Chapter 61 Are all the students in Class B little angels?
____
"This isn't good. Your Class B is having a social gathering, and I'm not from Class B," Rin Matsuoka said subtly.
"What's wrong with that?" Ichinose Honami leaned toward Rin, her soft fragrance drifting toward him as she spoke seriously. "We're friends, and everyone in Class B is my friend too, so we're all friends."
"Friends don't need to care about which class each other is in."
Wow, Ichinose, are you some kind of angel? Rin thought.
Because Ichinose Honami's invitation was so enthusiastic, she even took the initiative to grab Rin's arm, preventing him from leaving.
Rin had no choice but to be half-forced and half-willing as he followed Ichinose into the Class B classroom.
The atmosphere inside was exceptionally lively and harmonious, with nearly every student smiling. It made sense; if they weren't interested in socializing, they wouldn't still be there. Students with withdrawn personalities, like Horikita Suzune, would have left long ago.
"Everyone, we're back~" Ichinose Honami called out cheerfully to the room. "We also bought a lot of drinks, so if you want one, come and get it!"
"Welcome back, Ichinose-san! I was just wondering where you disappeared to. Turns out you went to buy drinks with this classmate... wait, who is he?"
The girl speaking to Ichinose suddenly looked at Rin in confusion. He Isn't a boy from their Class B?
After all, Rin was so handsome. If he was in Class B, she definitely would have remembered him!
Wait a second, isn't this the boy who was called up by the chairman before?
The students in Class B began looking curiously at Ichinose and Rin. Rin rubbed his nose awkwardly.
"Hello, I'm Rin Matsuoka, from Class D, first year."
"He's also my friend, so I hope you don't mind him joining us," Ichinose said with a bright smile, stepping closer to Rin.
"No problem."
"Yeah, I don't mind at all! The more people, the merrier!"
The girls in Class B had no objections to a handsome boy joining their gathering, and while the boys were a little bothered, they didn't say anything that might ruin the mood, since the girls had already agreed.
Thus, Rin, a student from another class, was now part of Class B's social gathering.
He had to admit, the atmosphere in Class B, with Ichinose Honami there, was wonderful. Every student seemed genuinely warm and welcoming. Rin couldn't help but think, Are all the students in Class B little angels?
The only thing that slightly dampened the experience was the lack of pretty girls in Class B.
Ichinose Honami was certainly the standout beauty.
One other girl, with a bob haircut, was kind of cute. Her name seemed to be Shiranami Chihiro, but... was Rin imagining things, or did she seem a bit hostile toward him?
It felt like she didn't like him much.
The reason was simple enough.
Chihiro Shiranami liked Ichinose Honami, her classmate, very much.
And Ichinose Honami had stayed by Rin's side the whole time, smiling and talking to him.
Because of this, Shiranami Chihiro viewed Rin as a "rival in love" and had become hostile toward him!
In addition to Chihiro Shiranami with her bob haircut, there was another girl worth noting.
This girl was quite good-looking, with long hair tied into two ponytails and three earrings in her ears, giving her a bit of a bad-girl vibe.
Moreover, she had dead eyes and exuded a sense of decadence. Her ear piercings, her vacant gaze, and her overall expression were entirely out of place in Class B's harmonious atmosphere.
In a class full of little angels, this girl with her pierced ears and lifeless eyes stood out.
Ichinose, who had been focusing her attention on Rin Matsuoka, noticed his gaze wandering elsewhere. She curiously followed his line of sight and spotted the girl sitting in the corner.
"Rin, what are you looking at?" Ichinose asked, pretending not to know.
"Isn't there a girl sitting in the corner? I'm looking at her," Rin answered honestly.
Ichinose pursed her lips and, sounding a little concerned but keeping her tone casual, asked, "That's Himeno Yuki-san. Are you interested in her, Rin?"
"I'm not interested in her at all. I'm just curious about her ears. Didn't you notice that she has multiple ear piercings?" Rin replied, shifting his gaze back to Ichinose.
Relieved, Ichinose smiled brightly, "Oh, I see. I once asked Himeno-san why she had so many piercings. Didn't it hurt? Wasn't she afraid?"
"She said she doesn't actually have piercings. The accessories on her ears are ear clips. She wears them without piercing her ears."
"I see."
Noticing Rin had only sighed and stopped talking, Ichinose leaned closer with a playful smile, "If you like girls like Himeno-san, I can help you get her Line account."
"Forget it. It's a bit rude, but I don't like girls with dead eyes…"
"Haha, that is pretty rude, Rin," Ichinose giggled, her eyes curving into crescents. "Himeno-san is just going through something. If she cheers up, her eyes would be beautiful."
"Maybe," Rin muttered, not entirely convinced.
In truth, Rin had no interest in Himeno Yuki. The girl he imagined as a girlfriend would be someone like Ichinose Honami—someone with a great figure, super fair skin, and a cheerful, enthusiastic personality.
"Then, Rin, are you interested in any girl in our class? I can help you get her Line," Ichinose said with a teasing smile.
Rin turned to look at Ichinose, and instead of responding, he pulled out his cell phone from his pocket and handed it to her.
"Hmm?" A look of confusion appeared on Ichinose's face.
"I'm currently asking the girl I'm interested in for her Line account. I don't know if she'll agree," Rin said, a playful grin on his face.
"…"
Ichinose was momentarily stunned. Her face flushed slightly as she lowered her eyes, looking shy and undeniably pretty.
The bashful Ichinose didn't say anything. She simply pulled out her phone from the pocket of her school uniform and opened her Line app.
With a soft smile, Rin and the shy Ichinose Honami exchanged Line accounts and followed each other.
Rin took a quick glance at Ichinose's Line follow list. The names were densely packed, almost overwhelming. It seemed she was following every student in Class B.
Completely different from a certain ice cube, Rin thought to himself.
After their Line exchange, Ichinose, still holding her phone, shyly stood up. "I'm going to grab a drink. Do you want one too, Rin? I'll get it for you," she offered with a smile.
