Rin Matsuoka thought again, Sakura Airi is so shy; why am I teasing her?
It would be bad if I made her cry.
[Don't worry, I won't forget. I'll go to bed early tonight and get enough rest for my date with you.]
Sitting in front of her desk, Sakura Airi read Rin's Line message. Her cheeks immediately flushed with shyness, and her tender white legs pressed together and rubbed slightly under the desk.
Sakura Airi was both extremely shy and incredibly happy.
"Rin-san is going on a date with me… hehe." With her face glowing red, Sakura let out a laugh that was both cute and a little awkward.
Touching her warm cheeks, Sakura quickly typed a response to Rin.
[Well, I'm going to take a break now. See you tomorrow, Rin-san!]
[Okay, see you tomorrow.]
Too shy to continue chatting, Sakura Airi hurriedly ended the Line conversation with Rin.

Sakura parted her crystal-clear lips, letting out a soft breath. She glanced at her bed, where several shopping bags were neatly arranged.
Inside those bags were clothes and cosmetics Sakura had secretly purchased at the mall after school that afternoon.
These items had cost her a significant amount of personal points.
In order to leave a good and beautiful impression on Rin, Sakura Airi had spared no expense.
"I'll take a shower and then sleep, so I can be well-rested for my date with Rin-san…" Sakura murmured, holding her flushed cheeks. Her face was filled with a mix of shyness and anticipation as she grabbed her yukata and walked into the bathroom.
After finishing his Line conversation with Sakura Airi, Rin Matsuoka stared at his phone, wondering if anyone else had sent him a message.
"No one?"
Just as Rin said this, his phone buzzed.
This time, it was Karuizawa Kei who had sent him a Line message.
[Rin, I know you're busy on Saturday, but come with me to the movies on Sunday! Matsushita told me there's an awesome sci-fi movie playing at the mall's cinema!]
[I know you love sci-fi movies the most. Let me treat you to one!]
Rin replied with deliberate bluntness.
[I can't. I already have a date on Sunday, and the girl I'm meeting has big breasts.]
His response was intentionally low in emotional intelligence.
Rin knew exactly what Karuizawa Kei was trying to do—she still hadn't given up on using him as a shield.
Otherwise, why else would Karuizawa Kei keep approaching him every day?

Seeing Rin's response, Karuizawa Kei puffed up her cheeks, lay on her bed with her slender legs swinging, and angrily responded to Rin's words.

For some reason, even though Rin insulted her, mocked her, didn't console her, and outright rejected her, Karuizawa Kei couldn't bring herself to give up on him.
It was as if Karuizawa Kei had made up her mind about Rin and wouldn't give up or retreat, no matter what.
This kind of girl, Rin thought, was the type who might even help keep watch if you were about to do something shady.

Another message from Karuizawa Kei arrived.
[Rin-san, you have plans on Saturday and Sunday, but surely you can make some time for me. I'll treat you to dinner, a movie, or whatever you'd like.]
Rin could sense the humble tone and attitude in her words, and it gave him a headache.
[Karuizawa-san, I've told you—I want to find a girlfriend and fall in love with her. I won't pretend to be your boyfriend.]
[I know, and I no longer have any intention of asking you to pretend to be my boyfriend! I promise!]
That was true. Karuizawa Kei no longer wanted Rin to pretend to be her boyfriend. She wanted to be his real girlfriend.
[Rin-san, we're friends, right? When a friend invites you to dinner or a movie, you wouldn't refuse, would you?]
