Chapter 26 - C:26

The morning sunlight filtered gently through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Eldara lay draped over me, her body still flushed and warm from our earlier Elantra session. She was clearly exhausted, her breath slow and deep, but her eyes glimmered with that familiar mix of affection and teasing. Her silver hair spilled over my chest like a silken river, tickling my skin as she shifted slightly, her soft curves pressed against me.

Hestia was still sound asleep, curled up at my side, a peaceful expression on her face as she clung to me, her warmth and presence grounding the moment in a kind of serene intimacy.

Eldara lifted her head, her face inches from mine, her lips curling into a lazy, satisfied smile. "You know," she began in a sultry whisper, "I never thought I'd say this, but you might just be too much for me, Rosé."

I chuckled softly, brushing a lock of her hair back from her face. "Too much? You seemed to handle yourself just fine last night," I teased, my fingers tracing the soft lines of her back.

She raised an eyebrow, her fingers playfully dancing across my chest. "Oh, don't get me wrong. I survived… barely," she teased back, biting her lower lip. "But if we keep going like this, you'll have to carry me around everywhere. I'm not sure I'll be able to walk again for a week."

A smirk spread across my face. "Well, I wouldn't mind carrying you around. But you know, you've always been able to keep up with me before. Have I finally broken the unbreakable Eldara?"

She laughed softly, leaning down so her lips brushed against mine. "I wouldn't say broken. Maybe just... pleasantly overwhelmed," she whispered before pulling back slightly, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Though if I'm being honest, I wouldn't mind you doing the carrying today."

I leaned up, kissing her lightly, my lips lingering on hers. "If that's what you want, I'd be happy to oblige. But don't think I'm going to go easy on you next time."

Eldara purred softly, a playful grin forming. "Oh, I wouldn't dream of it. That's half the fun, isn't it? Pushing me to my limits, making sure I can't even think straight." She nuzzled into my neck, her breath warm against my skin. "You have no idea how much I enjoy it."

I smiled, wrapping my arms around her and holding her close. "And you have no idea how much I enjoy pushing you to that point."

Her fingers traced the intricate tattoos on my chest, her eyes lazily following their paths as they glowed softly under her touch. "You're trouble, Rosé," she whispered, her voice full of affection. "But I love every bit of it. It's rare to find someone who can challenge me like you do... in more ways than one."

I chuckled, feeling the heat of her body against mine. "Maybe that's because you've never met anyone quite like me."

Eldara sighed softly, her exhaustion catching up with her as she rested her head against my chest. "Mmm, true. You're one of a kind," she murmured, her voice growing softer. "Though I do have to admit, I didn't expect to be so completely... drained."

I smirked, my hand idly tracing circles along her back. "I guess I'll have to make sure you get plenty of rest. Don't want you collapsing on me."

She smiled sleepily, her eyes fluttering shut. "Mmm, I wouldn't mind that," she teased, though her voice was quieter now, her body clearly giving in to her fatigue. "But for now, I think I'll just enjoy being here... with you."

I kissed the top of her head, my fingers still gently stroking her back. "Take your time, Eldara. We have all the time in the world."

Her breathing slowed, becoming softer and deeper as she finally succumbed to sleep, her body relaxing completely against mine. I held her close, feeling the peaceful rise and fall of her chest as she slept, her warmth and presence filling me with a quiet sense of contentment.

Hestia remained peacefully curled up beside me, still lost in her own dreams, her arm draped over my side. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two women resting so comfortably beside me.

As the sunlight continued to fill the room, I found myself lost in the warmth of the moment, the world outside seeming distant and unimportant. For now, everything I needed was right here, in this quiet, intimate space, surrounded by those I loved.

With Eldara softly snoring against my chest and Hestia still sound asleep beside me, I closed my eyes, letting myself drift into a calm, peaceful state. There would be time for everything else later. But for now, I was content to simply be here, enjoying the simple, perfect moment with them.

As Hestia and Eldara finally stirred and got up, the peaceful serenity of the morning gave way to knowing looks exchanged between the two women. They moved languidly, their bodies still recovering from the intense Elantra sessions of the night and early morning. After dressing, they both shot me playful smiles before heading downstairs for breakfast.

When we arrived in the grand dining hall, the scene was almost comical. The entire family was already gathered, sitting around the large, ornately carved table, seemingly in the middle of casual conversation. But as soon as they caught sight of us, a wave of sly smiles and knowing glances spread through the group. It was clear they had been waiting for this moment.

Rosalia, always the first to break the silence, raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a mischievous grin. "Well, well... look who finally decided to grace us with their presence. We were starting to think you three had forgotten about us."

Liora, who sat next to her, leaned forward with a teasing smirk. "Or maybe you were just too... *busy* to remember dinner last night," she added, her tone dripping with mock innocence.

Selene chimed in, her arms crossed as she fixed Hestia with an amused look. "We did come by to check on you three when you didn't show up. The entire house was quiet, but from the looks of it now, it seems things were... anything *but* quiet."

Eldara, still slightly flushed from the teasing, shot me a sideways glance but wore her usual smirk. Hestia, on the other hand, rolled her eyes dramatically, clearly used to the family's playful banter. "You all have nothing better to do than speculate, don't you?" she quipped, but the slight flush of color on her cheeks betrayed her.

Aurora, always quick to catch on, leaned across the table, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Come on, Hestia. Eldara. Spill the details," she teased, her voice full of mock suspense. "We're all dying to know what happened after you disappeared upstairs with Rosé."

Even Elara, who was usually more reserved, joined in on the fun, her eyes glimmering with amusement. "Yes, we noticed you were all very... quiet. Suspiciously quiet, in fact."

By now, the entire family had surrounded Hestia and Eldara, eager for gossip. It was like a pack of playful wolves circling their prey, all smiles and laughter.

Eldara, never one to shy away from attention, raised an eyebrow and let out a dramatic sigh. "Well, if you *must* know, Rosé was his usual... overwhelming self," she said, glancing in my direction with a teasing smile. "Honestly, I'm still not sure how we survived."

The room erupted in laughter, with even Hestia shaking her head, though the smile on her face was undeniable. "Survived is one way to put it," Hestia chimed in, her voice playful. "Though I'll admit, I was ready to sleep for a week after that."

Rosalia leaned forward, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, we're sure you were," she teased. "But now that you're up, don't think you can get away without giving us all the juicy details."

Eldara laughed, throwing her hands up in mock defeat. "Alright, alright! But really, it's not as exciting as you all think," she began, though her eyes betrayed her amusement. "Rosé just has a way of... keeping us on our toes, let's say."

Hestia nodded, grinning. "That's one way to put it. Though I'd say it's more like he keeps us... under his thumb," she added with a wink in my direction, causing the room to erupt in laughter once again.

Aurora, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up, her tone a mix of playful jealousy and admiration. "I swear, Rosé is going to ruin all of us at this rate. You two look positively glowing this morning."

Selene shook her head with a chuckle. "Glowing is an understatement. They look like they've been through a war and came out the other side victorious."

Rosalia, sensing the lighthearted mood, finally leaned back in her chair, her laughter subsiding as she wiped a tear from her eye. "Alright, enough teasing. You've both clearly earned your rest, though we'll be expecting a rematch at dinner tonight," she added with a wink.

Eldara and Hestia exchanged amused glances before Eldara spoke again. "Oh, we'll be there," she promised, her voice dripping with mock menace. "And next time, we'll make sure we don't miss dinner... *or* dessert."

The teasing continued for a while longer, with each family member chiming in with their own playful jabs. But despite the relentless teasing, there was an undeniable warmth in the air. The family's bond was strong, and moments like these only served to strengthen it further.

As the laughter finally began to die down, Rosalia stood up, her smile turning into one of pride as she waved her hands toward the kitchen. "Alright, enough of this. Breakfast is ready, and I've made something special out of those new crops we harvested yesterday."

The family's attention shifted immediately, the mention of food—especially Rosalia's cooking—always enough to quiet the room. Plates began to fill the table, each dish more vibrant and enticing than the last, all crafted with Rosalia's expert touch using the freshly harvested crops.

As we sat down to eat, the teasing and laughter continued, but now it was accompanied by the clinking of dishes and the satisfied hums of everyone enjoying Rosalia's culinary masterpieces.

Eldara leaned in close to me as she picked up her fork, her voice soft but playful. "You know," she whispered, "after all that teasing, I'm beginning to think we should've made them jealous for a little longer."

I grinned, my hand resting on her leg under the table. "Oh, don't worry," I whispered back. "We'll have plenty of chances to do that."

And with that, the morning continued, filled with warmth, love, and the playful energy that only family could bring.
