Mrs. Robinson was shocked beyond words by this news. Her son who didn't want any woman in his life got married. She can't believe this. She knows her son's love for Lisa Woods. And she also knows he still loves her eventhough she betrayed him in a worst possible way. Lisa Woods took away her only son's happiness.
Mrs. Robinson couldn't help herself but to hate Lisa Woods for everything she did to her son. She'd hoped that Lisa and Robert would get married and live happily forever. But fate has another plans for them.
Mrs. Robinson know her son was still waiting for her return. Now that he was married to his bestfriend, she was worried about Sarah, 'what if Lisa came back to him?' she thought.
But still she is happy that he chose to start his life with someone, and that someone happened to be his bestfriend whom she adored dearly.
Mrs. Robinson happily welcomed Sarah by hugging her. Sarah who was so nervous about her reaction startled and returned her hug after a moment.
"I'm happy for you both. Welcome home, dear", saying this Mrs.Robinson broke from her hug and smiled at her.
"Thanks, aunty" replied Lisa smiling back at her.
Robert interrupted them by saying," Can I talk to my wife now, Mom?".
Mrs. Robinson happily pushed Sarah to Robert, "Go, Go, Let's have dinner together".
"Okay Mom!" Robert said while dragging Sarah to his room.
Inside bedroom...
Once they came inside, Robert locked the door.
Lisa looked at him confusingly, " why are you locking the door?".
Robert just gazed at her with his not so gentle look before taking a seat on the sofa inside the room and said," we have to talk".
Assuming it would took sometime to finish their talk, Lisa took a seat at the corner of the bed.
Lisa know from his expression that he is struggling with words to explain to her whatever he wants to deliver.
After a few minutes of staring, he started to talk," Sarah, I'm sorry for my abrupt decision on marrying you without talking to you or explaining anything to you. Like I said before, don't expect me to love you. My heart belongs to Rosy's mother. We can be friends like we were before. And I won't talk about divorce unless you wants to. I know you have a soft heart for children. Just treat my daughter well. She thinks of you as her real mother. And I don't want her to know about her real mother."
Lisa didn't reply to him as his last sentence stabbed her heart, "Am I unworthy of being acknowledged by her daughter?" Yes! I hurted them terribly. But I'm surprised to know his heart still belongs to me. Should I be worried... Or happy?" Lisa thought confusedly.
"Sarah!.." Robert's voice broke her line of thoughts.
"Alright, Berty!" Sarah replied.
Hearing her calling him Berty again, Robert was confused. Because the only who called him 'Berty' was Lisa Woods. He didn't like the nickname she gave him at first. But he got used to it anyway. Now, Sarah calling him with that name brought him bitter sweet feelings. It reminded him of Lisa, the one whom he loved madly ,wholeheartedly and the one whom abandoned him heartlessly.
Lisa knows she made a mistake by calling him Berty. She could see, he was trying to control his emotions by his fistened hands and the look on his eyes.
"Don't ever call me 'Berty' again", Robert scowls in a low voice and left the room angrily.
Robert climbed down the stairs fastly and made his way to the door. Mrs . Robinson who was in the living area called out to him but he didn't spare her a glance at left in long strides.
Mrs. Robinson followed after him ,only to see him speeding up his car. She worriedly looked up at his bedroom in the first floor, only to see Sarah standing there at the end of the stairs with teary eyes. She immediately ran towards their bedroom and shut the door.
Mrs. Robinson could see her daughter-in-law is hurt by his behaviour. Now, she know her thoughts were right. Her son only got married because of his daughter. He might have hurted Sarah in the process of making his daughter happy or because of his love towards Lisa.
'Lisa , when will you stop haunting my son?' Mrs. Robinson sighed.
Meanwhile, Rosa was eagerly getting ready to do her Homework with her mother. Her friends would always talk about how their mother helps them to do their homework, making them snacks, playing with them , sleeping while hugging their mother ,etc. Rosa also wanted to do everything with her mother. She always longed for her Mother, and she had a feeling her Mother and she will do all things together from now on.
Rosa had a bucket list ready for everything she wants to do with her mother. Her father promised her to bring her mother today and he fullfilled his promise. Rosa made a mental note to thank her Dad properly. She had already cleaned herself and dressed in her comfy home clothes.
She happily climbed down the stairs to spend time with her mother. She spots her grandmother in the living room, spacing out.
"Grandma, where is Mommy?" Rosa asked while checking the kitchen.
The little girl started to feel scared that her Mom left her again and started asking anxiously, " Grandma , did I take long time to get refreshed? Was Mommy angry? Did she get angry ? Where is she? Is she left.. again?" At the end of her question, tears started to fall from her cheeks.
Mrs. Robinson was startled to see her tears. She took little Rosa on her lap and explained while wiping her tears, " Mommy travelled from a long distance to meet our little Rosy and she is very tired. You know she is sick right? Mommy is just taking rest at your father's room. Your mom will be sad to see tears in your eyes. So don't cry, baby".
Whenever Rosa asked about her mother, Robert would stay quiet. Little Rosa was very upset that she didn't have a Mother. So Mrs. Robinson lied to her saying her mother is in far place recuperating her health after Rosa was born.Rosa was relieved to know that her Mom didn't leave her alone again.
" Can I see my mother, Grandma? I won't disturb her, I'll just see her from a distance" Rosa requested her grandmother.
