Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 13

Alexandra trembles in fear as she slips into the discipline chamber of her Master. Her body was slick with sweat as she removed her silken dress over her head. Her body is maintained with oils and waxed and maintained weekly. But she is no longer the beautiful, flawless woman she was in her youth.

From birthing several children to struggling under Boris' wrath, she is marked by time. The one thing she has done that no one else has is give herself completely to Viktor. She has never questioned him or even asked for a thing. Everything that Viktor has ever given or done for her was of his own free will.Viktor has been treated better than anyone alive. Better than her parents, siblings, children, and especially her husband. Everyone focused on their wants and needs to pay attention to her. He was the only, especially the only man, who ever made her feel like her opinion and thoughts mattered and that she had value beyond the fact that she could produce beautiful children.Alexandra feels isolated within the walls of the soundproof playroom. Small bumps form on the surface of her skin as she feels the chilled air, which always takes her breath away. The room is kept chilly to ensure the girls' minds are alert and her nipples tighten. Taking a deep breath, she lifts her feet to her as she removes her heels one at a time.Stepping a few inches, Alexandra feels herself lowered. She has always been self-conscious about her height and feeling less than others. It wasn't the only reason, thanks to Boris, but she felt different the moment she put on heels. She felt as if the new perspective was a chance to escape. But now, out of the heels, she feels low.Her heartbeat sounds in her ears as she hears the snap of a lighter. Facing the door, she presses it with the palms of her hands, ensuring it is secure. Turning around, she crouches, keeping her back straight as her body lowers a deep squat. Allowing her hips to be pulled back Alexandra naturally falls into a kneel at the edge of the quiet chamber.Leaning her head down, she waits for him, knowing she has done wrong. She has made Mandy a promise that she shouldn't have. Alexandra has never had any authority over Viktor, and she felt the sting, the strike against her soul, hearihearing Mary'sm she had in the great hall. Even Kama had sucked in her breath in surprise, and the look she received was one of fear.Alexandra twists her head as her blond hair Cascades down over her face and body. She never knew why he desired her as she was far from the beauty of her youth. The extra weight caused damage and marks, not including the scars and cuts that Boris has left. She was not a fair-haired, flawless beauty, but still, in Viktor's eyes, she felt wanted. She has promised something to a girl that only Viktor himself could grant. Something as tender as true freedom, the freedom to leave the estate and choose to come back, is beautiful. A right that Alexandra herself has earned and is for a moment fearful she could have lost. In the announcement that she would do everything in her power, she promoted herself over her Master.Breathing deeply Alexandra tries to stop the constant ringing in her ears. She tells herself that it will be okay, repeating the words over and over again in her mind. She knows that no matter what happens, she is safe. He would never do anything to her like he did to Boris for he had promised to keep her safe.Viktor has whipped, caned, stripped, and branded her with the wolf head. But he has never said a harsh thing to her, never raised his voice, never cursed her, or told her how worthless she was. Everything he had punished her with was physical in a form that caused discomfort or pain that lingered for hours, days, or weeks. But the impact he made, the way he treated her, had never broken her soul and made her question the value of her life.Alexandra wishes that she had trusted Viktor in her moment of panic. She wishes that she had understood that a man who had never told her that she was worthless would never let harm come to her daughter. She wished she had known in her soul that he was not Boris. But with a history as dark as hers, how can you know? How can you truly know what lies within the heart and soul of a man? Even at one point, Boris seemed to be the answer to Alexandra's prayers.
