Of all the things I expected him to say, this wasn't even on the list. My heart's racing like a panicked fish flopping on dry land, while his voice remains infuriatingly calm, like a cat pretending it didn't just fall off the couch.
This guy is impossible to understand!
"You knew?" I hiss, clutching the paper tighter. "And you didn't think to mention it? You're acting like it's just another Sunday, Jun!"
"Relax, Bunny," he says, the faintest hint of amusement in his tone. "Panicking won't help."
