Chapter 7 - A small Toast

Too Strong

Man this system keeps getting better, Tahir mumbled to himself.

Getting in a fighting position, Tahir attacked with his swords, using speed and strength Tahir moved at such speed that the whole class was surprised.

I know something was off about this kid, the teacher cursed as he tightened his grip on his sword and slammed his feet on the ground to gather momentum to tank Tahir's attacked, as the swords clashed spark was been seen, Tahir not ready to give the teacher breathing space spun his body in a weird way as he went in for a kick to the teacher side, who in turn blocked the kick using his free hand, Tahir jumped back as he was trying to retain his energy.

It was clear the strength in power as Tahir was panting, while the teacher stood perfectly fine. moving again Tahir swung his sword but before it could reach the teacher, a surge of energy Burst out of John's sword which slammed Tahir to the wall.

Shit he caused under his breath as he tried to attack again but stop in his tracks as he felt a cold metallic touch under his chin, a sign that the teacher is declaring his victory. The frown from Tahir's face changed as a sly smile was pouting on his lips as he points to the teacher's side.

Looking at his side he saw Tahir holding a little dagger to his side, small inches away from stabbing into him.

"I declare the match a tie, " the teacher said, as the class was going into another round of mumbling.

I must admit, I Underestimated you. Aside from your strength, you are also smart."

"Someone once told me, winning a battle isn't mostly with strength, ending a battle doesn't necessarily need blood shade." Tahir replied.

"That person must be smart," the teacher said with a smile.

"He certainly is, also I noticed you were kind of holding back against me, you could have taken me down very easily, that's how I was able to get the dagger in, swordsmen never underestimate an enemy, no matter how small." Tahir said as he gave the teacher a respectful bow.

That teacher, something is weird about him, I mean he was clearly letting his qi flow, a way to tell me he was a qi user

"And yet you ignored all the signs he was flinging at you." Bruce said rude as usual.

"We have a policy at the shadow fang, we aren't allowed to show anybody the qi, it is a sacred power, so knowing means he is from shadow fang on an undercover mission or he was thought by an outsider."

Tahir and his new friends kept chatting in his head that he forgot about his friend. Until Kelvin told him that they are all to meet up after class.

The teacher cleared his throat, a signal to tell them all he got something important to say and would want all the attention he could get.

"So, for the next two weeks we will all be doing weapon training and learning about beasts and there are Powers.

Reason being we are preparing for the next Beast hunt.

Till then you all can use the sports hall for training.

That's all for today, y'all should have some rest, and try to squad up, there is going to be a competition, a competition where you will hunt down beasts more information would be released as time goes on.

Have a nice day." With that the teacher left.

Tahir, noticing that Esha was still looking grumpy, advised they all go out and have some drinks.

"Hey Kris ping Zahra to meet us all, at the canteen.

That is the least I can thank Esha and Zahra for yesterday."

****

Laying on her bed and taking another watch from her bag, Cassy placed a call back to her masters.

"This is cassy, reporting on how the mission is going. I just found the boy and for some reason he isn't with the sword yet, I saw him with two of his swords. I'm asking for more time."

"How much time do you need?," A man from the other end asked.

"I need 4 more weeks added to my time."

A prolonged silence was on the other side till she heard the man's voice again.

"6 weeks, that is the highest we can give you."

With that the connection was ended from the other side.

Sigh, I got to find a way for them to let me in their cycle, I must get that sword.

Zahara received the ping from Kris as she was on the way to the canteen.

Coming from afar Tahir saw Zahra. He walked towards her stretching his hands out to Zahra for a handshake, Zahra ignored the hand as she gave him a hug. She did the same with everyone as he sat down on her seat.

Starting the conversation was Tahir, as he ordered wine and gave a toast to Zahra and esha.

"On behalf of me and Kris, I'm giving this toast to Esha and Zahra for the help they gave us earlier yesterday.

I hope through this we could all get to know each other."

With that they all started explaining themselves.

"My name is Zahra, I'm actually an ice ability user, as y'all noticed." Zahra was the one to speak up first.

"I'm actually Esha, a dual ability user, I got the block ability and the healing ability, my abilities are mainly useless in battles."

"I'm Kris, I got the inverse ability, an ability that allows me to copy abilities and use the inverse of it while still been able to retain the original, in as much as the ability sounds cool, it isn't. I mean the abilities I copy doesn't stay long and i have to make a direct contact with who's ever ability I want to copy, I hope this stays between us tho." He said with a chuckle.

It was Tahir's turn to speak up, he was thinking of mentioning to them about the system and about him being a deadly assassin of the shadow fang. After much debate, he decided not to.

"I'm Tahir, I'm a no ability user, I'm a swordsman and what I don't make up for in ability, I make up for in swordsmanship," that was all he said before sipping his drink.

"So let me get this straight, we have a dual ability user, an ice user, an inverse user, and a swordsman. I think this is the definition of the best group ever." Kris said while laughing.

Watching from afar was cassy, she was planning her attack and she got just the right idea.

"I think I'm going to call the boss once more." She said to herself.

Looking towards her direction was Tahir as he stared at her, due to the system intervention he could see and hear from afar.

How did he see me from this far, she murmured to herself..
