Tahir was unable to sleep the entire time. He was lost in thought, consumed by excitement. The sun seemed to be taking too long to rise. The sun finally rose.
John gathered his team while briefing them on the rules. Tahir also informed his teammates about his decision and the mask. They all thought he was crazy at first, but eventually agreed.
Looking at the other school. Tahir noticed about four students wearing hoods and not paying attention to what their guardian was saying. Tahir could feel it; he could sense strength emanating from one of the members. And a broad smile appeared beneath his mask.
"Announcement, Before the tournament began, I would like to say that seven world leaders are present today;" when the announcer mentioned the world leader, the entire stadium erupted in cheers.
World leaders are those who believe in maintaining global peace. They were the ones identified after the war with the aliens.
Tahir sensed they were on a completely different level.
"That being said, I would love to read the rules to you all.
The rules are straightforward.
You are disqualified the moment you leave the ring during a match.
The match ends when of any of you give up or pass out. During this stage, killing is strictly prohibited.
That being said, I would like to see the first Military Academy participant, also known as a three-year champion, come out!! In addition, a participant from the II division steps forward and the match will begin."
The match ended quickly, as the second-division fighter was quickly overwhelmed.
The fight went on until it was Kris' turn.
"Kris from the second division, as well as Jade from the first division, should step out.
Let the competition begin! The announcer exclaimed."
Kris, not wanting to waste time, copied Zahra's ability and created thousands of sharp Ice spears.
The spears hovered above them. Approximately half of the spears were dropped, before his opponent could react the spears stabbed him in several places, avoiding the vital area. Kris's opponent was completely immobile as Kris approached him. His movements were cold as his entire arm became covered in ice. Slamming his ice-covered hand on his opponent's head knocked him out.
"Unbelievable! That was a short fight. It happened so quickly that the opponent had no chance to defend himself. I believe the second division denotes business." The announcer stated.
"Excellent work! Kris," Esha, and Zahra said as they hugged him. Kris had a beaming smile. He could not believe two stunning women were clinging to him.
"You did great, man. That was a sleek move. You showed them that the second division is not here to joke." Tahir said as he fist-bumped Kris.
"We would be taking a quick break. After the break, things will become much more interesting. The announcer said with enthusiasm."
John circled his team while they were making a decision. In contrast, the first division did not appear to be scared or disturbed.
"Finally, the break is over!! I will need Esha to enter the ring. She would be facing off against Santos. Let the competition begin!" The announcer spoke once more.
"A girl? This is going to be enjoyable." Santos said aloud.
Esha used her block ability to slam right into him, knocking him out of the ring before he could figure out what she was doing.
The entire stage area was quiet because not everyone understood what had just happened.
The match is over!!
"Esha from the second division advanced to the night stage.
Zahra and Elvis are next on the list. Please step up." The announcer's voice echoed once more.
Moving up the stage, Zahra and Elvis both appeared serious, as Elvis was not about to underestimate the second division again.
Elvis swung into action, producing a slew of earth daggers. All were directed towards Zahra. Creating a condensed ice slab against herself, it all collided, smashing the earth daggers to pieces.
Immediately, the attacks ceased. Elvis was being attacked by ice discs as he created earth armor to protect himself from the discs.
Just when Zahra thought everything was over, an earth dagger pierced her shoulder.
Shit, Zahra cursed under her breath as she placed her hands on the wound to stop the bleeding by freezing it.
"I never thought I would use this, but I can not afford to lose here." Zahra said.
Taking a deep breath, the entire stage began to fill with ice; pillars of ice burst through the ground, and her entire body was covered in ice. The entire area appeared to be made of ice, as if some sort of chamber room had been built there.
"Allow me to introduce you to Ice Palace; with this, you enter my domain. None of your attacks would hit me, while all of mine would strike you. Being in here means you have two choices. Give up, or I will pierce your legs, rendering you motionless and throwing you outside."
The entire stage fell silent as soon as Zahra finished.
"She is exceptionally talented for her age." One of the world's leaders muttered.
"I see." Elvis mumbled.
Ignoring everything Zahra had just said, Elvis created his earth daggers and sent them to Zahra, but before they could strike, the entire daggers were frozen a few inches away from Zhara and redirected to face Elvis as they pierced his legs.
Elvis screams filled the stage as Zahra grabbed him by the collar and threw him off.
"Unbelievable. This year, the second division parked a lot. With this, the two academies are almost on par in terms of wins.
The next match would be between Jude and Edward."
They both stepped onto the stage right away.
"I do not want to hurt you, so I am giving you the opportunity to leave the stage." Jude spoke.
"Can you hear yourself? You sound ridiculous, man." Edward said this before launching his attack.
Edward was completely engulfed in flames. Fireballs were hurled at Jude as he stood.
"Sigh. I tried to warn you."
Jude stated as the attacks all crashed on his location, causing a gust of dust from the attack.
When the dust settled, Jude was nowhere to be found.
