Chapter 19 - Showing Sakura...around

CHAPTER 18.

They had arrived back at the academy. Denji welcomed her in and showed her to the room specifically prepared for her.

Meanwhile, Kenji and Gojin waited at the academy's gate, allowing her time to get settled before they would begin the tour and help her spend 90 times the amount of money she had made them spend - Kenji's money, actually.....

***

A few minutes later, Sakura came to meet them at the gate. She wore a red tracksuit and had a headphone draped around her neck.

"Where are we going first?" Sakura asked with a smile.

"I have a question; what technique do you have?" Gojin asked, staring into her eyes and moving close. He removed his sunglasses, revealing his emerald green eyes.

The strong and overwhelming aura came on her and even Kenji this time around.

"You'll know soon, I don't just show what I can do for fun." She quickly replied.

Gojin put on his sunglasses back, smiling weirdly. Kenji came in between them and placed a hand on Sakura's shoulder.

"Alright, let's start our Shibuya tour! First, we'll check out: Shibuya crossing. Then, we'll head to Takeshita street. Next up, omotesando."

"Shall we start our adventure for the day?"

Sakura nodded, and the three of them instantly resumed their walk to all the mentioned places. Suddenly, Denji appeared behind them.

"Buy 'Destruction Valley' game's disk when you get to Takeshita!" He shouted behind them, waving his hands in urgency.

The trio walked along Takeshita street, surrounded by multiple shops and lively chatter. They passed by boutiques, and snack stands. Gojin and Kenji enthusiastically dragged Sakura into a popular crepe shop.

"Let's try some delicious crepes!" Gojin exclaimed, smiling michevioulsy while staring at Sakura along with Kenji.

Inside, they ordered a variety of crepes, and Sakura payed ¥12,000 - that was just the beginning of the heavy cash she is going to spend.

Next, they visited the Shibuya 109 department store. Sakura browsed through the fashionable clothing racks - the cheap ones, while Gojin and Kenji tried on silly hats and sunglasses - overpriced ones which they knew so.

At the cashier, Sakura handed over ¥19,000 for their impulsive purchases.

"Am about to die, this is a Nightmare." Sakura thought, staring at her balance. She had only ¥1 million remaining, her two million monthly budget was dwindling rapidly. However, she could earn another one next month since all students receive a monthly allowance of ¥10 million, but this was her money that she had came with.

The group continued their tour, now strolling along omotesando's upscale shopping avenue. They popped into luxury brand stores with Sakura trying to stop them from buying anything.

She treated them to gourmet coffee at a cafe, costing ¥3000 - they were too young for coffees, but who knows about their age when they seemed even taller than people at the age except from Sakura, who literally looked like their younger sister. She was the same age with Gojin.

As the sun began to set, they walked toward Yoyagi park before heading to Nonbie Yokocho alley - filled with hubs and izakayas.

Izakayas are social gathering places where people come to enjoy food and drinks, socialise with friends and relax after work.

As the afternoon settled in and the night began to fall, Sakura's debit alert became more frequent. Gojin and Kenji remained oblivious, laughing and joking as Sakura's anxiety grew.

Debit alert after Debit alert flashed on her phone, each one made her wince and almost let out tears.

¥10, 000 gone here, extra thousands gone there while Gojin and Kenji carried ridiculous things. They had also bought what Denji told them to - the game disk which had cost over ¥19, 980 since they bought the collector's edition.

The collector's edition includes: the base game, season pass, exclusive in-game items, soundtrack CD, artbook and a collectible figurine.

Sakura's eyes widened as her balance was getting to the red with every purchases made.

Gojin and Kenji smiled, happy and carefree, as Sakura cried inside, thinking, "I'm going to die."

Now heading back to the academy, Gojin halted at the front of an abandoned warehouse in a quiet street, not many people were around. He sensed a soul clinging by.

"Well, since you've just got here, why don't you show us what you can do? Inside that warehouse, there's a grade 3 Exile soul - If you know what Exile souls are, I don't care as long as you can see them and have some little experience in martial arts or your technique. Kindly exorcise it, we'll be watching from overhere - the outside." Gojin said.

She grinned, almost like she was ready for it. Suddenly, the darkness around started to creep onto her hands and legs till they surrounded her whole body like it were greeting her.... Soon after, it moved onto her hand, forming a tool - shadow mallet.

She then vanished into thin air, appearing inside the large warehouse. Inside, multiple pallets and crates were scattered around with a warning sign at another door 'Something dangerous is here, Keep away.' She proceeded into the room.

"She is using a shadow technique!? How did she even learn it? She isn't from any clan." Kenji questioned.

He and Gojin held three tote bags each while waiting outside for her to be done - If she was talented enough, it wouldn't take her more than two minutes.

"Maybe she was born with it or something like that, we both know she possess Ki. Get smarter by reading more, you could do better in using your brains." Gojin replied, jokingly.

Suddenly, the disfigured soul leaped out of the warehouse through the upper window with a terrified look and cries, it began running away.  It seemed like it was scared of Sakura, and now running away instead of attacking.

Kenji and Gojin didn't bother to chase after it, and only waited for Sakura to come out and do her deed. Instantly, she leaped out of the same window and launched multiple shadowy tendrils at it before it could run any further. The tendrils stabbed it all over, and the soul began dispersing into ashes.

....Kenji and Gojin both clapped together, clearly teasing her for the victory.

"Who knew you could hunt?" Gojin teased.

A message came into Kenji's phone.

Denji - sensie: "Aren't you guys suppose to be back by now? Make sure you bought the game disc I asked for. "

"Oh, we would have to get back now...." Kenji suggested, putting his phone back into his pocket.
