Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: The Terrifying Aura

"Girlie, let me pay for your meal," the tall man offered with a smile, his eyes gleaming with greed as he stared at Lin Luoluo.

Lin Luoluo remained indifferent, ignoring him completely.

This disregard irked the man. He was a seventh-tier warrior—wherever he went, women fawned over him! How dare this girl brush him off?

"Are you deaf?" he asked coldly.

"Leave," Lin Luoluo glanced at him and replied calmly.

The man's pupils contracted at her words. In the next moment, he reached out to grab her, but with a subtle movement, Lin Luoluo dodged easily.

"Do you have a death wish?" Lin Luoluo's right hand gripped the hilt of her Soul-Slaying Sword.

Instantly, an intense, eerie energy erupted from her, radiating a pressure so powerful that the man's entire body began to tremble.

Thud!

In the next second, his legs gave out, and he fell to his knees, shaking uncontrollably.

What… what's going on?

This woman, how could she suddenly unleash such a terrifying presence?

The aura was bizarre, making him feel as if he were a helpless mouse caught in the gaze of a venomous snake—small and powerless.

"Why does it feel like the temperature just dropped?"

It wasn't just the man; the people around them also felt the change. The air around them seemed to grow colder, and the oppressive energy sent chills down their spines.

But in the next moment, the overwhelming aura vanished.

"Sir, are you alright?" the innkeeper asked, looking at the man in confusion. Nearby warriors glanced over, curious about why he was kneeling on the ground.

The man, face dark with embarrassment, stood up, his fists clenched tightly. "Damn it!" he muttered under his breath.

A woman had just frightened him! Him—a seventh-tier warrior!

His hands balled into fists as he replayed the incident in his mind, anger simmering beneath the surface.

Along the way, many eyes fell upon Lin Luoluo's face, which only added to her discomfort. Soon, she reached a large blacksmith shop.

"What can I do for you, miss?" asked a middle-aged blacksmith as soon as she walked in.

He was shirtless, sweat glistening on his muscular frame from working near the forge. The air inside was significantly hotter than outside due to the furnace's heat.

"I need a sword sheath," Lin Luoluo said, her voice cool.

"A sword sheath? No problem! Looks like your current one's in bad shape. Regular blacksmiths use lower-quality materials, but we offer the best," the blacksmith said proudly.

"I need the toughest sheath you can make," Lin Luoluo stated.

"The toughest?" The blacksmith blinked, surprised. Normally, people asked for lightweight, practical sheaths. This was the first time someone had requested something so sturdy.

"If you want the most durable, it'll be heavier," he warned.

"That's fine," she replied.

"Alright, then. How about one made from Red Flame Meteorite?" he suggested with a grin.

"That'll work."

Red Flame Meteorite was an extremely hard mineral, found only in regions with extreme heat. It had a deep, fiery red color.

"That'll be 200,000 gold coins," the blacksmith said, eyeing Lin Luoluo curiously, wondering if she could really afford such an expensive material.

"I'll give you 50,000 as a deposit. I'll pay the remaining 150,000 once it's done," Lin Luoluo replied.

With a flick of her wrist, a stack of gold notes appeared in her hand, drawn from her storage ring.

These gold notes were worth a thousand gold coins each, and she had collected them after looting the storage rings of the Earth Dragon warriors she had slain.

"Deal," the blacksmith said, satisfied as he inspected the gold notes.

"Now, may I take a look at your weapon?" he asked, eyeing the damaged sheath at her side.

The sword's violent aura was mostly contained within the sheath, but cracks ran along the surface, showing that it could barely hold the sword's energy anymore.

"Have a look," Lin Luoluo said as she drew the Soul-Slaying Sword.

Clang!

The blade rang out with a clear, crisp sound. The blacksmith's eyes widened in shock as he sensed the sword's immense power.

Though Lin Luoluo suppressed the sword's more ominous energies, the overwhelming killing intent it emitted could not be concealed. The sheer malevolence radiating from the blade caused the blacksmith to shudder involuntarily.

He glanced at Lin Luoluo, feeling uneasy. Her cold expression made him wonder if she might strike him down without hesitation.

This sword… it had killed countless people.

"Can I take a closer look…?" he swallowed hard, asking cautiously.

"Go ahead," Lin Luoluo replied flatly, still gripping the sword by the hilt, allowing him to examine the blade.

"I feel like I'm being stared at… It's gross," Ye Fan muttered from within the sword.

Still, these sheaths weren't any good. The sword's aura was too strong, and regular sheaths broke under the pressure. This one had barely lasted a few days.

The blacksmith admired the blade in awe. Its craftsmanship was nothing short of perfection, from the intricate Blood Lotus pattern to its eerie, captivating beauty. Looking at it too long was like staring into the depths of hell.

"Is that enough?" Lin Luoluo's voice pulled the blacksmith from his trance.

"Y-yes," he stammered, nodding. His years of experience allowed him to gauge the blade's dimensions and requirements quickly.

"Rest assured, I'll put my all into crafting the finest sheath for you!"
