In the grand Clinton's Estate, Shirley Lewiston sat amongst her family members smiling happily with tears of joy.
Victor Clinton who was an artist and the most funny among them made the room lively. Trump Clinton had another wife aside from Gaston and Victor's mother who was now dead.
The other wife who was also acting as mother to Gaston ans Victor had to children of which were girls. Mr Trump sat down opposite Shirley as she watched her siblings dance around her.
"Big sis, I'm happy you're no here, these two brothers won't have to bully us again" Camilla, one of Gaston's Stepsister said happily.
After the welcoming ritual which seems to last for ages, Mr Trump began. "Shirley, I have informed the stakeholders of the company of a meeting tommorow morning, I'll officially give you the post of the President of BIMS group"
Shirley gasped in shock the others also exclaimed. Victor was the first to talk, "But dad she didn't have any formal education in bussiness and enterprises?"
Trump Clinton nodded, "Let me finish what I'm saying Victor, Gaston will be there with her. She's the rightful owner of thr seat not me. Shirley, you're the real heiress to BIMS group"
Shirley didn't know what to say, she just looked at her new family with awe and surprise. Everything is still like a dream. After everything she was still an heiress. She held Trump Clinton's hand with soft expression, "Thank you Uncle, I won't let you down, I won't let you fail, the government sponsored out middle School and I have a formal education in bussiness, but with Gaston's help, I won't disappoint you"
Trump also patted her gently, "Yes Shirley, I trust you. Let that man know that you're not a person that he can mess with and go Scott free"
Shirley nodded.
The next morning.
At a high end conference room, old men and dignified women sat around the round table while an older man sat at the middle. Behind him, was Gaston Clinton and Shirley Lewiston.
Trump Clinton, the President of Bims group cleared his throat and started. "We shall begin the meeting"
Shirley looked around the room with keen eyes. If she was told last week that she would be among these people in a conference room, she'll deny the fact.
'This is no time for contemplating Shirley, I'm now the president of this big company, I must act like one"
Trump Clinton began his speech, most of it which Shirley didn't understand. Then he concluded, "I'm stepping down from this seat for Shirley Lewiston, My niece, she will be the new precious of BIMS group as from today onwards"
As he declared this, the stakeholders clapped the Shirley marched forward and shook hands with her uncle. In the previous night, Gaston had prepared the speech she'll deliver to the stakeholders.
She smiled with pride, she held her head high. "It's time to make Uncle proud" she thought then she began her speech by bowing to the stakeholders first.
The meeting ended on a very peaceful note as most stakeholder left the conference room with murmurs.
"Why will he step down for that inexperienced girl? They had turned it to family bussiness"
"Let her try, I wish her happy failure in advance"
"Shirley is her name right? She'll know very soon what it take to be a president"
"That young lady will actually rule over us? Not possible"
Several talks and criticisms rented the air as they left the room all of which Shirley heard half of it. She clenched her fists in anger and sadness. Getting criticized in the first day of work is definitely a bad omen.
Gently, Gaston held her hands and kissed the back of it before pulling her into a warm hug. Shirley leaned on his chest and let him comfort her as she sobbed gently.
"Gaston, will I be able to do this? Will I ever get to win over the hearts of these people? Will I ever be able to prove them wrong that I can do this?" She sobbed.
Gaston sighed as he pacified her again, "Yes Shirley, you'll do it. I'll be by your side. You don't need to win their hearts, win contracts that is how you can win them"
As they hugged, there was chaos in the reception. Several noises were heard Coming from the reception. Gaston held Shirley and they got there only to see Jesse Osborne struggling with the receptionists that were denying him access to enter.
Shirley and Gaston looked at each questioningly. Jesse sighted them and rushed towards them with anger.
"Gaston Clinton how dare you harbour my wife illegally? I'll drag BIMS group down if you don't release my wife, I'll let everyone know that you blackmailed my wife!" He shouted.
Shirley panicked. She held on to Gaston's hand tightly, She didn't know what to do. She knew how violent and angry Jesse could be whenever he needed something. She wondered why he had came to BIMS group.
Gaston walked forward still hands in hands with Shirley and said, "Mr Osborne, ain't you the one that needed to be arrested for barging into my company and make a scene?"
Jesse calmed for a bit upon hearing this. It's true, if they were to press charges against him then it would be more than what he expected. Then he spoke in a gentle voice. "Shirley, come with me, Mum's sick and she needs your attention"
Shirley was frightened. Mrs Osborne is a good woman and she knew about her heart problems. But she wasn't going to be a simple walkover wife again.
"Didn't you say you'll take care of your mother? Why should I go and see her when I'm not your wife? Let your Esther go there and stop creating scene" She said with remorse in her voice even though she wanted to go and see the woman.
Jesse was shocked, she had indeed changed from the simple Shirley he had married. Now, she looked more beautiful, commanding and exceptional. For a moment, Jesse regretted his actions.
Still he kept a brave face, seeing his ex wife with Gaston makes his blood boil. "Is it because of Gaston? Shirley are you forsaking the family that took care of you when you had no one? My mum is on the sick bed dying to see you, are you this heartless?"
This word stabbed her. 'Heartless' She loosed the one last remorse she had and disentangle her hands from Gaston's and stood arms akimbo in front of him. SE smirked like a boss lady that she was, "Heatless? Is that coming from a man that chased me out of his house without worrying how I would survive?"
Gaston smiled, this is the side of her that he wanted not a pushover Shirley that will be at Jesse Osborne's mercy.
Jesse also felt a little pang of remorse but his self respect is still intact.
"You cheated me first! You brought a fake pregnancy result, what did you expect from me if not divorce? Put yourself in my shoes and see what you'll do"
All memories and unspoken invincible pains that Shirley has been bearing streamed back to her spine. She shot back at him angrily.
"Did you even care about love? I loosed my baby Five years ago, you chased me out but I still stand by you refusing to let go. Did you think of all that? Listen here Jesse Osborne!" She sighed before Continuing, "I am no longer your wife! If you must see me, you have to book an appointment with me, I'm the president of BIMS group you should be at my favour"
After saying this, she held Gaston's hand again and they both left Jesse to ponder on what she just said. And of course, Jesse couldn't believe his ears. She was now the president of the biggest firm in Liverpool, the mighty BIMS group.
Dejectedly and sadly, he left the office.
As Shirley and Gaston got to the office, she broke down in tears. The walls are soundproof, she cries so much that Gaston felt compelled to leave her then come back again to hug her.
She cried in his arms again, "I loved him! Gaston before you found me, he was my only way of survival! Jesse didn't know how much I loved him and his family, I...."
Gaston patted her gently, "it's okay, let the past go, forget about him and focus on the company"
"I can't.... I want to forget Jesse but I can't. The arrow of betrayal, Every pain, every agony, every time he ignored me, hauted me. You can't believe that, I had to stay with him after loosing the first pregnancy because I had nowhere to go"
As she sobbed, Trump Clinton watched everything from the CCTV footage room. He felt that it was his fault, he felt that he was the cause of her pain and agony.
Only if he had not give up on looking for her, then she won't have stayed with Jesse after loosing the first pregnancy.
"I'm sorry sister, your daughter suffered because of me"
