Chapter 83 - Chapter : 85

Five days later, under the cloak of night, the Kaguya clan's stronghold was teeming with activity. In the large courtyard, the entire clan had gathered. Lanterns illuminated the area, casting flickering shadows on the grim faces of the clan members.

Men and women, young and old, stood united. Their faces bore the distinctive features of the Kaguya , and their pale, determined eyes gleamed under the moonlight. Tonight, the clan prepared to stake everything on a coup against the Hidden Mist Village.

At the forefront stood Hiashi Kaguya , the clan leader, his stern expression and commanding presence filling the square with an electrifying energy. His booming voice cut through the murmurs of the crowd.

"Tonight, we reclaim our pride!" he declared with conviction. "The Hidden Mist has oppressed us long enough. They mock our strength, but they do not understand the power of the Kaguya clan. Tonight, we show them our true might!"

Cheers erupted from the assembled clan members, their Byakugan eyes shimmering in the dark. Determination and zeal surged through the crowd as they raised their weapons and prepared for the assault.

Hiashi raised his arm to silence the crowd. "We fight for our future, for our clan's honor! Let the Hidden Mist tremble before us!"

The cheers grew louder, echoing through the compound. Amid the crowd stood a young boy with white hair and an expressionless face—Kimimaro, a child prodigy of the Kaguya clan. Unlike the others, his demeanor remained calm and detached as he moved with the throng.

At Hiashi's command, the Kaguya clan surged forward. Their target was clear: Kirigakure.

The Kaguya clan's advance was swift, and within half an hour, they reached the outskirts of Kirigakure. Fueled by a fanatical determination, they stormed the village gates without hesitation.

However, what greeted them was not a defenseless village. Kirigakure had anticipated the coup and had prepared a deadly ambush. Teams of elite Mist ninjas waited in the shadows, ready to strike.

Despite realizing they had been outmaneuvered, the Kaguya clan did not falter. If anything, the ambush seemed to ignite their fervor. With battle cries, they charged forward, determined to fight to the death.

The ensuing battle was brutal. The precision and ferocity of the Kaguya clan clashed against the raw power and deadly jutsus of Kirigakure's shinobi. Blood spilled freely, painting the streets red as cries of pain and fury filled the air.

From a distance, the scene resembled a gruesome battlefield from a bygone era, the moonlight casting an eerie glow on the carnage below.

From a vantage point on a rocky outcrop outside Kirigakure, Uchiha Fugaku observed the chaos through his Sharingan. Disguised as a wandering ninja, he had embedded himself within the terrain, his sharp gaze fixed on the battle.

"The Kaguya clan... so blinded by their arrogance," he murmured, his tone devoid of sympathy. He wasn't here to pass judgment; he had only one goal: to claim the bodies of fallen Kaguya clan members for his purposes.

The Kaguya clan's defeat was inevitable. Challenging an entire hidden village with the strength of a single clan was a doomed endeavor—a lesson the Uchiha clan had narrowly avoided in Konoha.

Suddenly, a faint hissing sound broke through the distant cries of battle. Two gray snakes slithered out from the shadows, their fangs bared as they lunged toward Fugaku's concealed position.

Fugaku reacted instantly. Withdrawing into the rock, he evaded the snakes' attack. Their fangs struck the stone, shattering upon impact. Emerging from the side, Fugaku drew his katana in one swift motion. The blade glinted under the moonlight as it sliced through the air.

Swish!

The snakes were severed in half, their lifeless bodies collapsing to the ground. Fugaku stepped back, his senses on high alert.

"It seems I'm not the only one interested in the Kaguya clan," he muttered, scanning the area. His suspicions were confirmed as a figure emerged from the shadows.

Orochimaru stepped forward, his long black hair framing his snake-like face. His golden eyes glimmered with malice, and a twisted smile played on his lips.

"Ah, how intriguing. Another predator stalking the battlefield," Orochimaru said, his voice dripping with amusement.

Fugaku narrowed his eyes. Orochimaru's sudden appearance didn't rattle him, but it certainly complicated matters.

"You shouldn't have attacked me," Fugaku said coldly, his grip tightening on his katana. "That was your first and last mistake."

Orochimaru chuckled, his expression unfazed. "Such confidence. Are you certain you can back it up?"

Fugaku's Sharingan spun into his Mangekyō form. Orochimaru's vision blurred for an instant, and the next thing he knew, Fugaku had vanished.

Within the confines of a Real Illusion, Fugaku appeared behind Orochimaru, his katana flashing toward the Sannin's waist.

"Space-time ninjutsu…" Orochimaru hissed, his snake-like eyes widening in shock. He twisted his body unnaturally, narrowly avoiding the blade's edge.

But Fugaku didn't relent. "Open the Sixth Gate: Gate of Joy!" (Rokumon: Keimon!)

A green aura enveloped Fugaku, amplifying his speed and strength. With blinding swiftness, he closed the distance between himself and Orochimaru. The next strike was faster, more precise.

Orochimaru couldn't dodge in time. Blood sprayed as Fugaku's blade tore through his side. Orochimaru staggered, his body splitting unnaturally. The two halves fell to the ground, only to slither back together moments later.

"Well done," Orochimaru said, his tone equal parts admiration and irritation. "You're more formidable than I expected."

Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan glinted ominously. "If you cross me again, there won't be anything left to regenerate."

Orochimaru's calculating gaze lingered on Fugaku for a moment. Though he longed to test this mysterious opponent further, he decided against it. With a hiss, his body dissolved into a swarm of snakes, disappearing into the shadows.

Fugaku sheathed his katana and returned his attention to the battlefield below. His gaze was cold and unyielding.

"Let the battle conclude," he murmured. "I'll claim what remains."
