I don't understand something, everything happening here never happened while I was playing the game. I was in the room thinking about this then I remembered Lucia and that Discover app.
"Ugh, why? How did I even end up in this mess?" I thought as I dialled the number, for a while no response came.
"Heyyyy Jade! How are you?" Lucia's voice rang through the phone. I wanted to punch her, how could I end up in a game I've only played for three weeks? I don't everything about it and I was only on Chapter 7 and yet.... nothing inside the game is working like how I played it. I sighed.
"What prank are you pulling on me? None of the events happening here is going like it did when I played the game." I said. Lucia laughed as if I'm a joke. Well to those gods I am but still.
"This isn't funny!" I fumed.
"Well it is." Lucia laughed before calming herself down. "Have you considered the fact that you're acting differently than when you played the game?" She asked. I thought for a while.
"Well.....no." I replied unsure of what she meant.
"In the game who's side of the room did you pick?" She asked.
"Luke's side." I replied.
"But here, you chose Jayden's side." She stated. "On the first day of school, who did you follow in the game." She continued.
"I followed Chris, but he said he was in third year while I would be in second year." I replied.
"But now you're in the game...." Lucia started saying but I cut into her sentence. "I never followed any of them and met Siniara."
"And while I was playing the game, I never offered to cook for them, but I just did yesterday. Which means... I'm changing the game's storyline with my actions." I started reasoning. "Thanks Lucia" I mumbled before cutting the call. It was 4:00 in the morning and I walked down to the kitchen and stared at the window.
"So, if I've changed the storyline..... Then I wouldn't know what will happen next, it would be like I'm still new to the game. The game has I think maybe so far 50 chapters, in each story there are one to four options to choose from." I thought aloud. I decided to make pancakes for the brothers, I took the eggs.
"So maybe the choices I'm making are from one of the other options, so. I don't know what will come next." I said while whisking the eggs.
"Who are you talking to?" I voice asked me, I turned to see Chris right behind me sleepy eyed in an oversized shirt that read: I'm hungry. He rubbed his eyes before taking his attention to the pink bowl with the mixture inside.
"What you making?" He asked me.
"Pancakes." I replied, his red eyes lit up like fireworks were inside them.
"Pancakes? Oh my god, I love pancakes! Lemme help!~". He excitingly said while holding up my hands. He made this puppy face as if he was begging me. It was sort of cute.....
"Ok.... You can help." I replied he started jumping up and down.
"Yay! No one can resist my puppy eyes!" He exclaimed on the top of his voice. He was voice was soo loud.
"Sssh. You'll wake the others up." I told him as I put my finger on his lips, he paused and looked at me before grinning.
"It's Saturday, those guys will sleep until maybe 6:00 or 8:00." He replied before gently tapping my nose. He started helping me with the pancakes, occasionally staring at me.
"Sooo ummmm.... Orange juice or tea?" He asked me, I looked at him confused.
"Huh?" I asked him.
"Will we make orange juice or tea?" He asked me while showing me a tea bag and an orange.
"Hmmmm. I guess tea would be nice" I replied, he nodded and got a kettle and six teacups, putting six teabags in each of them while heating the water. He went to the dinning room to arrange everything, well then I saw him folding some of the paper napkins into origamis. He looked really happy to be doing it.
"So ummmm Chris." I said looking at him he turned to me.
"Yea? Whaddup?" He asked me after arranging the table.
"Won't your parents eat breakfast?" I asked him, he paused for a while thinking about how to answer my question.
"They're ummmm busy. They eat out." He replied while approaching me. Then he pointed to the frying pan. "The pancake is burning." He said. I turned and saw smoke coming out, I immediately removed the pancake.
"Damnit. I guess that's one black pancake." I grumbled, Chris patted my head.
"No prob." He said before staring at me.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Sorry." He mumbled while scratching the back of his neck, "For you know the question I asked you on the way to school." He added. I even forgot about that.
" Oh it's no biggie." I replied.
"But, I made you feel awkward and..... I want to make it up to you." He replied. I tilted my head in confusion.
"How?" I asked him.
"Well there's this carnival that's happening downtown at dusk, and at the end of the carnival there are fireworks, like huge fireworks." He said nervously fidgeting with his fingers. "It's okay if you don't want to come." He added while looking down.
"What are you talking about? I would love to come." I replied while smiling.
"Hey, am I smelling pancakes? Christopher sleepily said as he descended from the stairs.
"Pancakes? Where?! I want pancakes." Kristen,Luke and Jayden all suddenly screamed while running down the stairs and pushing Christopher down. We hadn't even put the food on the table, they all turned to the kitchen and rushed in. Chris stood in front of them.
"You guys are real pigs. Did anyone tell you that?" He asked them playfully.
"Hey, who are you calling a pig?! I'm your older brother." Kristen snorted.
"By only maybe three seconds." Chris replied.
"Still!"
I looked at them before grabbing a tray of pancakes and setting it on the table. I cleared my throat and pointed to the table, they all rushed to the dinning hall and started eating. Then they stopped and looked at me.
"Is it bad?" I asked nervously.
"The weather today is nice...." Christopher said while avoiding my gaze, the other brothers also looked away...
"Guys?" I asked, no reply.
"Stop avoiding the question!!!"
