Chapter 2 - so much to know

My situation

Two months had passed, and I finally had a grasp of the situation. It was still hard to believe, but the truth was undeniable—I had been reincarnated as a baby. The two strange people who had been looming over me were, as far as I could tell, my parents in this new world.

This whole situation was a wild mix of amazing, hilarious, and utterly unbelievable. At first, the shock of my new reality had been overwhelming. I mean, who wouldn't be stunned if they suddenly found themselves as a newborn, starting life all over again?

To be honest, it felt like a dream come true. In my previous life, I had always fantasized about being reincarnated, imagining myself as a king or some powerful figure in a fantasy world. It's the kind of dream that every novel and manhwa lover secretly harbors, right? And now, here I was, living that very dream—only in the most unexpected way possible

At first, I assumed this would be just like all those other reincarnation stories—where the main character ends up in a fantasy world filled with mana, magic, and all that jazz. You know, where people live in quaint little cottages in some underdeveloped medieval setting. I was all geared up for that, thinking, Okay, this is my life now—babyhood, old-timey villages, the works.

But wow, was I in for a surprise! This place was way beyond anything I could have imagined. It was like someone took modern technology, threw in some old-school charm, sprinkled a bit of magic on top, and then hit blend.

For instance, they have cars here, but they look like they drove straight out of the 19th or 20th century. And the houses? Total throwback to olden times, with rustic designs and all. But then, bam! You walk inside, and there's a refrigerator humming away in the corner, as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

It's like they took modern tech, slapped it into a fantasy world, and said, Let's make this work. And here's the kicker—the cars don't run on electricity or petrol. Nope, they run on magic stones. Yeah, you heard me right—magic stones! Imagine cruising around in what looks like a vintage car powered by pure magic. It's like living in a steampunk fantasy with a dash of modern convenience. It's hilarious and mind-blowing all at once!

It's not like I can just waltz out of the house on my own. My tiny little legs are way too weak and wobbly to even let me stand, let alone walk or explore. I'm just too small, way too much of a baby for any of that. So, I'm stuck waiting for my mother to take me out. Oh, by the way, I should mention—my mother's name is Samantha, and my father's name is Ellen.

Honestly, being cooped up in this baby bed is so boring. I'm itching to grow up quickly and start learning some magic like I've seen my parents using around the house. It looks so cool, and I'm dying to try it out for myself. But alas, the cruel reality is that I'm still just a helpless little baby.

I can't even explore the outside world! Every time I think about it, I feel like screaming, "Come on, world, I'm ready!" But then I remember—nope, I'm not. I'm just a tiny, drooling bundle of cuteness. So, here I am, waiting for the day when I can finally take my first steps, both literally and magically. Until then, I guess I'll just keep staring at the ceiling, dreaming of all the adventures that await me... once I'm finally allowed out of this crib!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the language they speak here—it's not just some mysterious, ancient tongue or anything like that. Nope, it's more like someone took a bunch of languages, tossed them in a blender, and hit puree. Seriously, it's a wild mix! One minute it sounds like they're speaking Italian, then suddenly there's a dash of German, a sprinkle of Hindi, a splash of English, and even some Korean thrown in for good measure.

The result? It sounds hilarious! Imagine trying to follow a conversation where one sentence starts with "Ciao," slips into "Guten Tag," and ends with "Annyeong." It's like everyone here is a multilingual comedian, and I'm the only one not in on the joke. It's so absurd that I can't help but laugh—well, mentally, since I'm still a baby and all I can actually do is gurgle. But seriously, it's like living in the ultimate language mashup!

The days passed in a monotonous blur—sleep, eat, sleep, eat, repeat. My life had become an endless cycle of lying in bed, drifting in and out of naps, and occasionally being fed. Exciting, right? Meanwhile, my parents, Samantha and Ellen, would chat away, but always just outside my room, so I never caught much of what they were saying. Not that I had much else to do, but eavesdropping wasn't very fruitful.

Time skip

But as with every good story, there was a twist. Two years—yes, two long years—finally passed, and I could finally do a few basic things. I could stand, walk a bit, and even manage some simple tasks. I was basically a pro at toddling around and grabbing anything within reach. Things were finally starting to look up!

Then, one day, as I was peacefully napping in my baby bed, something unexpected happened. Out of nowhere, an intense pain hit me like a ton of bricks. I cried uncontrollably, my tiny lungs working overtime. And just as suddenly as the pain came, everything went black.

Great, I thought, just when I was starting to get the hang of this whole being-a-kid thing, the universe decides to throw me another curveball.

When I opened my eyes, everything was enveloped in darkness. But then, out of the void, a sudden flash erupted in front of me. It was like a movie, but not just any movie—a 360-degree spectacle. I found myself at the center of this panoramic display, with the Earth floating below me, like a tiny marble suspended in space.

The scene started to zoom in automatically, as if by magic, drawing me closer to the surface. The once-opaque view sharpened into clarity, and I could see details emerging. It was as if I was witnessing a story unfold right before my eyes, each frame shifting seamlessly into the next.

The sensation was surreal, like I was both an observer and a participant in this cinematic journey. The darkness melted away, replaced by a vibrant tapestry of events and characters that seemed to weave a tale just for me. It was disorienting yet fascinating, a strange blend of reality and fantasy unfolding in a way that only a dream—or perhaps something even stranger—could provide

The history of the destruction

In the year 2980, Earth had become a teeming, suffocating hive of humanity, with a staggering population of 211 trillion. The planet was overwhelmed with pollution, the air thick and nearly unbreathable, and living space was a luxury few could afford. The world teetered on the brink of collapse, facing an unprecedented crisis.

Then, in a twist of fate, a catastrophic experiment went horribly wrong. A colossal explosion erupted, decimating 90% of the human population in an instant. The blast was so immense that it didn't just end lives—it fundamentally altered the fabric of reality itself.

As the dust settled, a surreal transformation began. Earth didn't just suffer a cataclysm; it was reshaped entirely. The explosion had caused different worlds to merge, intertwining Earth with parallel dimensions and realms of existence previously unknown to humankind. The planet, once solely the domain of humans, now hosted a bizarre and wondrous array of species and entities from these newly fused realities

The sky was streaked with colors never before seen, and creatures that defied human imagination roamed freely. What was once familiar now felt alien, and humanity was left to grapple with a world where the boundaries of reality had blurred, and the definition of life itself had expanded into the fantastical and unknown.

Following the great explosion and the merging of worlds, four new human-like species emerged on the transformed Earth:

Elves

Mermaids (who could grow legs when out of water)

Shapeshifters

Fairies (human-sized with angel-like wings)

The great explosion, though not the cause of conflict, had set the stage for a 200-year-long struggle among the newly emerged species. Elves, mermaids, shapeshifters, and fairies fought relentlessly for dominance, leading to a dramatic reduction in their populations as the endless conflict ravaged their numbers.

Eventually, a peace agreement was reached. The Earth, now divided into five continents following the explosion, was allocated to each species, allowing them to govern their own territories. Each continent became a unique realm, reflecting the characteristics and needs of its inhabitants

However, the conflicts were not limited to the species themselves. The merging of worlds had also introduced magical beasts, which posed further threats and challenges to the inhabitants of the Earth. These creatures added another layer of complexity to the fragile peace, as the species now had to navigate not only their internal struggles but also the dangers posed by these new, formidable beings

The ongoing conflicts and threats from magical beasts made it clear that the species needed a new means of defense and empowerment. The explosion that had merged worlds had also given rise to a revolutionary power system known as "Noor"

Noor

As I watched these events unfold before me, it felt like I was witnessing a grand, cinematic spectacle. The scenes played out with vivid detail, capturing the intense conflicts, the rise of Noor, and the intricate dynamics of the new world. I was both surprised and astonished, my fascination growing with each passing moment.

It was incredible to see how this world, so dramatically transformed, once bore a resemblance to our own. The realization that it had evolved from a familiar state into this fantastical reality filled me with awe. The parallels and differences between our world and this new one were both striking and mesmerizing, offering a profound insight into the nature of change and adaptation.

Now it was time when they explain about noor
