Night had fallen over the city of "Elys," with the silvery beams of the moon weaving through the dark forests and narrow alleys. The wind carried a chill that hinted at an impending storm, while the leaves of the trees rustled softly, moving to the rhythm of an ancient melody.
In the heart of the city, a tall young man stood at the edge of a shimmering river. "Leon" was in his twenties, with sharp features and green eyes that reflected the moonlight. He wore a long black coat that obscured half of his face, while his right hand gripped a silver dagger, its edge glinting in the moon's light.
"Elys" was a city steeped in legends and myths, where tales of ancient beasts and nocturnal creatures were told. But Leon did not believe in such superstitions—at least, not until that night.
As he stood there, lost in thought, he heard a faint voice whisper his name. He turned quickly, but no one was there. Silence returned, but then the voice came again, louder and clearer this time. "Leon..."
His eyes widened as a strange coldness spread through his body, as if the darkness itself was creeping into his heart. From between the trees emerged a girl in a long white gown, with jet-black hair cascading down her shoulders. Her skin was pale, and her large eyes stared at him unblinkingly.
"Who are you?" Leon asked, trying to hide his unease.
"I am the Moon's Shadow," she replied in a voice like a whispering breeze, "and I have come to warn you."
Leon felt his hands tremble slightly, but he steadied himself and asked again, "Warn me about what?"
"About what lurks in the shadows," she said, stepping closer, "The darkness is not what you think, Leon. There are things that move in the depths of the night, things you can only see when the moon is full."
Leon stood rooted to the spot, torn between fear and curiosity. "What must I do?" he finally asked.
The girl smiled a cryptic smile and said, "You must find the light before the darkness finds you. Or you will become part of it."
Then, she began to fade away, as if she had never been there, leaving Leon alone, surrounded by shadows and the faint whispers of his name echoing from afar.
