The next night, Trevor, Tracy, and Lucius stood in the heart of the city, cloaked by darkness and surrounded by the shadows of towering buildings. The quiet hum of the vampire kingdom never truly ceased, but tonight, it felt different. There was an energy in the air—an unspoken tension that put everyone on edge.
"We need a plan," Tracy said, her eyes scanning their surroundings. "Finding two more amulets without attracting more attention will be difficult."
Lucius stepped forward, his face grim. "I know where one of the amulets is located. The Guardian of Shadows protects it, deep within the Necropolis, an ancient city beneath our own. It's a treacherous place, filled with traps and wraiths. But I've been there before. If anyone can get us in, it's me."
Trevor narrowed his eyes. "And what about the second amulet?"
Lucius hesitated. "The second one is more… complicated. It's rumored to be in the possession of a human faction—a secret organization that knows more about vampires than they should. They've kept it hidden from us for centuries."
Tracy raised an eyebrow. "Humans? How would they know about something like this?"
"Because they've been studying us," Lucius explained. "This group, known as the Order of Aether, has been collecting artifacts and knowledge about the Blood Moon for generations. They're dangerous, but they might also hold the key to unlocking the curse."
Trevor clenched his fists. The thought of dealing with humans who knew about their kind made his skin crawl, but they didn't have a choice. If they wanted to break the curse, they needed the amulets.
"So, we split up?" Trevor asked, looking between Tracy and Lucius.
Lucius nodded. "I'll take you two into the Necropolis to retrieve the first amulet. Once we have it, we'll make our move against the Order of Aether."
Trevor felt a wave of unease. "We'll be walking into enemy territory on both fronts. We'll need more allies."
"We have some time," Tracy said, her voice thoughtful. "We can gather a few trusted individuals. But we need to move quickly. The closer we get to the next Blood Moon, the more dangerous it becomes."
Lucius smirked. "Danger is part of the job. But I agree. Let's gather our forces and strike when the time is right."
