Chapter 8 - Training Intensifies

The following day, the students gathered at the training grounds once again, eager and ready for another day of rigorous training. The morning air was crisp, and a sense of anticipation filled the atmosphere as they awaited their instructor's arrival.

Aiko appeared promptly, her presence commanding immediate attention. "Good morning, everyone," she greeted. "Today, we'll be focusing on hand-to-hand combat. As hunters, you must be proficient in close-quarter combat, as there will be times when you cannot rely on your weapons or chakra."

She demonstrated a series of basic moves, explaining the importance of agility, strength, and technique. "Pair up and practice these moves. Remember, control and precision are key."

The students paired off, practicing punches, kicks, and defensive maneuvers. Aiko moved among them, correcting their form and offering advice. Satoshi and Ren sparred intensely, their movements quick and deliberate. Hana and Yuki focused on technique, ensuring each strike was precise. Akira and Taro exchanged powerful blows, while Emi and Rina demonstrated fluidity and grace in their movements.

After an hour of sparring, Aiko called them to attention. "You're all making good progress. Now, we'll move on to weapon training. You need to be familiar with all types of weapons, even if you have a preferred choice. Understanding the strengths and limitations of each weapon is crucial."

She led them to the weapon racks and had them pick up different weapons, one at a time. "Practice the basics with each weapon. Learn how to wield them effectively, even if they're not your primary choice."

The students spent the next few hours practicing with swords, spears, bows, throwing knives, and maces. Aiko observed them closely, ensuring they understood the fundamentals of each weapon. She corrected their stances, demonstrated techniques, and emphasized the importance of adapting to different combat situations.

Once they had a good grasp of each weapon, Aiko instructed them to pick up their weapon of choice. The training intensified as they focused on mastering their preferred weapons. Satoshi honed his skills with the spear, Hana's throwing knives flew with deadly accuracy, Akira wielded his mace with brute force, and Yuki's arrows found their marks with ease. Ren's dual swords moved in perfect harmony, Emi's katana strikes were swift and precise, Taro's chain whip danced with lethal grace, and Rina's staff strikes were both powerful and controlled.

As the sun began to set, Aiko gathered the students around her. "Killing demons is a dangerous task," she said, her tone serious. "You must take it very seriously. Demons are stronger than humans and possess far greater stamina. The longer a battle lasts, the more dangerous it becomes. Your goal should always be to end the fight as quickly as possible, preferably with one strike. Hesitation can be fatal."

She looked each student in the eye, ensuring they understood the gravity of her words. "Remember, your training is not just about mastering skills and weapons. It's about survival and protecting humanity from the demonic threat. Be vigilant, be decisive, and never underestimate your enemy. killing demons is very dangerous and should be taken seriously, meaning they shouldn't make the battle long and kill the demons as soon as possible or even with one strike because demons are stronger than humans and have far greater stamina."

The students nodded solemnly, the weight of their responsibility sinking in. They had chosen a path fraught with danger, but they were determined to rise to the challenge.

As they dispersed for the evening, Aiko watched them with a sense of pride and hope. They had a long way to go, but she knew they had the potential to become formidable demon hunters. The future of the guild depended on their dedication and their ability to face the darkness with courage and skill.
