Sun Hao remembered that at the time, he was observing the progress of the work on the high-rise building when a coworker next to him suddenly got entangled by a rope and subsequently lost his balance, plummeting down from the twelfth floor.
What Sun Hao himself hadn't expected was that he would rush forward without hesitation at that moment, grabbing the rope behind his coworker in an attempt to pull him back up.
The result of this action was that the great force nearly dragged Sun Hao down the building as well.
Fortunately, in the end, his luck was good enough; his right leg got caught in a crevice, otherwise, Sun Hao might have joined his coworker on the way to Yellow Springs right then and there.
"Although I don't understand why I did that at the time, if I had to choose again, I might still go and save him. Ultimately, at the moment when someone really needed saving, I didn't think too much—it might just be a subconscious reaction," he said.
