Zhang Xiaoman twirled the Mountain and River Sword in his hand, forming a beautiful flourish, then strode forward toward the monster not too far away.
On the ground, the Corpse Demon, though knocked down from the sixth floor, hadn't died. It twisted its body, struggled, and stood up again; however, one of its arms was in a distorted position, apparently broken from the fall.
But the anatomical structure of such monsters was clearly different from that of humans. Even though its arm was severely deformed, it could still move.
A series of "crackling and crunching" sounds later, the Corpse Demon's arm, squirming and twisting, had miraculously returned to its original form.
But Zhang Xiaoman didn't have the habit of waiting for his opponent to catch their breath. He raised his sword and swiftly slashed at the monster.
"Buzz!!"
With a huge buzzing of the sword, everyone only saw a blur before the Corpse Demon's recently repaired arm was severed and sent flying away.
