Kando yelled loudly, taking the lead in pulling the trigger.

The rest of them roared as well, as if channeling the emotions they had been suppressing into the bullets they fired.
The bullets tore through the monster's wounds and into its body, ammunition pouring out as if it was free, the flames from the muzzles seeming to light up the dark night.
Finally, with an unwilling shriek, the giant insect could no longer support its body and collapsed thunderously.
"Huff, huff, huff~"
Everyone started gasping for breath, looking at the mess on the ground and feeling incredibly conflicted inside.
John used a bandage to dress his own wound. Thankfully, the monster had not hit his main artery, which allowed him to escape with his life.
"Everyone, check your ammunition, assist the injured, we're going up the trees!"
He issued the latest order, which puzzled some people.
"Commander, it's so dangerous here, aren't we leaving?"
