Natasha's POV:
When I woke up in the morning, for the first time since I became a witch, I felt joy. I looked around and found my 2 teachers next to me.
Their sleeping faces filled me with a deep, warm feeling. This warm feeling remained, but it was tainted by something more bitter.
"My teachers might disappear one day…"
Considering humanity's stance against witches, it wouldn't be strange if something bad happened one day.
"Just like what happened with my Teacher Mia."
Looking at the sleeping faces of my teachers, I made a decision. I may not be able to control what happens in the world, nor can I avoid the resentment of humans… but this time…
"I will not stand idly by while my loved ones are hurt."
Unlike my powerless self when my parents were killed and my ignorant self when my teacher Mia was killed, this time I had awareness of the situation and the power to back it up.
- It is time to put my teachers' training to the test.
I quietly get out of bed while making sure not to wake them up. I leave the room and head towards the door that leads outside, I put my hand on the knob and open the door to be greeted by the Sunrose. I smile to myself as I see that this place has not changed since the day I buried my father. I walk out the door and a few meters away I find 2 large rocks. When I reach my Father's grave, I lovingly touch the stone that I placed as a tombstone while playing with the texture of the stone.
- In order to protect my loved ones, this time I will spread out… I will spread my roots as deep as necessary. Even if I reach the abyss while doing so.
I look up at the sky with determination as I fix my hair back as it dances with the wind.
