Two people were going. There was a way to go to another village from the river bank. There was a very big night jasmine tree on the river bank. Every leaf of which had flowers.
And the fragrance of the flowers of that tree was spread in the area around the river in such a way that it seemed as if the fragrance was made for that place only.
One boy said to the other boy, "Yaar, can't you smell this fragrance?" Then the other boy said "Yes friend, this smells very nice"
Then he said "Come on friend let's go in the direction of this smell and see where is it coming from?"
Then the first boy also agreed and said "Yes friend let's go" and they both started walking in the direction of that smell.
Slowly they both reached the night queen tree. And what they saw was enough to scare them.
They saw "that snakes were hanging on every branch of that tree" and they both got scared. And the first boy said to the second one "Let's run away from here" then the second one also agreed and both started leaving. Just then a voice came from that tree " Come straight to me" and that voice started laughing. A sadhu was sitting on the river bank.
The sadhu said " Children, go back to where you came from". There was a Kadam tree near the sadhu. A cuckoo was sitting there.
The cuckoo started laughing and singing " You also come, you also go" The parrot sitting there also started singing " Take the name of Ram and run away from here. Take the name of Ram and run away from here".
Then a crow came there and said " If you go away, I will miss you a lot. If you go away, I will miss you a lot".
Ultimately, what a person wants happens. That happens. God only opens the paths in front of us. It is we who decide which path we should choose.
Both of them were listening to the voices continuously. They were confused and were also scared as to what to do, what not to do, whether to go ahead or back. One boy said to the other boy again, "Let's go home".
Just then, sounds of horrific laughter started coming from that night queen tree. Sounds started echoing from all sides. As if the ears would burst! Along with such sounds, a light came there! Along with the light, a woman came.
And she started taking both the boys with her from there! And that woman and those two boys got lost somewhere in that light. After a few days, there was greenery all around in the rainy season. Cowherds living in the nearby villages used to come to graze their cows. One's name was Bhola.
He was an orphan and the other's name was Madan Lal. Madan's father had passed away in his childhood. He had a sister who was married off. Madan and his mother both lived alone in the house.
The third Govind was the only son of his mother. His mother died due to illness.
His father married again. His step mother had four daughters. Govind was of a simple nature. Hariyram was married. He had two children and he was making a living on his own. Dhaniram had five brothers.
He was the youngest among them. All five were married. His two sisters were also married. Dhaniram's family was very big.
His family included uncle, aunt, maternal uncle, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, mother and father.
Govind said "Let's sit under this tree, till then our cow will also graze" then Hariya said it is afternoon, let's eat bread" Then Dhani Ram said "Yes let's eat food" then everyone agreed to eat food and started eating... then a bird came flying there... and sat on the tree... The bird started humming a song again "You are so good, you are so truthful, you come to this side... I will take you to that side, you are so good, you are so truthful, you come to this side... Just then a wild dog came running towards them. Just then Bhola ran back towards them and sat there.
The dog was so wild! It was scary just looking at it! The dog had big red eyes and big ears! It was coming towards them! Dhaniram asked "What is this?" Bhola started shivering with fear! And Dhaniram picked up a stick! Bhola said "Hey brother, beat him up, beat him up and chase him away..."
Then Govind said "Hey, shut up you coward" The dog came close and started staring at them all!
Then Bhola said "Look, he is staring at me, he has come to eat me"

Madan went to the south! Hariya and Govind went to the west! And Dhaniram went to the north to look for the cows! Madan Lal went to the river while searching.
