Needless to say, Lord Bael's assumption was wrong.
Although the news did reach the Angels and Fallen Angel, neither side truly wanted to restart another war.
Although having the Zagan's back in the game might be a bit troubling for the other Factions, so long as there's no actual conflict, there will be no reasons to assassinate Meelis.
So, all that Lord Bael and his allies managed to accomplish was promote Meelis' identity throughout the other Mythological Factions.
Of course, the news did reach the other factions, but the news wasn't as important for most factions, since they all had their own methods of resource production.
Among the many factions, the Norse Mythology also received the news, and although it was also treated as a minor affair, one person in the Norse faction did pay attention to the news in a more serious manner.

-Scene Change-
(FLASHBACK)
It had been a few days since Clone Meelis had been summoned to work as the Original's spy.
While he normally would've made a fuzz about being handed such a troubling and long term job, he quickly got used to it as the days passed by.
Using a normal Hypnosis spell that devils use on humans, Clone Meelis made himself at home in Kuoh and blended in as much as possible among the humans to hide himself from the exorcists and also from Cleria's servants.
Although he had no issues with Cleria or her servants, its better to avoid the issue altogether rather than have them question him on his motives for staying long term in Kuoh.
Since staying in a human's residence, Clone Meelis has been acting his role as the Human's distant relative's little cousin.
Why you ask? Because the person's he wants and needs to meet is Odin, the leader of the Norse Mythological Faction, who for some reason, against all odds, decided to corrupt young kids and teach them the wonders of Boobs, in a town under the leadership of devils…..
Clone Meelis was willing to bet his life that the reason for this, aside from the canonical explanation in the series, was of course, the one and only plot armor.
Issei Hyoudou, the Red Dragon Emperor, otherwise known as the Oppai Dragon, was taught (Corrupted) by Odin that Boobs are the truth of the world and led him down the path of using Boob Power ups to defeat his enemies.
If Clone Meelis wasn't so familiar with the DxD series, he'd seriously question the sanity of whoever thought of a plot like this. Luckily for him, despite the absurdity of it, the actual world of DxD is pretty good much more defined than just Boobs.
'Only in DxD could an ancient god travel to a devil-occupied town to corrupt a teenager with cosmic insights into… Boobs.' He thought dryly.
Of course, Clone Meelis wasn't entirely above appreciating the quirks of this world. Still, he felt a nagging need to witness Odin's questionable "lesson" firsthand, to see how Issei became so Legendary.
As Clone Meelis complained about the logic of DxD in his head, he made his way to the park, where the fateful encounter supposedly happened.
When Clone Meelis arrived at the park, he noticed a familiar figure seated on a bench nearby. A gray-bearded man dressed like the usual neighborhood grandpa, with a pointed hat, that did not fit with his friendly grandpa image, and a mischievous smile, sat next to a kid with messy brown hair who was hanging on to his every word. That must be Odin himself, and judging by the rapt look on Issei's face, it seemed the Norse deity had wasted no time in beginning his unusual lesson. Clone Meelis could feel the absurdity radiating from the scene but knew it would likely prove pivotal to future of the DxD Universe, at least for now.
Meelis made no effort to hide himself, he was of course going to confront a god, a Nordic God, he wouldn't be so foolish as to try and disguise himself as it'd likely fail, and as much as Meelis' would like to 'convince' him through other methods, he was much more wary of an old God compared to his usual dealings with Devils. Although he had some faith in his skills, he didn't want to do it only to fail and rouse Odin's anger.
So, the plan was to be straightforward and somehow convince the God King to help him out.
As Clone Meelis approached the bench, he kept his posture open and his expression polite, masking his amusement at the sight before him. Odin glanced up, his one eye gleaming with recognition and an almost lazy curiosity. Next to him, Issei didn't notice Meelis at first, still caught up in Odin's grandiose, albeit questionable, tales of the "sacred power of boobs."
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Odin said with a grin, his voice loud and jovial. "A devil lurking around while I educate my new disciple on the mysteries of the world?"
Issei blinked, looking between Odin and Meelis, trying to make sense of it all. "Uh… do you two know each other or something?" he asked, clearly bewildered. "Wait, did you just say 'devil'?"
Odin chuckled, clapping Issei on the shoulder as if he'd just told a great joke. "Just a figure of speech, boy! Don't get so caught up on the details," he said, his eyes twinkling with amusement. But his tone turned a bit sharper when he looked back to Meelis. "Though, I have to say, this is an unexpected surprise, young Devil. What brings you here?"
"Greetings," Clone Meelis said, nodding first to Issei, then more formally to Odin. "I assume you are Odin, the great All-Father of the Norse."
Odin raised a curious brow and gave a slight chuckle. "And you would be…?"
"Meelis, of the Zagan lineage," Clone Meelis said evenly. "I've come here today with a rather unique request."
At this, Odin's eyes sharpened with interest. "A Zagan, you say? Quite the house, though I can't say I've had the pleasure of meeting many of your kind in recent years."
Issei blinked, his confusion deepening. "Uh, Zagan? What are you guys talking about?" He looked from one to the other, clearly lost.
Meelis glanced at Issei, offering a small, reassuring smile. "Just a bit of family history, you could say."
Odin chuckled, gesturing for Meelis to sit. "Well, young Zagan, what exactly brings you to my domain? It's rare for one of your kind to seek out a Norse god."
Meelis took the invitation, seating himself across from the two. "I'd like to propose a deal, Odin. I have come to request a branch of Yggdrasil. Such a resource would be invaluable in fortifying my plans as I rise within the underworld."
Odin's face held a careful neutrality, though his interest was clear. "A branch of Yggdrasil is no mere trinket. It's connected to the very life force of our realm. I'd need to know exactly why you think yourself worthy of it."
Issei, overhearing this, tilted his head. "Wait, like…a tree branch? What's so special about that?"
Odin let out a low chuckle, though he didn't clarify for Issei. Instead, he leaned forward, studying Meelis carefully. "Tell me, what would you offer in return for something as precious as Yggdrasil's essence?"
Meelis met Odin's gaze without hesitation. "I would offer a strategic alliance, both for you and for the Norse faction. We may be different mythologies, but a resource such as that would allow me to create something the underworld has not yet seen—a secure foothold of mutual benefit."
Odin raised his brows, intrigued by the offer. "Ambitious words, young Zagan. It's been some time since someone requested an alliance of this sort. But alliances, especially with young devils, can be…well, they're not without risks." His eyes glimmered with both amusement and challenge.
While Issei looked between them, still utterly baffled, Odin tapped his chin, clearly mulling over the proposal. "Very well, Meelis. I may consider your offer. But I'll need proof of your intentions and strength. Show me that your house can live up to its name. If you're truly capable, I may just see the value in parting with such a rare artifact."
Meelis nodded, meeting Odin's gaze with a respectful but unwavering determination. "Proof of intentions and strength? I expected no less from the All-Father."
Odin chuckled, clearly entertained. "Good answer, young Zagan. But be warned—such proof will require more than mere words. We'll arrange for a suitable test. If you pass, we'll talk further about Yggdrasil."
Issei, still following the conversation as best as he could, scratched his head, clearly mystified. "So… are you guys, like, superheroes or something?"
Meelis stifled a laugh. "Something like that," he said, casting a quick glance toward Odin, who simply winked in response.
Odin then turned back to Issei with a grin. "Fear not, young man. You'll understand in due time. But remember—there's more to life than what you see before you." He gave a pointed nod, as if sharing an inside joke, though Issei could only nod slowly, still utterly bewildered.
With their discussion reaching its temporary conclusion, Clone Meelis rose to leave. "Until next time, All-Father. I'll be ready."
Odin offered a small nod of approval, watching him with an amused expression. "We shall see, young Zagan. We shall see."
As Meelis walked away, he couldn't help but smirk to himself. The first step of his plan had been set into motion, and Odin seemed interested enough to entertain his request. Although it is beneficial for him that Odin did consider his request, somehow, it also made Meelis think that the situation was really absurd, the Leader of a Faction, giving away his Faction's arguably most valuable item, based on a mere deal with a kid. Even more so considering that Meelis did nothing to sway Odin's opinion, which made him wonder just what did Odin see in himself.
Either way, that did not matter to him, the most important part is that Odin did give him a chance.
Now, it was only a matter of passing the test and proving that his ambitions were as worthy as his words.
