"Then what about the other person? Isn't that only nine people?" Uchiha Ryuuka couldn't contain his curiosity and asked.
"The other person is, of course, the judge. And Ryuuka, don't interrupt my explanation."
"I will prepare nine cards representing each identity. When the game starts, everyone draws a card to represent their identity and then..."
As Uchiha Toshiro's long explanation continued, a group of kids around him would nod sometimes, shake their heads other times, and occasionally show an expression of sudden realization.
"Did everyone understand the game rules?"
"Toshiro, stop asking. Let's just start a round." Uchiha Ryuuka impatiently suggested.
After listening to Uchiha Toshiro's long discourse, he couldn't help but feel a bit dizzy. In his view, game rules were too complicated! It was better to try it out first.
On the side, Uchiha En, Uchiha Asuka, and Uchiha Tarou also nodded, agreeing with Ryuuka's suggestion. Some of the more perceptive kids even felt that the game seemed quite fun.
"Alright, let's try a round first. Listen up: the player who draws the 'A' card is a werewolf, the 'K' is the prophet, the 'Q' is the witch, the 'J' is the hunter, and the '10' is a common villager. Did everyone understand?"
While speaking, Uchiha Toshiro gathered everyone in a circle. He picked out nine cards from the deck to represent various identities and distributed them to everyone. Once everyone confirmed their identity, the game began.
"Everyone remember your identity and follow my lead. Now it's night time, everyone close your eyes."
"Kazuku, you idiot, why aren't you closing your eyes yet?" One slightly clueless child looked at Uchiha Toshiro in confusion and quickly shut his eyes upon realizing his mistake.
"Alright! Werewolves, open your eyes. Identify your partners and decide who you want to kill tonight." Under Uchiha Toshiro's direction, the group of Uchiha kids began playing this globally popular game.
"Kazuku, don't reveal that you're a werewolf! You're out!"
"What should be said during speaking turns? State your position, and deduce who you think is good or bad."
"The witch's poison can only be used once per game!"
"Yes, werewolves can self-destruct, and if they do, the game skips directly to night."
Uchiha Toshiro pointed out their mistakes and repeated the game rules, guiding them on how to speak and analyze the game situation.
After about three rounds, the kids slowly began to grasp the feel of playing Werewolf. Initially, their statements were straightforward like "I'm a werewolf," "What should I say?" "Asuka is a werewolf," but they gradually moved towards the game's deeper strategies. Although their speaking skills were still quite naive, Uchiha Toshiro believed that with time, they would all get better.
"Amazing, really amazing, Toshiro! How did you come up with such a fun game?" Uchiha Ryuuka exclaimed, his face flushed with excitement, while the surrounding kids nodded in agreement and praised Toshiro.
"Haha, it's nothing special." Uchiha Toshiro laughed and brushed off the compliment modestly. He was a bit relieved as well. When he introduced the game, he wondered if four-year-olds could handle it. After some trial and error, he had to admit the early maturity of ninja world children; after just a few rounds, they were playing quite well.
"Alright, it's night time. Everyone close your eyes. Werewolves, open your eyes and choose your victim..."
Ignoring the eliminated Uchiha En, judge Uchiha Toshiro calmly gave instructions.
As they became more familiar with the game's rules and mechanics, their enthusiasm grew.
"En, you're too cunning!"
"Kazuku, you idiot, I'm obviously a good person!"
"Asuka, so you're the werewolf!"
In nature, females tend to be more cunning than males, and this was no exception in the game. Seeing En, Asuka, and Sai win repeatedly, Uchiha Toshiro sighed inwardly.
With their shouts and excitement, the shadows from the trees gradually shifted eastward, and the shadows underfoot grew longer, marking the passage of time...
As they played, a slowly growing circle of similarly aged kids gathered around them, watching in amazement and curiosity. Occasionally, an adult would pass by, take a curious glance at what the kids were doing, and move on.
Happy times always fly by. As the sun slanted westward, the sunset casting its light on the engrossed kids who had lost themselves in the game.
"Ryuuka, it's time to go home! It's dinner time..."
"Mom! Just a bit longer, ten more minutes. This round will be over in ten minutes."
"Ah! Let go! Let go! Mom, my ear is going to fall off!" The young mother, in her impatience, didn't wait for her son to finish the game and dragged him home by the ear.
Knowing his mother's temper, Uchiha Ryuuka didn't struggle much, ignoring his reddening ear. He hastily handed his identity card to a watching friend and followed his mother home, visibly downcast, with an air of reluctant resignation.
The friend, not wasting any time, excitedly joined the game, quickly taking on the role.
In less than twenty minutes, parents came one by one to fetch their reluctant kids. Each child, in turn, handed over their identity card to a nearby friend and followed their parents home with a sense of resigned unwillingness.
When the last villager was killed, the game concluded. Uchiha Toshiro clapped his hands and said, "Alright, it's getting late. We'll stop here for today. I believe everyone has some understanding of the game rules now. See you all tomorrow!"
