After she was done, Cherry collapsed onto the floor, utterly spent. Jen handed her a cold towel and a chilled water bottle.
"Bravo, Cherry! You powered through!" Jen cheered with encouragement.
Cherry tilted her head and gulped down the water like it was liquid gold, the coldness soothing her dry, scratchy throat. She dabbed at her sweaty face with the towel, her breathing still uneven.
"Alright, time to cool down," Jen announced, scrolling through her phone to cue some calming music.
Jen moved with practiced ease, guiding Cherry through a series of slow, deliberate stretches. "Lengthen your spine, release those shoulders, and breathe deep, chica."
Cherry followed along, feeling her tight muscles loosen, her arms and legs unfolding like petals in the sun.
"Let all that tension melt away," Jen murmured, her hands lightly correcting Cherry's posture as they stretched.
