Qing Zhu frowned and replied, "Of course we have it; our technicians from the Realm-Keeping Commission have already cracked his jade divination tablet."
"However, before we could glean much useful information, the tablet self-destructed."
"That's why we wished to consult with you, Mr. Su, hoping for your guidance."
Following Qing Zhu's signal, a technician promptly approached and handed over a charred mobile device.
Feeling slightly exasperated, Su Jinyan exclaimed, "I'm not f*cking omnipotent—why come to me after the jade divination tablet has already self-destructed?"
"What about the chip? Is the jade divination tablet's chip intact?"
"The technician responded, "Yes, yes, we managed to salvage the chip just in time."
Su Jinyan sighed in relief, "That's good."
"But," continued the technician, "the data and contacts stored on the jade divination chip were irretrievably damaged."
"Hmm?" Su Jinyan raised an eyebrow.
"However, we can potentially recover some of the lost information through advanced techniques."
"So, have you successfully recovered any useful data?" Su Jinyan asked.
The technician looked smugly satisfied. "Not yet, of course."
Enraged, Su Jinyan slammed his hand on the table. "What the hell are you so smug about then!"
"Fortunately, we've now perfected the simulation of the jade divination chip's signal frequency," the technician added hastily.
"And what use is that?" Su Jinyan demanded.
"The technician replied, "Now you can use it to send texts and make calls."
Su Jinyan's expression remained impassive. "Chief Dahao, let's dismiss the entire Technology Department."
"F*cking hell! If they had just one useful person, we wouldn't be stuck with nothing at all."
The Chief of the Realm-Keeping Commission smiled apologetically. "Sir, this matter is quite challenging..."
"Challenging?" Su Jinyan said sternly. "Then I'll have General Jing Yuan relieve you of your duties."
Dahao's face paled slightly. "I'll immediately fire everyone in the Technology Department!"
One technician rushed forward, clinging to Dahao's leg and wailing miserably.
"No, sir, if fired, we'll starve to death."
Dahao flashed a warm smile. "Don't worry; as long as I'm here, you won't go hungry."
The technician sighed in relief. "Have you reconsidered the layoffs?"
Dahao feigned unfastening his belt buckle. "No, what I meant is, I can feed you myself."
The technician stared, bewildered.
Su Jinyan also looked on, taken aback.
After this brief interlude, Su Jinyan had already formed a plan. Unfortunately, despite possessing the ability for Mind Control, he couldn't employ it openly before these people.
Strictly speaking, using Mind Control violated the third of Xianzhou's Ten Unforgivable Offenses—"Inducing Mental Confusion." While beings with mind manipulation abilities were allowed on Xianzhou, they were prohibited from employing such powers to strip individuals of their free will and control them at whim.
If discovered, it would invite the harshest punishment from the Ten-Lords Commission. Even execution upon imprisonment in The Shackling Prison would be considered lenient.
Some secrets must remain guarded. Not only would he not disclose his ability to influence others' minds to Qing Zhu and his peers, but even before General Jing Yuan himself, Su Jinyan would keep silent on this matter.
After pondering for a while, Su Jinyan suddenly asked, "Qing Zhu, could you inquire with the general?"
"Just ask him if he's mentally prepared to make a move on that mature woman."
"If he is ready, then today I'll risk everything alongside him."
What? Mature woman? Where?
This remark sent shockwaves through the Realm-Keeping Commission members, leaving Yanqing and Qing Zhu equally astounded.
Yanqing blurted out, voice trembling, "Teacher, what are you talking about? Which mature woman does the general intend to pursue?"
Excitement flickered in the eyes of the Realm-Keeping Commission members.
They never expected their general to have a taste for mature women—quite discerning indeed!
Qing Zhu, utterly stunned, exclaimed, "Sir, surely you're joking!"
"You're clearly defaming General Jing Yuan!"
"Our general, being such an upright person, couldn't possibly be interested in mature women!"
Yanqing hastily nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes."
The general absolutely wouldn't show interest in women; otherwise, how could he devote time to teaching Yanqing?
With a serious expression, Qing Zhu declared, "Our esteemed general is unmistakably a furrie enthusiast!"
Yanqing agreed, "Right, right—huh?"
Everyone from the Realm-Keeping Commission echoed, "Huh?!"
Realizing his slip, Yanqing couldn't contain his surprise anymore. Qing Zhu, even you're off today! Since when did our general become a furry enthusiast?
Su Jinyan urged, "Just ask as I told you, don't dawdle."
Though puzzled, Qing Zhu contacted Jing Yuan nonetheless, "Alright, I'll inquire with the general immediately, sir."
Shortly after, Jing Yuan provided a clear response.
"Mr., the general says to go ahead without hesitation," Qing Zhu relayed. "He will take responsibility for any issues that arise."
"Qing Zhu, do you have Dan Shu's contact information?" Su Jinyan instructed. "Give me her details."
The Realm-Keeping Commission members whispered amongst themselves.
"So the mature woman the general has set his sights on is actually the Head Pill Master?"
"Forget about the general, even I might be swayed by her figure."
"But would the general really need a strategist just to pursue the Head Pill Master?"
Feeling discontent, Yanqing rebuked them, "Enough! Stop speculating about the general."
"How could the general possibly be interested in women?"
The Realm-Keepers were even more stunned now. So the question remained: Is the general truly a furry enthusiast?
Su Jinyan glanced at the black-robed figure curled up on the ground. Upon hearing Dan Shu's name, this person showed absolutely no reaction—not even a flicker in their eyes.
With a faint sneer, Su Jinyan muttered, "Pretend all you want, keep it up."
Intuition could be mistaken, and senses might be deceived, but his eyes never lied. With this finely honed skill, he needed only a single glance at a woman to accurately determine her measurements. To date, this technique boasted a staggering 99% accuracy.
As for that remaining 1%, it either meant the subject had padding or was simply too flat—so much so that one couldn't discern whether they were A, AA, or AAA cups. Cases like Qingque, Fu Xuan, and even a certain Hallmaster from the Reincarnation Hall fell into this indistinguishable category.
Thus, given that the leader's dimensions matched Dan Shu's exactly, Su Jinyan had ample reason to harbor suspicions.
Moreover, as the Head Pill Master of the Alchemy Commission—which, frankly, was on the verge of becoming a branch of the Medicine King's secret disciples—it made no sense not to question Dan Shu.
Qing Zhu promptly sent Dan Shu's contact information to Su Jinyan.
Su Jinyan, expression grave, cleared his throat. Then, mimicking the black-robed figure's usual tone and timbre, he began speaking. His imitation sounded strikingly similar; without careful scrutiny, it would have been nearly indistinguishable.
Not just Yanqing and the others, even the black-robed figure couldn't help but widen his eyes in surprise.
Swiftly, Su Jinyan dialed Dan Shu, adopting a panicked tone, "Leader, something terrible has happened—"
Leader? Is he suspecting the Head Pill Master is the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus?
The Realm-Keeping Commission fell silent, everyone exchanging incredulous glances, hardly believing their ears.
"Wrong number," Dan Shu replied coldly.
Click.
Dan Shu promptly hung up the phone.
The black-robed figure remained expressionless but couldn't help sneering inwardly.
Amidst the murmurs in the Realm-Keeping Commission, even Qing Zhu could no longer suppress his doubts:
"Sir, are you suspecting Head Pill Master...?"
"That she's the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus?" Su Jinyan furrowed his brow slightly. "Why the rush? Just because she claims it was a wrong number, does that make it so?"
Regardless of what others might think, he was determined to provoke Dan Shu today.
Under everyone's watchful gaze, Su Jinyan dialed her number once more.
"It's me again—!" Su Jinyan exclaimed anxiously.
Click.
Dan Shu hung up for the second time.
The black-robed figure began to panic.
"Teacher," Yanqing reminded him, "the call has been disconnected again."
Undeterred, Su Jinyan persisted and called Dan Shu for the third time.
This time, Dan Shu answered as before, yet surprisingly did not hang up immediately. A normal person would have likely blocked him after the second attempt, or at least refused to answer by the third.
"Leader, it's urgent! The Cloud Knights have suddenly sealed off the Alchemy Commission's paradise."
"Many of our brethren from the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus are still within the Alchemy Commission, refining pills and medicines," Su Jinyan panted, his voice frantic. "They haven't had time to escape."
"I'm also inside the commission; it's only a matter of time before I'm captured," he cried out.
On the other end of the phone, Dan Shu's irate voice swiftly responded.
"Didn't he obtain just the medicinal formula?"
"How did he get hold of the list of cultivators as well?"
Following this, faint snippets of conversation between Dan Shu and another person could be heard, too distant to make out clearly.
Everyone in the Realm-Keeping Commission held their breath, afraid to utter a sound. If anyone were to slip up and alert Dan Shu at this moment, they risked not only losing their job but also being branded as accomplices of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus.
"Leader, Leader?" Su Jinyan asked uneasily.
"Do not panic," Dan Shu replied gravely. "Is the Dragon Girl still within the Alchemy Commission's paradise?"
"Capture her immediately and threaten to harm her life to force the Cloud Knights to retreat. Given Jing Yuan's high regard for the Dragon Girl, as long as she is in our hands, he won't dare act recklessly."
Su Jinyan glanced at Yanqing, who subtly shook his head, bringing him some relief.
"That's what I was about to mention, esteemed leader," Su Jinyan replied calmly. "The Dragon Girl slipped away while you were holding the meeting this morning."
"We searched the Medicine Bureau, Elixir Research Terrace, Green Satchel Pavilion... She wasn't found anywhere within the Alchemy Commission."
There was a sudden sound, akin to a phone being flung across the room.
Unfazed, Su Jinyan shrugged and said, "See? Her true identity has been revealed just like that." As he spoke, his gaze reflected a classic pie chart—three parts indifference, three parts mockery, three parts nonchalance, with one part held back lest he appear too conceited.
"For me, handling such trivial matters is effortless."
"You all heard it, didn't you? Dan Shu personally admitted her status as the leader. This conversation is also being recorded."
Yanqing and others were left speechless.
Qing Zhu, in particular, found it hard to believe. "Did Mr. Su really uncover the leader's true identity so effortlessly?"
"How did you know Dan Shu was the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus?"
Su Jinyan's expression remained impassive. "The process doesn't matter; what's important is that Dan Shu has acknowledged it herself, isn't it?" He then turned to address Qing Zhu directly. "I have two tasks for you:
"First, under the auspices of the Divine Strategy Agency, collaborate with the Ten Kings' Commissions to issue a public announcement on forums, ensuring widespread publicity of our achievements.
"Second, instruct Yanqing to assemble elite Cloud Knight forces and divide them into two groups. One group will swiftly apprehend the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, Dan Shu.
"The other group will target and capture the remaining cultivators at the various outposts of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus."
"Firstly, under the auspices of the Seat of Divine Foresight, collaborate with the Ten-Lords Commission to issue a public announcement on the forum, magnifying our achievements and spreading word far and wide."
"Secondly, instruct Yanqing to assemble the cloud-mounted elite forces. Divide them into two groups: one will swiftly apprehend Pillar Dan, leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus."
"The other group must capture all remaining cultivators at the sect's outposts in a single sweep—without fail."
Yanqing slowly drew his sword, determination igniting in his eyes. "Leave it to me, Teacher. I won't disappoint you."
Smiling warmly, Su Jinyan glanced around. "Additionally, to prevent any leaks..."
"Until Dan Shu is captured, gentlemen of the Realm-Keeping Commission, I'll rely on you to reside here and maintain vigilance."
The members of the Realm-Keeping Commission exchanged puzzled looks.
Just then, the black-robed figure huddled within the sack opened his eyes wide with terror and began to sob audibly.
Thud!
The black-robed man's head slammed against the ground. Simultaneously, his pill bladder ruptured, releasing a gradually spreading aura of amethyst-gray mist.
Yanqing's gaze sharpened as he unsheathed his silver flying sword, striking precisely at the black-robed man's pill bladder.
The shimmering flying sword hummed, gradually turning purple-gray as it rapidly absorbed the dissipating mist.
Fortunately, Yanqing had always been fond of collecting swords, each with their unique strengths—perfectly suited for this moment.
"Teacher, perhaps Pillar Dan Shu took action against him," Yanqing said gravely.
"Waste no time; act immediately," Su Jinyan commanded.
Too many uncertainties surrounded the surviving black-robed figure. He needed conclusive evidence to die with them. And who better understood these figures than Dan Shu herself?
Su Jinyan rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Once the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus were nearly annihilated, it would be time for Xueyi and Hanya to fulfill their promises.
Yanqing acknowledged the order, preparing promptly to lead a team to apprehend Dan Shu.
"Wait, Yanqing—" Su Jinyan called out, seemingly remembering something just in time.
"What further instructions do you have, Teacher?" Yanqing asked.
"I bear an irreconcilable grudge against that old traitor Dan Shu. I will accompany you to arrest her," Su Jinyan declared solemnly.
After bidding farewell to Fu Xuan, Dan Shu swiftly headed to the hidden stronghold of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus within the Exalting Sanctum, seeking out Phantylia.
"Phantylia, we're allies and partners!" Dan Shu began, her tone accusatory. "How could you send my cultivators to their deaths without my consent? And that Black Rose's deception—wasn't it your doing as well?"
Phantylia dipped a brush into black nail polish, calmly applying it to her nails, seemingly unfazed. "Dan Shu, why be so upset?" she replied lightly. "Indeed, we are allies and partners. The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus are such a useful organization; what harm is there in letting me utilize them temporarily? Surely you aren't that stingy?"
Despite Dan Shu's dark expression, she had no choice but to swallow her anger. Their relationship was not as straightforward as it appeared. Rather than a genuine partnership between allies, it was more akin to Phantylia's one-sided charity, driven by a sense of "pity."
In essence, their collaboration served both parties' needs. In just six centuries, Phantylia had plunged 122 worlds into chaos. However, during her pursuit of destruction ("his ruin"), there often arose the risk of self-destruction ("her ruin").
Despite being an Emanator of Destruction, Phantylia harbored deep fear about her own eventual demise. Consequently, she relentlessly sought an immortal and indestructible body, which would free her from the terror of annihilation.
However, no matter how many bodies she usurped, Phantylia's quest remained unfulfilled.
By chance, Phantylia arrived at Xianzhou Luofu and, during her clandestine stay, encountered Pillar Dan Shu, the leader of the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus.
Phantylia yearned for an eternal, imperishable vessel, while Dan Shu desired to rule Luofu, aiming to restore ancient practices and bring back the era of boundless longevity, granting immortality to all.
Yet, Phantylia's status as an Emanator of Destruction exerted immense pressure on Dan Shu. She was well aware that collaborating with Phantylia was akin to bargaining with a tiger for its hide—a perilous endeavor.
But waiting any longer was simply not an option for her.
The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus had been covertly operating within Xianzhou Luofu for years, only to continually suffer like strays, pursued relentlessly by the Cloud Knights and Ten-Lords Commission, making desperate escapes without any significant progress.
Phantylia's arrival signaled a potential turning point.
Fiddling with her nails, Phantylia casually remarked, "Speaking of which, you mentioned introducing me to one of your organization's cultivators."
"Someone who could accompany this humble mistress on a tour of Xianzhou Luofu."
"Where is he? Why haven't we seen him around?" Phantylia asked coolly.
Dan Shu replied icily, "Have you the audacity to even mention him?"
"Wasn't it your deliberate ploy to have Black Rose utter those words, provoking the Judges of the Ten-Lords Commission?"
Phantylia giggled coyly, "Indeed, that was my doing."
"I merely wanted to gauge his capabilities. Judging by your expression now, I assume he didn't disappoint me, did he?"
Dan Shu's tone remained steady. "Sun Xiaochuan has already betrayed our organization, and I'm uncertain how much of its secrets he possesses."
"Anyone who betrays the organization must die; he is no exception."
"But Phantylia, aren't you intent on destroying Luofu and overthrowing the Ethereal Immortal Ferry's regime?" suggested Dan Shu.
"Why not strike first against this diviner, so favored by Fu Xuan?" proposed Dan Shu.
Phantylia responded nonchalantly, "That wouldn't align with my aesthetics of destruction."
"Besides, wouldn't it be a pity for such an intriguing little fellow to perish?"
"Dan Shu, leave him alone. He should be at my feet, serving me diligently instead," she cooed seductively.
"After collaborating for so long, it's time you witness my sincerity."
"In just a few days, Luofu will undergo a monumental transformation—don't blink, or you'll miss it," Phantylia teased.
Dan Shu's expression darkened. "Hmph, better make it worth my while."
Phantylia's lips parted slightly as she gently blew onto her slender, ivory-like fingers.
"Dan Shu, do you have any means to contact that little fellow?"
"Tell him to come forth with the Medicine King's secret teachings, and I'll reward him handsomely."
Mentioning Su Jinyan ignited Dan Shu's ire. She had once believed he was merely a carefully manipulated pawn. To her surprise, this pawn transformed into Jing Yuan's masterstroke, catching her completely off guard.
"Haven't I already said it? He has betrayed the organization."
"If not for your impulsive actions, I could have persuaded Black Rose to lure him back."
"Now, unless his intelligence suddenly fails him, there's no chance he'll return to the organization."
"Worse still, our Disciples of Sanctus Medicus are at a disadvantage, with many of our secrets falling into enemy hands..."
Buzz...
At that moment, Dan Shu's phone vibrated within her pocket, receiving a call from the black-robed figure.
She answered the call, but after hearing just one sentence, coldly replied, "You've dialed the wrong number."
This repeated twice more before Dan Shu finally accepted the call on the third attempt.
This was their usual encrypted communication method between Dan Shu and the black-robed figure. If the black-robed figure did not call back after each hang-up, it would indicate a problem on his end.
When the black-robed figure mentioned the arrest of one of their cultivators by the Alchemy Commission, Dan Shu couldn't help but bristle with anger.
"Didn't he only obtain the medicinal formula?"
"How did our list of cultivator identities also fall into his hands?"
Phantylia feigned ignorance, asking knowingly, "What's wrong, Dan Shu?"
Dan Shu's face darkened. "Thanks to you, the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus' plans within the Alchemy Commission have been prematurely exposed."
"All our skilled cultivators, proficient in pill refinement, are now under the Alchemy Commission's control."
"Once they're captured, the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus will lose all logistical support and be unable to provide Dragon-Coiled Soaring Pills, Dust Return Form Locking Pills, and other such medicinal remedies..."
"In essence, we stand to lose at least half of our combat strength."
Phantylia covered her rosy lips, perfectly feigning shock. "Does this mean the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus are crippled?"
"Is there still time for me to find another suitable alliance?"
The black-robed figure's voice echoed once more from the phone, "Leader, Leader?"
"Do not panic," Dan Shu replied sternly. "Has the Dragon Girl remained within the Alchemy Commission's paradise?"
"Capture her swiftly and threaten the Cloud Knights with her life to force their retreat."
"That was my intention as well, Official Dan Chu," the black-robed figure responded. "However, during your meeting earlier today, the Dragon Girl managed to secretly escape."
"We've searched everywhere—the Medicine Bureau, Elixir Research Terrace, Medicine Pavilion... She is nowhere to be found within the entire Alchemy Commission."
Crash!
In fury, Dan Chu hurled her phone to the ground, her ample chest heaving rapidly. She clenched her lips and silently activated Profound Energy Devour on herself.
The Black Rose would inevitably be captured by the Cloud Knights sooner or later. However, she felt no concern; there was no way the Imperial Judge from the Ten-Lords Commission could arrive so swiftly.
Although Black Rose served as her chief guard, his pill bladder had long been tampered with by her hand. By initiating Profound Energy Devour here, she ensured Black Rose's certain demise.
Only one aspect troubled Dan Chu slightly.
How unexpectedly swift and decisive Jing Yuan's actions were this time? It seemed likely that he exploited the element of surprise, using Sun Xiaochuan and Fu Xuan to distract her while making his move.
"Damn it, damn it—"
If not for Sun Xiaochuan obtaining concrete evidence, even if Jing Yuan suspected an insider within the Alchemy Commission, he never would have dared to openly seal off their paradise and apprehend the cultivator.
Phantylia rose, preparing to leave, and remarked leisurely, "Since your Alchemy Commission's stronghold has fallen to the Cloud Knights,
I suppose this outpost is no longer safe."
"It just happens that I'm growing weary here anyway, so I might as well venture out for some fresh air."
"Oh, and you won't need to seek me; I'll contact you when necessary."
Dan Chu stared incredulously.
Phantylia, you useless waste! Are you truly my ally as a Disciple of Sanctus Medicus, or just another puppet for the Seat of Divine Foresight to manipulate?
Of course, Dan Shu dared only to vent these thoughts silently within her mind, finding solace in the mental outburst.
If she were to voice such words aloud in reality, she'd surely meet her demise.
Phantylia narrowed her beautiful eyes, licking her lips with a small, red tongue. As Su Jinyan's reputation in Luofu grew and his influence over the six divisions increased, it became increasingly advantageous for her. In essence, wasn't she subtly bolstering Su Jinyan's standing through her actions?
As for the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus and Dan Shu? Phantylia scoffed—mere wastes, hardly even worth considering as pawns, utterly insignificant.
With a better option available, why would she support Dan Shu?
Dan Shu's face darkened. "Phantylia, you promised me," she said bitterly. "It was you who pledged to back the Medicine King's secret teachings and overthrow Luofu's regime."
Phantylia's lips curved slightly upward. "Indeed, I did make that promise," she acknowledged. "However, what a pity—the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus prove far too inept." She continued, disdain lacing her words, "Their grand legacy cannot even match the value of a mere pawn I favor. The fact that one individual can bring your entire sect to the brink of ruin speaks volumes about his superiority over you. Why should I not support him instead?"
"Instead, why not support him directly? Adding him to my collection would surely be quite entertaining," Phantylia continued with a slight smile.
"You—" Dan Shu began, taken aback.
"Why don't we do this?" Phantylia interrupted softly. "Dan Shu, let's advance the time I promised you by a few days."
"If the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus can endure through tonight, I'll give you all a surprise. How does that sound?"
Dan Shu drew a deep breath. "Phantylia, I truly hope you will honor your word this time. Although the Disciples may lack strength, without their restraint, how could you alone counter Jing Yuan?
"Hmph, even as the Monarch of Destruction, you wouldn't dare face Xianzhou Luofu head-on."
A cold smile played at the corners of Phantylia's lips. As the Monarch of Destruction, she inherently feared no one, including Jing Yuan. However, her current body was exceedingly fragile, and she worried about self-destruction amidst the chaos, which is why she avoided direct confrontation with Jing Yuan.
Once the Stellaron exploded and the World Tree revived, she would obtain the coveted vessel she had long dreamt of. At that point, what fear would she have of Jing Yuan or any like him? Not just one Jing Yuan, but even several more, she could handle with ease.
That night, near the outskirts of the Exalting Sanctum.
A man clad in black, with blood-red eyes and long indigo hair, let out a feral roar as he swung his sword, its crimson light sweeping through the area, leaving countless casualties in its wake.
The few surviving cultivators, their expressions filled with terror, retreated continuously while mentally cursing the man before them with the most venomous invectives.
Initially, seeing him akin to an outlander, they had attempted to invite him into the secret teachings of the Benevolent Medicine King, promising eternal life for those who embraced this faith. However, no one could have anticipated that this seemingly ordinary man would suddenly go berserk.
Upon hearing the name "Benevolent Medicine King," the black-clothed man appeared gripped by madness. Without uttering a word, he drew his sword and immediately attacked them.
In less time than it takes for half an incense stick to burn, numerous cultivators at this hidden outpost lay dead or grievously wounded.
With each glance back, the cultivators who had just recovered from their injuries using Mara-Struck transformations were once again reduced to pulp by the relentless onslaught of this man.
He was a devil—a true devil! What had we ever done to provoke your Benevolent Medicine King?
Violet Rose trembled uncontrollably; the sheer horror emanating from the man before him surpassed anything he could have imagined. In all his years with the Cloud Knights, he had never encountered someone so powerful—not even the Cloud Knight instructors compared to this individual.
As the blood-soaked man advanced with his sword drawn, Violet Rose's hands trembled uncontrollably. In desperation, he hastily swallowed several medicinal pills.
Instantly, he began gasping as if struck by a sudden illness, emitting agonized cries that couldn't be suppressed. The flowing blood on the ground surged eagerly towards the disfigured form of Violet Rose.
Not far from the outskirts, upon hearing those screams, Su Jinyan's eyes sharpened, and he coldly declared:
"I detect an overwhelming scent of blood; something dire must have occurred at this outpost. Everyone, stay vigilant and keep your senses alert."
Yanqing's gaze intensified, and within moments, six flying swords soared high into the sky.
"Teacher, there may be formidable adversaries ahead," Yanqing warned. "But worry not—such challenges are best left to me. Just await my triumphant news."
"Not—" Before Su Jinyan could stop him, Yanqing had already rushed impatiently forward.
With an opportunity to confront strong enemies right before him, he couldn't let his teacher seize the lead.
"Dang it, all Cloud Knights follow me!" Su Jinyan, feeling exasperated, swiftly commanded the Cloud Knights to chase after Yanqing.
Why was that brat Yanqing always so impulsive?
