The dim light of the clearing barely illuminated her face, but her eyes remained locked on him, determined and sincere. Maravi and Seravi stood silently behind him, their feline ears twitching as they watched the exchange, but Flonda paid them no mind. Her entire focus was on Voldrak, as if no one else existed in that moment.
"If you don't agree," she continued, her voice catching slightly, though her resolve did not waver, "then you can simply carve my core out of my chest!" With that, she dropped to her knees before him, her breath coming in shallow bursts as the tension between them thickened.
