With a deep breath to steady her nerves, Xar stood up, towering over the other patrons as she made her way toward Voldrak. Her large horn gleamed under the dim light, marking her rank and authority. Some of the patrons took notice of her movement, shifting uncomfortably, but she paid them no mind.
Voldrak remained unaware of her approach until the faintest sound of heavy footfalls stopped just in front of him. He looked up, his gaze meeting hers.
Xar's heart skipped a beat as his eyes locked onto hers, a deep heat blooming in her chest. She shifted her weight nervously but tried to keep her composure.
"I…" she started, her voice faltering for a moment before she straightened her back. "I have to confess something."
Voldrak raised a brow, mildly intrigued. "What is it?"
