"A book?" Freya listened as Leslie spoke. She had taken the lead after they reached the 14th area, where Leslie decided to mention something about more power as a blood consumer, "My fangs were not for show, anyway. I was wondering why I need a book, when I could just bite my target?"
"Because you lack the necessary systems to process that blood into energy outside you current skills. If you had the Book of Devouring, then you could learn the [Feast] skill and be able to convert the blood you consume into energy." Leslie took a deep breath, "What a mouthful."
"I didn't ask you to say so much!" Freya rolled her eyes, watching as Leslie pulled back an arrow and fired into the darkness. There was a sharp cry, then silence, "I can barely see a thing, but I guess the grass means we haven't changed biomes."
