"Now, I can ask more questions…" Bob pushed her away, causing her to stagger backwards in a paddling motion, then watched as Big Blue leapt over his head, landing in front of him and howling.
"What do you want to know?" Freya was trembling with fear and rage, like a vibrator. Is this how this human repays her for everything she has done? She even showed him her hideout!
"Are you really this dumb, or is it an act?" Bob watched her angered expression curiously, "I was wondering how it takes to be in here, so I asked you. I am shocked you reacted this… uh… strongly hearing me call this place a prison. We are caged here, aren't we?"
"Normally, those who get thrown in here should not know what this place is. We can only tell stories of what he stored in ancient texts, but I guess…" Freya frowned, her face twisting into an ugly expression, "You don't have that issue! And, where did you get this monster?"
'So she was just really dumb after all?' Bob thought to himself.
"You are not in a position to ask the question," he replied, sighing exasperatedly, his brows furrowing. If nothing she told him were lies, then he was in a lot of trouble now. Imagine all of his potential, wasting away in this wasted dungeon!"
"Please, you don't have to fight me. I am analysing you and you're barely a Level 4. I've trained in here for years, so I'm standing at Level 30 — the world limit. You're no match for me." She turned to his big blue wolf, "But this thing… even with my strength, I can't see its level."
"You analysed me? How did you do that?" Bob asked genuinely.
Freya felt like he had pierced her heart with a spear of words, and it burned with stupidity! Even if he did not know, why would he ask someone he was threatening? In this situation, telling the fool a lie would send him down an eternal path of pain and suffering…
'Or get you eaten.' Bob sneered in his heart.
"You can do that by staring at someone and thinking…" Freya paused for a few seconds then she drew a deep breath, looking exasperated, "Analyse. Yes, don't look at me like that, it's that simple."
"It's that simple, isn't it." Bob sighed, this woman's analysis was not analysing. Bob turned to the big blue wolf who was waiting patiently for the next command, a cold gleam in his eyes "Eat that—"
"Wait!" She quickly shouted, and Bob turned to her with an impatient frown on his face, "It never works on enemies more than 10 levels above yours! Just let me go and you will never see my face in this place again!"
Bob stared her up and down, 'Does she really believe that he was going to let her walk out that door like this? In what world is that supposed to make any sense? As a gamer — if allowed — then farming NPCs for XP is very acceptable!'
He shrugged, staring blankly as the big blue wolf began to approach Freya. He would try to steal-kill like last time and gain a massive skill boost! Holding his chin, Bob wondered how he would leave this death trap. He needed to come out and bathe in the sun again.
Freya watched the wolf approach, and she held her blade, entering a stance. As the wolf dashed forward, swiping its claws, she leapt back at a fast speed. Bob's pupils narrowed to needlepoint, and he searched for her in the shadows, his brows knitting.
She appeared and leapt out of the darkness beside him, swinging her sword with all her might. Bob spun around and he blocked the attack with his dagger, skidding back with her blade pressing down hard on his crooked dagger. The big blue wolf took the chance and attacked her!
Its paws slapped into her back, and Bob dashed away, watching as she staggered forward, blood vomited from her mouth. She spun around and swung her blade, creating a vicious arc of light as her blade cut the wolf's paws clean off, spilling its blood all over the place.
Freya heaved, dashing to the side and dodging Bob's thrust but before she could escape, he spun around and carved a long jagged gash across her chest, spilling her flesh and blood. She was not just some dead weight he could push around… Bob frowned.
Even as she bled, Freya dashed forward with all her might, shattering the ground behind her. As she reached Bob, he dodged her and she ran right into the wolf's swiping paws. In a burst of energy, she was sent flying across the room until she crashed into a wall, falling weakly.
'Can she be of use to me?' Bob wondered as the big blue wolf leapt forward, sending her flying across the room until she crashed headfirst into another wall. She was unable to defend herself once she lost her ground given the level difference.
There was no way she could fight with a Level 100 when she was a Level 30. Bob wondered how useful she could be if she was given the strength she lacked. Yes! With a bigger force, he could reach better depths of the dungeon and clear rooms faster!
"I will do anything if you let me live…" Freya staggered to her feet, clenching her blade nigher, "If you don't want me to be near you, then I promised to disappear from your sight. I wouldn't try to kill you if that is what you are afraid of…"
Bob cleared his throat, and the azure wolf paused, 'It would not be very heroic for him if he was to kill an NPC even after they begged for their lives. That sounds like something only a certain player of a certain game enjoyed doing for whatever reason… where were their principles?'
He sighed as Freya took the chance to throw her blade in his direction, lifting her hand into the air and turning around. It would be so fun to have his wolf swallow her whole — or drive her over with a car, ahem — but, with more over-levelled allies, then this shadow god would bow to him!
"Are you okay with getting put in extremely dangerous situations for no reason?" Bob asked.
"Yes," Freya answered without turning around.
"Do you promise on — Heh — your life to follow without questioning orders?" Bob continued.
"Yes, boss!" she shouted.
He held his chin, then he kicked Freya's blade to her. As she turned around to pick it up, her eyes welled with tears and her face flushed. Bob's head swelled as she thanked him profusely, "So, here's the plan: I am going to pick you up and throw you in a room filled with monsters—"
"Wait…" Freya blinked, "What the Fu— ahem! I am amazed by your brilliance, great lord!"
