Black flames scattered in the air.

"These wisps did not get any less annoying than last time." Bob frowned, one hand on his chin as he cast his glance from one side to another, "The monsters spawn randomly in the dungeon. There is no way to affect how this happens, no matter what I've tried."

Jacquelyn and Demetrius made quick work of the new black wisps, leaving nothing for Darius. A calm gleam settled in Bob's gaze as he took in a deep breath and relaxed his body, "I can share my XP with pets the same way with allies, but there is a distance limit. I don't have a tape, but it's small."

'Uh… about the average lorry length? Uh, what's considered an average lorry's length? Uh…' Bob shook his head, then cleared his throat, 'It's not like I'll knew something like that offhand. I will stop.'

He turned his gaze to the side, and seeing a wisp cackling as it rushed towards him, he felt a big vein pop on his forehead, and Bob clenched his hand into a fist. Before the wisp could enter his trap, Darius leapt forth and slapped it in his paws, and it died in an instant.

"Hmm." Bob sighed, walking forward until he reached a familiar door. He unlocked the door and stepped inside, leading the three wolves through the path of darkness, 'And till now, this torch hasn't extinguished!' Bob waved it around like a weapon, and the flames danced in the air.

He imagined what would happen if the light suddenly went out. Ah-Haha. All Bob saw was a Bob running down a dark path, swords in his butt, arrows in his neck and a spear through his hear. There was a frying pan on his head, and it wobbled as he ran, the wolves following behind him.

Bob stopped waving the torch, and focused on the road ahead, 'Why was this room brighter the time he came here to die? I know for sure that the monsters are random, but are the rooms random too? That would render guides and maps of interiors useless.'

"I wish I could travel through landmarks with others." Bob sighed, "I thought I would teleport to it after securing more bombs— I mean pets, but I tried and it only works on me. I wonder what they are doing without me to guide their dumb asses."

Bob paused hearing a strange sound.

A glass plate hurtled through the darkness, and smashed on the back of Bob's head. He blinked, turning around and sighing deeply, "I guess it had begun again. So, my puppies, here's how fast they are going to throw stuff at us and how much run we need to run."

——

 "I swear I was not hallucinating… I can swear I was not hallucinating… I was not hallucinating…"

 "Was I hallucinating?"

Freya stared at her reflection in the water and she stared at it intently. She had washed her face countless times, but she could not get what she'd seen out of her head, "Bob killed himself. Bob was dead. I could not find the body. Why can't I find the body? Where did it go?"

She had held the body, felt his temperature grow cold, and nearly had a heart attack! Freya held his heart in her hand — he spilled his guts, and she held it in her hand. So she turned around for an instant, then the body was gone. Not a trace was left!

"Where did it go… Where did it go…" Freya washed her face some more, then after a while, she buried it in the water completely, her heart beating hard in her chest. She needed to cool down but the longer she thought about it, the bigger her eyes became, "Was he god in disguise?"

Freya held her chin and rolled her eyes to the ceiling, "Maybe he had grown tired of this world, and decided to kill himself and return to heaven. Before mother died, she did say that gods have an innate power to get reborn in the body of whoever they wished."

 Click~Creak.

Freya froze, and her heart skipped a beat, and she slowly turned around. Aquarius was sleeping by the corner, so he wasn't the one who unlocked the door. She took shaky steps as Freya turned to face the door, and seeing who it was, blood drained from her face, "Boss?"

——

Bob stared at Freya, and she looked like she'd seen a ghost. She was trembling, and muttering in a language he did not understand. Bob stepped forward, and the three wolves followed him. As soon as they stepped foot into the room, Aquarius shook his nose and rolled over.

The three wolves stared at Aquarius as an intense aura collapsed on the atmosphere. Bob didn't pay them attention, approaching Freya and smiling awkwardly as she staggered back, pointing at his chest with a shaky finger, her voice as sharp as a blade, "I saw you, and you died."

 "I did?" Bob blinked.

"You didn't?" Freya pressed, on the verge of losing her mind. Seeing him shrug, Freya screamed like a banshee and attacked Bob. He tried to run, but her fingers were latched into his hands, "How dare you just shrug? I watched you shred your chest to pieces. Take off your clothes, I want to—"

"So, like… should I take off everything? Isn't this place a bit too drab for that kind of stuff." Bob taunted her further — because after all, throwing a madwoman off guard was the best way to calm them — smiling sheepishly, "Aren't you being a little too harsh with your boss?"

Freya wanted to rip his clothes off his body, but staring at the tattered mess he wore, she pitied him deep in her heart and sighed. Freya unlatched her fingers, then stepped back calmly as he took the initiative to pull his shirt, revealing that the wound was gone.

"Impossible." Freya stared at Bob, shock plastered on her face, "Only demons have the power to respawn in the prison." Murderous intent appeared in her gaze, but after a while, it settled, "Unless… you are not a demon, but a hero?"

Bob smiled and Freya's heartbeat spiked.
