A thick and suffocating silence followed after Adam's questions. His eyes demanded an answer but betrayed the fact that he was also too afraid to hear. He feared the truth that might be revealed. Was everything a setup from the very beginning? Adm didn't want to believe but shake it off.
Meanwhile, Alex just shrugged like it was no big deal. He had absolutely no plan to answer that question as he was being careful what he revealed before Sara got a reaction from recalling something suddenly. She might just faint again, and he didn't want that happening. His heart may not be able to take it.
"Unc…Alex, what did you mean when you said, 'take her back'?" He repeated his question, and Alex smirked.
He was starting to piece things together. Too bad he would end up being wrong no matter how hard he tried to put the pieces together.
