It was lunchtime, and Sara sat alone on a table at the far corner just beside a window. She had no appetite, but here she was. Before, he was a cup of Americno but all he did was sit on the table.
With her hands resting on the table as her body leaned forward, her gaze was stuck on the view outside, but her mind was not focused on it. She was thinking back to everything that had happened until this moment.
Just every other day, Alex was in a meeting. She, along with Kai, had been present, but he barely paid attention to her. He wouldn't even look at her if he didn't have anything to say to her. The indifference in his tone each time he spoke had stung her badly, but she said nothing, silently bearing the ache. Following him to his office after the meeting to hand him what she had drafted out as well as his schedule based on the meeting, all he did was just take it and bury his face in his work.
