As if the idea that Alex, the man none within the family and beyond for being celibate, had a woman in his house wasn't shocking enough, Nicholas even addressed her as his granddaughter-in-law. Adam was completely at a loss for words and didn't even know how to react. He so desperately wanted to see who that woman was, but he didn't dare to ask.
From the conversation with the doctor and the little exchange between Nickolas and Alex, it was obvious that something tragic happened last night. No wonder he was away so late at night and even refused to see him after his return.
"Leave the Goldmans to me. You take care of the other problem," Nicholas said, and Alex raised a brow in askance. "I wasn't born yesterday, kid," Nicholas said, and Alex chuckled and shook his head.
"I'll handle Dane Scott," Alex replied. Though a bit reluctant, he trusted his grandfather's abilities, and it's not like he would let him do anything completely on his own.
