At Jessa's apartment,
While Anne was still fast asleep in bed after taking take the hangover soup, Jessa went to the living room with her laptop as she thought it was time to look into the man known as Alexander Legend.
Just as she input his name into the laptop, her cell phone rang, and she sighed but answered the call because it was an important one.
"Do you have what I need?" She asked, going straight to the point.
"Open the door, I am outdisde," the irritated voice of Bernice was heard, and Jessa frowned.
What was she doing here?
"Are you going to open it or not?" She sound impatient, and Jessa glared at the door as if she could see Bernice behind it already.
"Give me a moment," said Jessa and stood up to go and open it. She opened but couldn't find anyone there, and they frowned. "She kidding me or something?" Jessa stared a
Down the flight of stress but still couldn't see the women who claimed to be outside.
"Hold on a minute," Bernice's voice came from below the stairs and the phone. "Your patience gets yhiner every day, I see," she clicked her tongue as she climbed up. "I woke so hard, yet you treat me so poorly."
"You said you were already here," Jessa uttered, and Bernice shrugged.
"I just didn't want to wait or knock. Now I can just walk in," she snuck past Jessa and entered the apartment. "You were working? No wonder you are pissed, sorry."
"The next time you apologize, how about you at least try to sound like you mean it?" Jessa pushed her aside, and she sat back down in front of the laptop.
"I thought I did? Next time, I'll try to force a tear," Bernice uttered, but Jessa ignored her remark.
"What did you find? Let me have it," Bernice frowned, looking at Jessa's hand stretched in front of her. "What?"
"You are heartless. At least offer me a glass of juice," she was met with a blank stare from Jessa. "How about water? That's not much to ask for, right?"
Jessa took a deep breath and rose to her feet again. Don't touch anything and don't make any noise. If she wakes up complaining, I won't let you off easy."
"That's a big threat," Bernice beamed but very curious about who was sleeping in the room. Taking her eyes off the room's door, she looked down at the laptop, and the name that appeared on it caught her interest.
"I said don't touch anything," Jessa appeared behind just as she was about to scroll down.
Bernice raises her hands in surrender. "I didn't. I was just about to, but I didn't," she said in her defense, and it was not a lie.
"Your water," Jessa shoved it into her hands. "Give me what you found and leave."
"I have the dirt on him. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The son of a b*tch doesn't even try to cover up his tracks," she gave Jessa a look, "How did you come in contact with such a person? He sucks like hell."
"That's none of your business. Hand them over and leave," Jessa uttered, unfazed but Bernice's glare.
"Don't you want to ruin him? Who better for the job than me?" Bernice moved closer to the table and leaned towards Jessa. "I am the social media queen between the both of us. You know I am right," she smiled when she saw that Jessa was thinking about what she said. "Just let me in on a little bit of your story with him, and he's a goner."
"Fine," Jessa sighed again. Was she getting old thay she sighed so much now? She tho8ght and inwardly shook her head.
"So? Who are you looking up now?" She was quick to change the conversation before Jessa changed her mind.
"Don't act like you didn't already see it," but she still turned the laptop to her. "My best new boss. I want to know who he is and what he truly is," she said.
There was no way that man could be as simple as a normal office boss. The air around him was too heavy for him to be considered normal. Even though he tried to tone it down and be seen as normal, she knew without a doubt that he wasn't.
"Alexander Legend… sounds familiar… he is definitely familiar," Bernice said as a frown marred her face. "Don't tell me he is your next target. I'll advise you to drop it immediately if you don't want to bite more than you can chew."
The change in Bernice's tone was like the icing on the cake. It solidified her thoughts.
"Can you be a little more… I don't know, informative?" Bernice gave her a helpless look.
"I don't know what he looks like, but he isn't someone easy. You can't mess with him," she said, and Jessa couldn't find anything useful in what she had said. "He is an unknown bigshot in the same league as the Scotts and Goldmans in Easton. Don't cross him."
"All I hear is don't cross him without an actual reason not to. Can't you do any better?" Jessa nearly yelled at her.
"I believe you know who powerful the Goldmans are or maybe the scotts. You can consider this one man to rival them in business. His businesses are all abroad or in Easton. Wait… why is he here?"
"To pester my best friend, I suppose," she said with a pout.
"Hahaha…. You are telling me he came here just for a woman? No one's gonna believe that," Bernice laughed, but when she saw the serious expression on Jessa's face. Her laugh seized. "You are not joking?"
"My friends were all drunk last night, and somehow, out of nowhere, he appeared and took Sara away. How else would you explain that?"
"Then you are lucky. You have a friend with a strong backing. You won't lack, and neither would I," Bernice beamed only to be glared at.
