Inside a mall, Anne and Sandra were going through a tacks of clothes along two salespersons who didn't seem to get tired of promoting the products.
"It's annoying that neither Sara nor Jessa are here with us. It would have been much better if they were," Sandra said with a sad expression.
"Let's give Jessa a call again. There's still some time," Anne proposed, and Sandra nodded with a smile. She looked at the salesperson and. Refill of their drinks, which the lady happily obliged.
While Anne phoned Jessa, Sandra decided to try her luck with Sara. But, they both ended up disappointed. None of their calls connected and were directed to voicemail.
"We tried," Anne sighed and returned the phone to her bag.
"My parents' anniversary is coming up, and Father will host a banquet. It will be a big one. Many socialites will be present. I hope you and the girls can make it. It will mean a lot to me," Sandra uttered. Her eyes brightened up as an idea came to mind. "Let's shop for them too."
"You sure know how to throw away money in the right ways," Anne teased, and Sandra giggled.
Sandra and Anne's families may not be at the top of the food chain, but they were certainly not at the bottom or among the average. They were rich in their rights. Because their social status was so client related, the two got along quite well, a lot more than with Sara and Jessa.
"Like you are any different," Sandra replied and giggled.
At the side, the salespersons made eye contact with each other in silent communication. They understood what those words meant, and they would definitely exceed their target and get the bunks for the day unless some other spendthrift popped up again.

Inside the president's office, Alex closed after Sara made her way inside. His eyes were fixated on her back as she moved. He had always taken note of every outfit she wore and how it suits her perfectly, but right now, on this black knee length, he thought she was even more beautiful than ever.
Why?
Alex didn't know the exact answer, and he didn't care to know. Sara was Sara, no matter the time and day. He approached her and, without warning, embraced her from behind, much to her shock. Sara turned frozen.
"You are exceptionally beautiful today, Sara," he whispered.
Feeling his warm breath against her neck, she snapped out of her frozen stupor but still didn't know what to do or say. "T…thank you…?"
He smiled upon hearing her as if she didn't know she was beautiful. He cupped her cheek and made her tilt her head so she was looking at him. While she stared at his face, his eyes were glued on her lips. The desire to taste them was consuming him slowly.
She parted her lips to speak, realizing the darkening color in his eyes. It was hot and smoldering, also making her feel the heat as well.
"President…" she didn't get the chance to finish as his lips came down on hers. Sara froze again. Subconsciously, she returned the kiss as her eyes closed, allowing herself to feel his soft and warm lips on hers. His kiss was gentle and tender. As if she was begging her to accept him through that kiss.
Alex couldn't help the smile that appeared when she returned his kiss. Her lips were soft and delicate and tasted like coffee. He didn't know from where that the taste came about because she didn't take any coffee, but he loved it.
After a few seconds into it, Sara realized what she was doing and immediately pulled away, putting an end to the kiss. She looked up at him and found him smiling fondly at her. His eyes shone with admiration for her, and she skipped a beat.
"You are perfect," he uttered in a tone that sounded so seductive to her ears that had her shivering.
'What have I done?' Sara asked, panicked and terrified at her own actions. How could her body betray her so? She took some steps back, but he took one closer.
Alex looked at her and saw the state she was in. She was angry, but he could tell it was not directed at him. Rather, it was at herself as if she had done something unforgivable. This didn't sit well with him. If she was to be mad at anyone, then it should be him. Niot herself.
"Sara, I…" she reached out her hand in a stop motion, which caused him to stop.
"Stop. Please stop," she said. Her emotions could be heard in her voice and seen in her eyes. There were so many that he couldn't tell which was which.
Following her demand, he remained silent, watching her and she closed her eyes and took multiple deep breaths. A moment later, she was back to herself.
"May I be excused?" She asked, staring deep into his eyes.
The sudden change caught Alex off guard but he didn't let it show. "Yes, You May," he said and she walked past him even before he could finish talking. "I am…" he stopped himself from apologizing. If he did that, then it would.mean he didn't mean what he did. The kiss they shared. It was their first but it was also a sign of his desire for her.
Alex wanted her heart, but he also wanted her body and she had to understand that. He couldn't remember the last time he kissed a woman or even held anyone until he came back here for her. She was all he could think about.
Sara stopped to hear what he'll say but nothing followed those two words. Closing her eyes and sighing, she resumed her steps only to stop an inch away from the door. "I promise that this would never repeat itself again, President," she said before walking out.
Alex turned and stared at the closed door, touched his lips and the thought of going after nearly overtook him but he didn't. She needed some time alone and he would give it to her.
