Meanwhile, Jocelyne and Ash were driving down the highway when they spotted the car tailing them. Ash's grip on the steering wheel grew tight, and his gazed focused ahead while occasionally glancing through the rareview mirror, constantly checking the distance between them and the pursuing car.
"Can't we go any faster?" Jocelyne asked. Her body was tensed and trembling from fear. She knew without a doubt that those chasing them right now were after them because of the accident that had unintentionally harmed Alex as well.
"Do you see the current speed?" Ash asked, speaking through clenched jaws. He felt both anger and a sense of responsibility towards the woman seated beside him. Maybe it was his fault for loving a woman like her even after knowing what she was like, and even now, he couldn't find it in him bail on her. So here they were, running from some unknown people because of a decision she made because of her jealousy.
