Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: The Lightning Tribulation

Feng Yan sat cross-legged in her cultivation chamber, eyes closed, her breath steady and focused. After swallowing the advancing pill, she had entered a deep state of cultivation. Days passed within her personal space, where time flowed differently—while only a few hours passed in the outside world, she had the luxury of days, even weeks, to immerse herself in her training.

Her body glowed faintly as spiritual energy surged within her, cycling through her meridians and slowly accumulating in her dantian. The pill's potent energy provided her with the boost she needed, allowing her to break through stages swiftly. She had no need for food or water, her body nourished solely by the dense spiritual qi that filled her space.

Outside, no one knew where she had disappeared. Even Bai Chen, who had been quietly watching her, couldn't locate her. The difference in time between her space and the outside world made it easy for her to cultivate without disruption. One hour outside was equivalent to three days within her space—a gift that gave her the edge to advance rapidly.

Days passed in this way, with Feng Yan completely absorbed in her cultivation. She could feel her strength growing, her spiritual power becoming more refined and powerful with each passing moment. She remained calm, her focus unwavering as the energy around her continued to build.

Then, one day, the spiritual qi in her space began to stir violently. A powerful surge of energy rushed toward her dantian, and she could feel the barrier to the next level weakening. Her heart raced with anticipation as the sky above her space darkened. Dark clouds gathered ominously, swirling with intense pressure as they blocked out the light. Thunder rumbled in the distance, warning of the impending tribulation.

She knew what was coming—the Heavenly Lightning Tribulation, a test from the heavens for those who sought to break through to the next stage of cultivation. If she survived, she would advance to the Immortal Peak stage. If not... the consequences could be dire.

Feng Yan remained calm, her eyes still closed as she continued to focus on her internal energy. The first bolt of lightning struck down from the sky without warning, hitting her with a force that would have obliterated an ordinary person. But Feng Yan had been prepared—her body had been strengthened through her cultivation, and her unique physique allowed her to endure the pain.

The lightning coursed through her veins, burning and cleansing her meridians, forcing impurities out of her body. Her skin glowed with a radiant light as the spiritual qi around her thickened, swirling faster. The dark clouds above rumbled ominously, but the sky held back, as if waiting for her next move.

Days passed once more. Feng Yan's body healed from the first lightning strike, and her energy continued to build. She knew the second strike would come soon, but she remained composed, channeling her strength and steadying her mind. The pill's effects still lingered, providing her with the extra boost she needed to weather the storm.

Then, the second bolt of lightning came, striking her with even greater intensity than the first. Feng Yan gritted her teeth, her body trembling under the immense pressure. But she held on, using the pain as fuel to push through the barrier. The spiritual qi around her thickened even more, rotating in a vortex as her dantian absorbed the energy like a bottomless pit.

The sky remained dark, thunder rumbling constantly, but again, there was a brief lull. Feng Yan used this time to stabilize her cultivation, knowing the final strike would be the most powerful. Her mind was clear, her focus sharp as she prepared for what was to come.

When the third and final bolt of lightning struck, it was as if the heavens themselves had descended upon her. The force was unimaginable, the sky lit up with a blinding light as the energy surged through her body. Feng Yan's entire form was enveloped in the golden glow of the spiritual qi, her meridians stretched to their limit as she absorbed the final strike.

Time seemed to slow down as she fought through the pain, her mind and body working in perfect harmony to channel the energy into her dantian. The spiritual qi around her exploded into a brilliant burst of light, and when it finally settled, Feng Yan opened her eyes.

The dark clouds above had dissipated, and the sky returned to its tranquil state. The tribulation was over, and Feng Yan had successfully advanced. She had basically skipped the Golden Core stage and even crossed the Basic and Mid Immortal stages, reaching the Immortal Peak stage.

Feng Yan was stunned by her advancement and also confused by this development. Is this related to her physic or the pill she refined? Will this advancement affect her foundation? During the tribulation she noticed how her body went out of control when energy surged at her dantian.

Internal injury and dantian damage is most dangerous for cultivators. A single mistake can destroy their cultivation making them unable to cultivate further turning them to normal mortals. She definitely will not allow this mistake since she need to find her family and had to revenge on Feng family.

"I need to find about my quick advancement through scrolls in the library", she thought. She then noticed her body.

Her body felt lighter, stronger, and more attuned to the spiritual energy around her. She could feel the immense power coursing through her veins, and her connection to the world of cultivation had deepened.
