The same day...
Bats got 10 bundles of money in his Space Store and went for his parents to give it to them. His parents opposed it but they later gave up seeing their son insist on giving it to them.
"Mom, Dad. Tomorrow, I'll go to the City with my brother. We'll return for a few weeks or maybe a month or more so I'll leave the construction matter to you both."
His parents were confused as to why but,
"Ok son. Don't worry about it. Thank you for this money you gave us, but is it okay for you to let me and your dad spend some of this money for our villagers?"
"Mom,Dad. It's no problem for me, besides, they were always there when we had nothing then. I just remembered when I got sick before my board exam in Baguio City. I got hospitalized then, while you were struggling hard to find money to pay for my medical expenses, they visited us and contributed a lot to pay for it."
Bats replied to them then suddenly added,
"We were poor back before and now that we have money doesn't mean we should become selfish to those the one who helped us back then. I trust our villagers here more than any people out there. That's why I'm building these building not for us but also for them in the future. Just trust me."
"We trust you son, how about we go and have a drink with our villagers at night before you leave for tomorrow."
His father replied,
Later that night, they had a party with their villagers. Drinking, eating, and having laughter with one another.....
---Next Day---
Bats and his brother Christian went to Baguio City. They visited first their sister Kaycee's rentalhouse in La Trinidad who is in college studying nursing.
"Big brother, I'm hungry. How about we eat outside with our sister as a celebration for coming home?"
Christian couldn't take it anymore as his stomach started to growl.
"Yeah big brother, let's eat lunch outside. I'm sick of eating can goods,frozen food and noodles here. I know a place, it just opened recently."
Kaycee said with her persuasive eyes.
Bats couldn't say no to both of them as they were persuading him.
Then they went to the place his sister recommended. After eating, Bats gave money to her sister as an additional allowance and to spend for herself.
It didn't take long, they parted ways. Both brothers went to a shooting range area.
This was Bats plan so that his brother can protect himself or protect their family if he was not around when the apocalypse descends.
"Are we really going into this place?"
Christian eyes became big as he couldn't believe it because it was like a dream for him to touch a gun.
That was because he always plays CODM, and PUBG Mobile. He is 18 years old now and that was the least requirements for entering the shooting range area.
Bats smiled and nooded to him.
Time Flies Faster...
---A Month Later (June 04,2024)---
Bats and Christian improved their shooting accuracy. Not only that, they can even withstand the recoil of big weapons.
"Big Brother, how about let's have a match. Let's see who has good accuracy. It's simple, just a 300 meter target. Hehe"
Christian said with full confidence while stretching both his arms.
"Sure, if you beat me, I'll buy you whatever you want. Only if you beat me, but if you lose. You must follow me."
Bats replied while provoking his brother.
The result.....
Bats lost, who would have thought his brother has good accuracy than him. Maybe because he just love playing guns like playing in CODM and PUBG Mobile.
"Haha, looks like you'll buy me a new phone today."
Christian said with an excitement while laughing at him.
Bats sighed.
"Ok, you won. Let's go at the mall tonight. I'll buy you your new phone."
After a while, Bats went the reception area. Then a sudden voice came,
" Hey hey, I already know as why you came closer. Selling guns from a shooting range area is prohibited!"
It was Manager Abel who was in charge of the shooting range area.
"Come on Sir, I've been your good costumer for a month now. I'll give extra reward if you sell me some."
Bats smirked while showing him a bundle of money then returning it again to his backpack.
"Haha, I remember when you first came here, you were rushing coming to me and keep on saying nonsense such as buying guns as if I'm your godfather or what!"
"Selling guns are prohibited in here. Look at you, who would sell guns from you? Just looking at your appearance, you look like a 16 year old boy. I mean, you do have a height of a 16 year old boy and a baby face. Hahahahaha!"
Manager Abel jokingly teased him while controlling himself on laughing.
"Oh Come on! I maybe 5'4" but I'm 24 years old. I already showed you my ID."
Bats just sighed as he was embarrassed hearing he look like a teenager boy.
"Just kidding!Haha"
"But really, selling guns here are prohibited even if you say it's for self defense. Why not try on a gunstore just like I said when you asked me before?
The manager with tears from his eyes due to laughter said,
"I already tried it, I'm already qualified based on the qualifications but the requirements.... it's too many. It will eat much time if I'll process it one by one."
Bats showed his face with disappointment.
"But why do you need it though? I'm also curious why?"
Manager Abel asked with curiosity.
Bats just lied and said,
"Rumors had it that a group of terrorist is lurking here in Cordillera. It's better to have a gun incase of terrorist attack."
"And you believe on that? Rumors are just rumors until proven you know. Aiyahhh, don't worry for something like that. We have a military camp here in Baguio, they will easily respond if such things happen."
Manager Abel patted Bats shoulder as he replied.
