Chapter 4 - Mutation

"Doctor no.8 gene are unstable, and he could lose his rationality from the intense mental pain," the assistant said in a worried voice.

"Did I ask for your concern and what you think? What I paid you for is to listen and do what I ask," the doctor growled in a threatening tone.

"Yes, sir," the assistant, who was worried and trying to argue with the doctor, got silence as the gene was ready to be used.

"Now bring me the gene," asked the doctor, who strench his hand to grab the tube where the red colored gene potion was laid on the table.

"Sir, we are ready for the gene potion placement," a different assistant than the first walk toward him and handed him a paper.

"Ok, good it time to see if is a failure which is what I despice or a success which will bring me what I want," the doctor said caressing the glass while thinking of when his dream coming into this world.

*Binnnnn*

The machine, which was holding him in place, suddenly got destroyed as the different Zale soon came into view.

"I see another mutation.... asaahhhhhhhh," the doctor screamed in anger, as rage was visible on his face.

The assistants who were around him slowly walk to the door as they know what will happen if they stay here.

Due to them already witnessing it multiple times, the door soon opened, and the already worry assistant quickly ran outside.

"Look like this fortunate experiment that the doctor bought with a little more money that usual seems to have failed," said

An assistant who looks excited and also worries about escape unscave with what the doctor would do next.

"Yeah, from the way the blood sample of the experiments seem amazing..... I was expecting good things," said a female assistant, which brought water for her fellow scientists.

"Well, we are lucky to have survived, but I don't know about that but Fero should not be happy from the out come," said another male assistant scientist as the rest nodded understanding what he meant.

"Well, let just pray for his luck to really come and help him," said another purple hair female scientist.

"Yeahhh," the scientists replied in unizing.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh... bring me the person which recommended bought him," shouted the doctor after screaming, who had been in a state of madness.

Turning to look at the assistants, which has been too late to run away, out of fear.

Zale's eyes flickered open, hazy with the remnants of sedatives. He tried to move, but the metal restraints held firm. Panic surged through him.

"What… am I?" he rasped.

Dr. Orlan leaned closer, his thin lips curling into a cruel, anger smile. "You are a failure i expexted to have suceed with all that courage but you still fail." His voice carried a disturbing anger. "Throw him to the Space with the rest."

Zale's body was filled with pain after the change of machine in the gene change, but something in Orlan's voice sent a new kind of terror through him. His gaze shifted to the massive cylinder at the center of the lab—a containment tank filled with thick green fluid. Floating inside was something monstrous: a humanoid shape covered in dark green scales, its long tail swaying with unnatural grace.

Zale's collapse as he fell unconscious and slowly close his eyes, the appearance of a humaiod reptile like creature appeared in a green liquid mix glass container.

Monster No. 8.

The doctor suddenly appeard as him placed a gloved hand on Zale's shoulder, his touch cold as death. "You should be honored. That creature was once nothing but flesh and rage. But with my research, I have given it intelligence, purpose. And now, I will give its power to you but you failed."

Orlan ignored his screams, flipping a switch. Machinery whirred to life, and thick cables slithered toward Zale's body. A needle-like injector plunged into his arm, flooding his veins with something that burned like liquid fire. His vision blurred, his muscles spasming as the monster's DNA forced its way into his cells.

Pain. Agony beyond words. His bones cracked and reshaped, his skin shifting between human flesh and something tougher, scaled. His hands twisted into clawed fingers, his spine elongated, forming a tail that curled and lashed wildly against the table.

Zale screamed, but his voice was no longer fully human. It was deeper, guttural, laced with something primal.

Zale suddenly jumped up, as he immediately concluded that was nothing but a his nightmare, he breathe quickly as he felt like is heart pounding heavily in his heart.

Zale looked around to see himself in a dark forest filled with strange looking tree and grass around him.

Zale gasped for breath, before trying to stand up as a loud sound echo around him as the grounf he try to push up had his hand deep into the ground.

Feeling the raw power coursing through him. Zale mind ran into a state of over drive as he felt like he was more beast than the human he once was.

"Where am I!!!!...." he shouted at the top of his lungs as his eyes turn red from his raging anger and fury which was fuel from the pain.

After some minutes of shouting at the top of his long not understanding what he was, or where he was.

Zale lay down on the cold muddy ground, looking at the sky with was dark with a weird moon and little stars.

Instinctive feeling this was not the same things he saw when he normally look at the sky deep in the night.

'Well after that lud scream of mine, I can't feeling my emotion to kill that bastard rising up at this moment,' Zale thought noticing his instable emotion now stable all of a sudden.

Zale could only put this as his emotion being in a weird manner, thinking of how he could never gave even control himself when something like this ever happened in movies.

"What ever that bastard of a doctor did to my body and cause me to change like that I will get back my revenge and make sure he suffer," Zale said in angry tone.
