"My mission is only to ensure that the First Hokage cannot be resurrected by the Impure World Reincarnation again. Everything else has nothing to do with me," Uchiha Itachi said coldly.
"Then you just watch carefully, but I know exactly what kind of person you are. Don't try to play tricks on me later, or I will kill your stupid Ototo right away," Kirito threatened with a dangerous smile on his face.
Hearing this, Itachi frowned and said nothing more.
Kirito turned his head and said to Pakura, "Pakura, your ability is too ostentatious. When you go out, just stand aside and watch."
"Yes, Lord Kirito," Pakura responded respectfully and stood behind Kirito.
The first game ended abruptly.
At this point in the game, the plot has begun to get out of control.
In the second match, the armless Zaku Abumi fought Kankurō. Zaku was strangled to death by Kankurō's puppet Crow. However, this was a blessing in disguise; at least he avoided becoming a sacrifice for the Impure World Reincarnation in the original work.
In the third match, Ken Misumi fought against Aburame Shino. Ken Misumi's ligaments were bitten by Shino's insects, leaving him on the verge of paralysis.
In the fourth match, Nara Shikamaru fought Kin Tsuchi and won with his superior IQ.
In the fifth match, Naruto Uzumaki faced Akado Yoroi. Due to Naruto's immense chakra reserves, Akado absorbed too much chakra and suffocated to death.
In the sixth game, Yakushi Kabuto faced Itachi. Kabuto didn't dare to fight seriously against Itachi, who he suspected to be an Akatsuki member in disguise. Kabuto decided to forfeit before the match started.
In the seventh game, Uchiha Sasuke faced Inuzuka Kiba. Sasuke endured the pain of the curse mark and narrowly defeated Kiba.
The eighth match was Pakura versus Haruno Sakura.
"How could this happen?" Upon learning that her opponent was a Rain Ninja, Sakura's heart sank, and she collapsed to the ground.
In her opinion, the reason Yamanaka Ino survived her match against the Rain Ninja was entirely due to the intervention of the jonin like Kakashi and Might Guy. Facing one of the bandaged man's companions felt like walking into a death trap.
At this moment, Hatake Kakashi, who had just finished talking with Sarutobi Hiruzen and others, approached with the injured Sasuke. He looked at the big screen of the preliminaries, patted Sakura's shoulder, and sighed. "Give up. This level of opponent isn't someone you can handle right now."
"Teacher Kakashi," Sakura was so moved she almost cried. But when she glanced at Sasuke standing beside her and thought of Naruto's victory, determination filled her eyes. She wiped away her tears and said, "No, Teacher Kakashi. Since Sasuke and Naruto have both won, I want to win too."
"You..." Kakashi hesitated but saw the determination in her eyes. Reluctantly, he agreed. "Alright. But listen, Might Guy will intervene if your life is in danger. Be careful."
"Thank you, Teacher Kakashi," Sakura said, relieved. However, she felt conflicted when she realized Sasuke wouldn't be watching her match. She couldn't back out now, not after Naruto's encouragement.
Seeing Sakura accept the challenge, Pakura raised an eyebrow in surprise. She nodded to Kirito, and after receiving his permission, disappeared in a puff of smoke and reappeared near Moonlight Gale.
The arena fell silent, and the jonin watching exchanged solemn looks.
Naruto broke the silence by asking Shikamaru, "Shikamaru, that Rain Ninja looks really strong. Can Sakura win?"
"She can't," Neji Hyūga interjected before Shikamaru could respond. "That woman's chakra level surpasses most jonin."
Rock Lee, standing next to Neji, nodded grimly. "Naruto, I hate to admit it, but Sakura is outmatched this time."
"Jonin?" Naruto was stunned. "Is there really a Genin who can beat a jonin?"
"Idiot. Don't you get it? She's not a Genin at all," Shikamaru retorted.
Naruto exclaimed, "Then isn't Sakura in danger? I have to tell Kakashi-sensei!"
At this moment, Might Guy intercepted him. "It's no use, Naruto. The opponent's identity is legitimate. Nothing can be done unless her identity as a Rain Ninja is proven false."
"But!" Naruto began.
"I've already promised Kakashi that I'll step in if Sakura's life is at risk," Might Guy assured him.
While they spoke, Pakura and Sakura faced off in the arena.
Sakura took a kunai from her pouch, her hand trembling slightly.
Thirty paces away, Pakura stood calm and composed.
"Start," Moonlight Gale announced, and the match began.
Sakura, summoning all her courage, hurled several kunai as a distraction and charged forward.
