"Where the hell am I?" Kirito opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by collapsed houses, with a lifeless, unfamiliar woman lying on top of him. His head throbbed, and fragments of memory started to come back. Just moments ago, he had been reading the fanfiction of Naruto. He was about to send a reward to the author, but now he found himself in this strange place. Could it be that he had time-traveled?
At that moment, a furious roar echoed in the distance, filled with intense hatred and malice. Nine massive, fiery red tails unfurled in the air, generating a violent gust of wind. The nearby houses were torn apart like thin paper, sending wooden boards, dust, and debris flying everywhere. The villagers, who had been going about their peaceful lives, now screamed in terror and despair at the sight.
"The Nine-Tailed Fox," Kirito murmured, realizing with a shock that he had somehow been transported into the world of *Naruto*, specifically to the Hidden Leaf Village on the night of the Nine-Tails attack.
His new body was that of a boy named Fujiwara Kirito, who was not even six years old. He had messy black hair, black pupils, and striking features, making him stand out even among the handsome Uchiha clan. However, the situation was dire—his mother had died protecting him, and his father, a special forces member of Konoha, had gone to reinforce the Third Hokage, only to die as well.
Feeling a sharp pang in his heart, Kirito struggled to move the woman's body off him. Her face, though lifeless, still bore a kind smile. Was this sorrow he felt due to the lingering emotions of the body's original owner? He didn't have time to dwell on it—he needed to flee, and fast. As he ran in the opposite direction of the Nine-Tails, he saw destruction everywhere—villagers and ninjas alike lay scattered, with even a few ANBU among them. But survival was his priority.
As he passed an alley, he heard a girl's cry that made him stop. "Mommy, Daddy," the girl sobbed. Looking in the direction of the sound, he saw a long-haired girl around his age, dressed in gray with a flaming fan emblem on her back. She was crawling against the alley wall, crying, while rocks fell dangerously close to her.
A decision flashed in his mind: save her or not? But without hesitation, he dashed towards her, grabbed her hand, and said only, "Follow me closely." Without looking back, he ran towards the crowd. Moments after they left, the alley collapsed under the weight of falling debris.
They finally reached a safe area near a shelter, and the girl, still shaken, softly said, "Thank you."
Kirito let go of her hand and turned to look at her. She was a beautiful girl with long black hair, a teardrop-shaped mole under her right eye, and delicate features. Her misty eyes were bright and lively, full of spirit.
"My name is Uchiha Izumi. What's your name?" she asked, wiping away her tears.
"Kirito, Fujiwara Kirito," he replied, after a brief pause. Internally, he resolved to live under this identity and take care of the body's original owner's unfinished business. He would ensure a proper burial for his mother.
As soon as he made this resolution, a rush of memories from the original owner flooded his mind, causing a slight headache.
"Are you okay, Kirito-kun?" Uchiha Izumi asked, noticing his discomfort.
"I'm fine. Let's keep going," he replied, shaking his head. The two continued towards the shelter.
As they approached, Kirito overheard an argument between some Uchiha clan members and a few ninjas dressed in ANBU uniforms, who were actually members of Root. "Go back quickly; Lord Danzo has ordered that no Uchiha clan member can get close to the Nine-Tails," one of them barked. "Damn it," Kirito thought, sneering inwardly. Danzo, the second most powerful figure in Konoha after Sarutobi Hiruzen, was notorious for his internal power struggles, even during a crisis like this.
Not long after entering the shelter, another boy around their age rushed in, carrying a baby. "No way, could that be Uchiha Itachi, the future traitor of the Uchiha clan, and his little brother, Sasuke?" Kirito thought. Uchiha Izumi's next words confirmed his suspicion.
"Itachi!" she called, waving to the boy, who approached them calmly, still holding the baby.
"Are you okay?" Itachi asked Izumi.
"Yes, Kirito-kun saved me," she replied, though her expression grew sad. "But my parents..."
"My condolences," Itachi said gently, before turning to Kirito. "Thank you for saving her."
Kirito, however, wanted to keep his distance from the boy who would one day slaughter his own family. He simply nodded and found an empty seat far away, avoiding further conversation.
"What's wrong with Kirito-kun?" Izumi asked, watching him walk away.
Itachi, ever perceptive, noticed Kirito's reluctance to interact with him and assumed it was because he was wary of the Uchiha clan's reputation. "He probably just lost a family member," Itachi replied, adding to himself that Kirito's bloodstained clothes likely meant his family had died protecting him.
As Itachi gazed up at the bloody full moon, lost in thought, Kirito, now seated far away, rolled his eyes. "There he goes again, contemplating the meaning of life," he muttered.
Just then, a voice echoed in his mind: "Ding, the Lolita System is binding."
"The system has been successfully bound. Capture the heart of your chosen loli, and you will receive a reward. Given the host's current predicament, we will release a newbie benefit to help you through this difficult time. Your mission is to become the strongest loli master."
The system presented him with two options:
1. Win over Uchiha Izumi. Reward: Kyoka Suigetsu, the Zanpakuto from the world of *Bleach*.
2. Let Uchiha Izumi fall in love with Uchiha Itachi as in the original story. Reward: A designated theft card from the Naruto world.
