Chapter 25 - Little Devil

Holding a potion vial, Avi stared at the seemingly relaxed and calm Ramiel. Immeasurable amounts of confidence were beaming from him. In her eyes, the man looked as if he knew perfectly well what he was doing. Despite everything, the fairy was terribly worried about him. She wanted to stay with him and cheer him on, but she couldn't. The former hunter had entrusted her with an important task.

Avi couldn't let him down!

Flapping her transparent wings, she flew up to Asme. Her condition wasn't life-threatening, and thanks to Ramiel's quick reaction, the wound wasn't fatal. She had abrasions and bruises in places and temporarily lost consciousness due to what we'll call turbulence, but it was nothing that couldn't be healed.

Avi called two goblins to carry the woman. Caera wanted to help, but she suffered numerous wounds. In the end, she was the one who took the brunt of the young Night Ripper's blow.

"Uhm... " A moan of pain escaped Asme's lips. The goblins, not caring at all, moved with the horned beauty towards the lake. The skeletons advanced right behind them. Rascal secured the rear, watching the standoff between the Master and the Night Ripper.

Only Caera and Avi remained. Gritting her teeth, the elfess struggled to feet. She held out hand to Ramiel, forming modest lightning bolts around it.

Avi, seeing what Caera was trying to do, interrupted her. In a flash, she hovered in front of her hand.

" Stop, you can't do it! " - The fairy shouted firmly. She had to stop the reckless elfess at all costs.

" Are you crazy! You have to help him! Move away! " - The elfess protested, putting up a fierce resistance. The fairy brought out the heavy guns.

" Use your brain! Do you think Ramiel would fight this thing if he wasn't sure of victory? " - Avi looked threateningly at Caera. Her gaze pierced the poor elfess to the core.

" This... " - Caera felt beaten down.

 " There is no - "This!" Think a little. What if your lightning bolt hurts Ramiel? By now, you should have noticed his magic. " - Avi aptly pointed out the flaws, embarrassing the elfess, and it's worth mentioning that she is just getting started. " What if your lightning destroys the shadow? How will he be able to escape when there are no shadows!?! Have you thought about that? "

Caera lowered her gaze. She had a vague feeling in her head. She wholeheartedly wanted to help, but what if it would hurt even more? The elfess gave up and dispelled the spell. Avi was right. Her unexpected help might do more harm than good.

The little fairy breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that Ramiel had already planned the initial steps. Any unforeseen factor could ruin everything, even lead to his death. And that was something she couldn't allow.

Her small wings fluttered, and she stayed on the woman's shoulder in a moment. - " We must retreat with the others. If we stay here, we will be a burden to him. "

The elfess, beating her thoughts, took one last look at the man's back. In her eyes could be seen, fear, longing, anxiety, and adoration?

It was hard to discern her emotions exactly.

Caera drew her lips into a straight line and retreated with a pained heart, leaving Ramiel's survival in the hands of the goddess of fortune...

It took them about fifteen minutes to reach the lake, which is a kind of crossroads. Being there, Avi divided up the tasks.

The goblins were responsible for extracting Lilies and placing them at the entrance. It was up to the skeletons to build a barricade, and Caera had to care for Asme. The woman hadn't yet regained consciousness.

The elfess took out the vial she had received from Avi and poured it into the succubus' mouth. The smell of jasmine and chokeberry spread through the air. It was a side effect of the potion that worked almost immediately.

The wound on Asme's back stopped bleeding. It wasn't deep. On the ground, the doctor would have recommended suturing it, but here, they didn't have the means to do so. Completing the ring, Ramiel thought of everything but thread and medical needles. After all, he isn't infallible.

Now, the horned beauty lay on the elfess's lap, occasionally wrinkling her face in a grimace. Unfortunately, the vial's contents didn't relieve the pain in any way. The liquid's effect was limited to stopping the bleeding and increasing the natural regeneration rate.

At the same time that Caera was tending to her friend, Avi gazed anxiously down the hallway. The sounds of fighting had stopped some time ago.

Is Ramiel all right? Maybe he is injured and needs help? - These and a mass of other thoughts swirled in the back of the fairy's head. Thanks to the bond between them, she felt that everything was fine, but anxiety still remained.

The fairy clenched fists in helplessness. She wanted to fly and help Ramiel with all her heart, but she couldn't. Her presence would make everything worse. The former hunter would then have to take care of her safety as well.

There was nothing more Avi could do than she had done so far. All that was left for her was to wait. The fairy sighed as she watched the progress. She needed to take her mind off something...

By the way, the skeletons had done a good job. The barricade was ready and looked respectable. It's not a marvel of engineering, but it will hold back the monster for a few minutes.

Rascal proudly stood at the head in full readiness. Behind him, goblin number two flexed his muscles, holding spears in both hands, and an archer held an arrow on the string.

The next fifteen minutes passed in suspense and were a real torture for Avi. Time dragged on inexorably, and every second seemed like an eternity. But soon, the fairy's suffering came to an end.

The sound of quiet, rhythmic footsteps echoed down the hallway. Avi immediately dashed toward the source of the sound. It was hardly prudent, but she never followed logic.

After a moment, the fairy fell into the arms of a man soiled with blood. His clothes were ragged and full of holes, like Swiss cheese. But Avi didn't mind. The smell of sweat and blood didn't repel her. When she had had enough tenderness, she circled Ramiel several times, looking for injuries.

Aside from a few bruises and scratches, she found nothing of concern. Unable to stand it any longer, she sat on his shoulder, sinking her teeth into the man's neck.

' Pff... and I stupidly thought you were worried about me ' - Ramiel snorted.

' Because I'm worried! But hunger is stronger... ' - It was a blatant and blatant lie. Avi simply didn't want to show her true feelings to Ramiel. However, she couldn't foresee that he knew everything. However, for the sake of the public, he decided to keep quiet about it.

The former hunter glared at the barricade in his eyes.

' Was it you who ordered them to do it ? ' - Ramiel asked.

'Yes, a precaution in case you wanted to escape. ' - Avi replied carelessly. She didn't think it was a big deal.

' Good work, it may come in handy in the future. ' - Ramiel praised the fairy sincerely. At moments like this, he regained his faith in the incompetent helper. It's good to have people around you who can think. It makes life much easier.

Ramiel easily avoided the minefield and jumped over the barricade, causing an uproar in the makeshift camp.

The goblins let out shouts of victory. The big enemy fell without serious casualties. Even four bone folk survived. Unfortunately, one broke while building a barricade. A loose log of wood fell, destroying it.

Caera, seeing Ramiel intact, breathed a sigh of relief. Her heart calmed, and her breathing normalized. The corners of her mouth involuntarily curved into crescents, forming a lovely smile.

" You did a good job, Caera. Let's keep it up. " - Ramiel reflexively combed the woman's hair.

The elfess's cheeks turned pink, and her ears fluttered dynamically. Caera was filled with joy. The man not only complimented her but also stroked her head.

Understandably, the woman yielded to him. The man was handsome, but above all, he showed appropriate tenderness and care. The elfess didn't have to pretend to be anyone else with him. She could be herself. She saw in him her support. In fact, Caera was already his. All he had to do was take that one final step.

Pretending to be ignorant, Ramiel lifted Asme onto his back. He wrapped hands around her neck, and her head self-righteously rested on his shoulder. The former hunter didn't want the horned beauty to be treated like a sack of potatoes. goblins lacked the proper finesse and delicacy for that.

" We should go. " - The former hunter gave the order while leading the procession.

On the way back, an amusing incident occurred. A white snake attacked when it saw Avi biting its human. With a menacing hiss, it wrapped its body around the fairy. Avi was caught and trapped without a chance to escape.

The snake didn't stop there. It opened its jaws, exposing venomous fangs. It was ready to get rid of the intrusive rodent.

" Ramiel, help! This thing wants to eat me! HELP! " - Avi screamed as she felt the breath of death on her neck. She struggled and kicked, but it didn't help at all.

Terrified by the vision of death, she cried. With such behavior, she only worsened her situation, causing the grip to tighten.

" Sarron let her go... she didn't want to hurt me. This is her way of expressing her feelings. " - Ramiel sighed, he couldn't even have a moment of peace.

Confused, the snake let go of its would-be victim. He didn't understand why a human would let go of someone who was causing him pain, but he didn't question the bond's decision.

Avi shot like a rocket toward Ramiel's head and sat on it. From afar, she watched the unseen assassin.

Does a human like to be bitten? - Sarron thought and tilted his head, staring at the place where the fairy had been a moment ago.

Sensing the snake's thoughts, Ramiel stopped it immediately. He could withstand Avi's bite, but if the white creature were to join her, the man would go crazy.

Even he has some limits.

" Don't even think about it, Sarron. Just because your sister is handicapped and can't show affection in a normal way doesn't mean you have to grow fat, too. If you want, you can curl around my finger and sleep, but for God's sake, don't bite me. "

Sarron regarded the rodent quizzically. Throwing her a look full of contempt, he slipped on Ramiel's finger and wrapped around it.

' You must teach this creature manners! ' - The upset fairy protested.

' Why would I do that... He was only trying to protect me. ' - Ramiel aptly pointed out.

' You!!! You are the worst! I hate you! ' - Avi ran out of logical arguments, so she started insulting the former hunter. Nevertheless, Ramiel had prepared a retort.

' If you hate me so much... then why are you still lying in my hair? '

Avi's face suddenly turned beet red. For the rest of the day, she didn't say another word.

~~~~~~
Ramiel was sitting on the skin of The Dead Gnu. Next to him stood a bowl of scarlet water. Inside it lay a bloody piece of cloth.
He gently washed the skin around Asme's wound using his right hand. The wound didn't look too bad. It wasn't too deep, and its edges were smooth. Fortunately, Night Rippers have insanely sharp claws.
Ramiel, unable to wash away dried blood residue, pressed the fabric tighter. In response, Asme hissed painfully. The injuries may not be dangerous, but they hurt terribly.
" Are you all right ? " - He asked the worried man.
" You can continue, master. " - Asme nodded her head.
" Prepare yourself. From now on, it will burn hard. If he doesn't disinfect the wound, infection may set in. Then you will die. " - Ramiel warned her. He sounded calm as if he knew perfectly well what he was doing. His confident attitude reassured the woman a little.
" Will... Will it hurt a lot ? " - A note of fear could be heard in Asme's voice.
" It will hurt like hell. Unfortunately, my painkillers... or as you call it, medicines don't work on you. You've already taken them before." - Ramiel replied dryly.
" You may begin, Master." - Asme clenched her teeth tighter, mentally preparing for the pain to come.
" I will try to be gentle. Just hold on. " Ramiel didn't prolong. He removed the previously prepared disinfectant from the space ring, soaked a clean cloth in it, and poured a quarter of the bottle's contents on the wound.
An odor characteristic of a hospital spread through the air. It was accompanied by an inhuman scream. A passive observer, unaware of the circumstances, might have thought that some sadistic psychopath was just indulging in one of his sick pleasures.
Ramiel noticed this earlier. Asme was extremely sensitive to all kinds of stimuli. Pleasure, pain, tickling. Everything worked on her with redoubled force.
Wanting to relieve the horned beauty of her suffering, the former hunter hugged her from behind, being careful not to touch the foaming wound.
The man's touch had a salutary effect. Feeling the other's body's warmth, the woman stopped shaking. In response to the pain, she dug nails into Ramiel's arm, which encircled her waist.
Ramiel gave Asme a moment of respite. Then he stepped back a bit and disinfected the wound's edges with the other hand.
This triggered another wave of muffled moans. Some of them escaped Asme's lips and turned into familiar cries. Meanwhile, tiny tears appeared at the corners of her eyes.
Ramiel completed the process quickly and then enveloped Asme in a tender embrace. The woman didn't protest. On the contrary, she took full advantage of the situation. What she needed most now was the closeness of another person.
" Are you all right now? " - Ramiel whispered over Asme's ear, deftly balancing on the edge of decency.
" Mhm. " - Asme didn't say anything more, just winked.
" Now, I will apply the ointment and bandage the wound. " Ramiel gently spread the specs to prevent bleeding. When he was finished, he unwrapped the bandages. After a few minutes, he finally finished... the bandage didn't look spectacular, but it did its job. In the meantime, the former hunter suffered a few new wounds on his hand, but he winked at it.
" Thank you... " The woman whispered. She wanted to get up and help clean up, but Ramiel stopped her.
" You are wounded, Asme. You need to rest. This isn't a request but an order. " The woman watched in shock as Ramiel took care of everything. Although she hadn't known him very long, she could tell with certainty that he wasn't like the rest of the dungeon masters.
The vast majority of them wouldn't care about the fate of a poor servant, let alone treat his wounds. Surely, they would have sent him to certain death. In this respect, Ramiel was different from everyone else. He even cared for the goblins, who should have been cannon meat.
As a result, he only gained in Asme's eyes.
Soon, the man dealt with everything. Today had given him a hard time. Ramiel was tired and dreamed of any medium of entertainment.
The former hunter added wood to the fire and lay down on the skin of a dead wildebeest. Everyone but him and Asme had long since drifted off to dreamland.
As for the horned beauty, she prepared to sing. This was already their routine; she sang to Ramiel every day before bed. However, this time, the man interrupted her.
" Asme, you don't have to do this today. As I said before, you should rest. "
The horned beauty's mind was a mess. No one had ever cared for her before.
Ramiel's care and tenderness... it was something new and pleasant at the same time.
Asme didn't think long, so she fixed her hair and lay down on Ramiel. Her head rested on the former hunter's shoulder, and her finger staggered circles on his chest.
Seeing her confused face, the man wanted to ask what was going on, but the succubus preceded him.
 " Why? "
Ramiel lowered eyebrows. He had no idea what this could be about.
" Why what? " - The man struggled in a low murmur. It was the peak of what his tired mind would allow him.
" Why are you so nice... You should be a flesh and blood tyrant, and you... take care of us... and risk your life in our defense. " - Asme's voice trembled, stimulating the remaining of the man's gray cells.
Ohh... So this is one of the golden opportunities. - A switch in Ramiel's mind surprised him, connecting some thought processes. He had hit upon a one-in-a-million situation, and the former hunter knew exactly how to take advantage of it.
The man brushed back the long hair strands behind the woman's ear. Asme's gaze momentarily sank into the abyss of amethyst eyes. She could stare into them for hours. The contradictory mix of feelings she saw in them drove her to the brink of madness.
Worry, attachment, desire for possession, lust, a faint trace of fear and regret? Asme wasn't sure if she read the mood correctly, but this isn't the first time she's seen similar feelings in Ramiel's eyes. She has been following the man closely for a long time, trying to figure him out.
One thing she was sure of, this wasn't the right time for such thoughts.
Asme couldn't stare at the former hunter for long. The longer she looked at him, the more a pleasant, warm feeling grew in her.
" Answer me one question, Asme. If I didn't care about you, would I be doing all this? " - Ramiel slowly moved his fingertips down Asme's back, triggering a previously unknown, addictive feeling in her. The horned beauty immediately became addicted to the new sensation.
" So... do you care about us? " - Asme's breathing sped up.
" Didn't I just say that? " - A ferocious smile appeared on Ramiel's face.
Asme's heart was beating like crazy. The woman rubbed her legs intensely, trying to nullify the characteristic itching in her intimate area. However, this had the opposite effect. This led to an unequivocal situation where the horned beauty stared at Ramiel with anticipation.
" The truth is that I liked you, Asme. " Ramiel muttered, moving a step forward. His fingers changed their target, now circling the woman's tail, bringing her to the brink.
" It's the way you smile, how you try to play tough and independent, even though that's not what you are. Your playful and seductive side is adorable. It moves me as much as Caera's clumsiness and shyness. Her desire to forever grow has something that attracts me. " - Ramiel climbed to acting heights, pouring water like a skilled poet. However, he didn't stop there. " In a word, both of you are important to me. When I see you suffer, my heart burns with pain... "
Ramiel had prepared a few more heartfelt texts, but the succubus wouldn't let him use them.
Asme couldn't stand it any longer. She had to give vent to her emotions and get rid of her younger sister's annoying itch. She jumped on Ramiel, joining their lips in a long kiss.
The act wasn't intended to do anything inappropriate. It served to convey Asme's feelings for Ramiel, at least that was the case the first time. Each subsequent kiss became more and more passionate, appealing and fervent.
Ramiel was enjoying it. Asme was clumsy and inexperienced but a quick learner, which took away a bit of the former hunter's wits. At first, he wanted to tease her a bit, but now he had lost his brakes. After all, he also has some limits.
When they separated, Ramiel took the initiative and aggressively attacked the woman's mouth. He violently penetrated Asme's mouth with tongue and made his dominance clear. It soiled the innocent and hitherto untouched temple. The horned beauty was inexperienced, so her defenses quickly fell, and she surrendered her tongue to the intruder.
Asme felt overwhelmed in her first impulse, but Ramiel's boldness spurred her on even more. Acting on a hunch, the horned beauty began to rub private parts against the man's body. Her younger sister trembled with excitement and let out a little of love juices.
They both completely lost themselves in pleasurable sensations, to the point where Asme ran out of breath. Ramiel, seeing this, broke the passionate kiss. A trickle of saliva hung between their lips.
The former hunter murmured restrainedly, holding back. The gasping Asme with outstretched tongue looked insane. She was panting heavily, the temperature of her body warming her from the inside out. However, what Ramiel wanted and how his body reacted were two different things. The man's younger brother responded in an exemplary manner by waking up.
" Asme... are you sure about this? " - Ramiel muttered through clenched teeth. He made it clear that there may be no turning back.
 " I want... you. " - Without waiting for an answer, Asme brought her face close to the former hunter's chest. Extending her tongue, she licked off the remains of saliva from the kiss.
Her behavior turned Ramiel on. Only one thought ran through his mind.
Jackpot!
