Chapter 88 - Evolution Time(7)

Ramiel focused on the first pillar, which consisted of two elements. Inside the blood-colored liquid, which defied all laws of physics as it flowed upward, flakes of crimson snow floated freely.

The path of development that Asme might have chosen intrigued Ramiel. He was particularly interested in the second part of it.

While the presence of the ice element is obvious in the first part, its identity is hidden behind a dark curtain in the second half.

Ramiel has some suspicions, but nothing definite.

It is 100% related to blood, but what will come of it? - thought the man.

By coincidence, Asme has fallen into the role of a lab rat on which new drugs or chemicals are tested. In this case, it is Ramiel's ability.

The man hesitated whether he should do it, his heart ravaged by uncertainty.

His mind whispered that this was the best option, but his heart instilled in him the fear of loss.

What if I run out of mana? Will Asme survive?

Asme's melodious voice snapped Ramiel out of an avalanche of gloomy thoughts. Felling his hesitation, she grew impatient herself.

" You can start ~ After all, it's not like we won't see each other again. "

Ramiel didn't respond. His eyes, as deep as the abyss, stared at the petite woman's figure, trying to engrave her image in his memory.

He didn't know whether everything would go smoothly. Just in case, he preferred to take precautions.

Hype

Together with the activation of the evolution skill, the mana surrounding the couple boiled. In a brief second, the air temperature rose several degrees.

So far, Ramiel was doing well. Unlike the goblin process, the amount of shrinking mana was within reasonable limits. If it doesn't increase, it should last all day.

Asme wriggled in Ramiel's lap. She could feel the blood bubbling in her veins.

Waves of unbearable heat flooded her steadily, causing annoying discomfort. With each passing second, the intervals between the events shortened dramatically.

The woman was panting heavily, her body temperature became unbearable. At first, she tried to cool the atmosphere with an ice element, but Ramiel firmly forbade it. Even the slightest disturbance in the harmonious circuit of mana could lead to its disruption and self-collapse. There is a reason why Ramiel sits on pins every time, every time, concentrating on the movement of the mana particles.

Asme could hear the blood humming in her veins. To say more, she could feel each red blood cell moving inside her body, penetrating her organs.

Although he tried not to think about it, Ramiel was concerned about Asme's condition. Her body temperature was approaching a dangerous limit, and worst of all, there was nothing he could do about it.

After a few minutes, Asme's state worsened. Her pores opened, releasing fine streaks of scarlet mist. It didn't take long before the metallic scent of blood spread through the dungeon's throne room.

If Ramiel was worried before, he was terrified now. Although keeping his cool came easily to him, the sight of the suffering Asme, standing on the threshold between the Styx and the world of the living, sent him into a panic.

He wanted to stop the process immediately and take the brunt of the recoil caused, but before he had time to interfere with the spell's circuits, the slender hand of the beauty cuddled into his frame and gently brushed his cheek, pale from fear.

" It's... fine, don't worry. " Despite the baking pain that burned her from within,

Asme struggled to come up with a sad smile.

Seeing how anxious Ramiel was, Asme had to do something. A fading voice in her head, whispered that if she didn't, the consequences they would face would be beyond their capabilities.

Ramiel's teeth chattered as they rubbed together. The powerlessness he felt was driving him crazy. Not being able to influence the course of events is the worst thing that can happen, especially if one is a passive observer.

The first time he experienced it was horrible. The second time, he wanted to wipe out all life in the universe. The third time, he gave up on accepting fate... Even though he had experienced it three times, he couldn't get used to it.

His heart was boiling with frustration, and he cursed himself for his weakness and incompetence. Although he had no say in the process, he had to find some sort of scapegoat. Otherwise, his already fading soul would crumble.

Asme's green eyes begged him not to do anything stupid.

Before the worst happened, he felt a burning heat coming from his right cheek. It affected him like a bucket of cold water, cooling his red-hot temper.

Feeling Asme's gaze glued to him, Ramiel regained clarity of mind. For a brief moment, he lost his temper, but everything is back to normal now.

" I'm sorry... it won't happen again. " Although everything looked fine, the man was seething with anger. Through his incompetence, he wouldn't only kill himself but lead to the annihilation of the entire dungeon, including all life forms in it.

At all costs, he refused to show the fear that poured out of his eyes. If he was afraid, what would Asme feel? He didn't even want to think about it. For her, he had to be strong.

" I must... I must rest... " With these words, the horned beauty's consciousness disappeared into the depths of emptiness.

Asme's lithe body lay freely in Ramiel's arms.

" Sweet dreams... "

Before Ramiel could finish, a thin trickle of blood escaped from his space ring. Like a boa constrictor, they coiled around Asme's inert body.

Shock and disbelief were painted on Ramiel's face. His pupils dilated, and his mind stopped.

Where the hell did the blood ring come from? - After a moment, he experienced a daze.

I see...

Suddenly, two twin swords appeared next to Ramiel. The runes engraved on them trembled and emitted a dark red glow.

Abundant amounts of scarlet liquid were forcefully drawn from inside the jewel embedded in the center of the hilt.

The atmosphere around the weapon became heavy, and the space at its edges became blurred.

Like a tsunami ravaging the coast, a wave of savage fury flooded Ramiel, leaving no stone unturned.

Twin swords, they weren't pleased with the brazen thief who stole their life-giving liquid. If they could, they would have ripped the horned beauty to shreds. Unfortunately, they were prevented from doing so by the will of Ramiel, who occasionally glared at them with cold eyes.

Hype

The whip formed from blood threw Ramiel from his stone throne. In the blink of an eye, he flew several meters to the tule, bouncing off the hard floor. He rolled several times on the ground when he landed, slashing his eyebrow.

The twin swords trembled in imitation of laughter. Ironically, they met a similar fate. Thin ribbons of blood wrapped around the hafts, flinging them at the confused man.

Ramiel regained consciousness at the last moment by rolling backward.

Buzz

Buzz

Two black blades were in the rock where Ramiel had been a moment ago. Little did he know, he would have said goodbye to his manhood forever.

A similar thing happened to the evolution of the goblins. Mana forcibly removed factors that shouldn't be there. Because of the familiarity of the element of darkness, it treated the man gently, but the situation turned a hundred and eighty degrees when the succubus was transformed.

The unidentified element, sensing zero connection with Ramiel, got rid of the troublesome trash. It had no reason to treat the intruder gently. He should be happy that he managed to get away with his life or without serious injury.

At the same time that Ramiel was recovering, Asme was tightly enclosed in a bubble of blood. The ball of impenetrable and scarlet liquid floated several meters above the ground.

From time to time, a few drops of fresh blood fell to the ground, but they quickly returned to their place.

Inside, Asme's inert body floated in the air. Thin trickles of blood separated into millions of needles, circling around the helpless woman. Under the strong pressure of the mana, her body temperature normalized. Unfortunately, this was the last of the positive news.

Due to a mysterious element, the thin needles went from a liquid state to a solid state. Their surface became covered with a thin layer of frost, wrapping them in a white quilt-like grass in the morning. They emitted a red glow that gave them an ethereal appearance.

Like one man, all the bloody creations moved toward Asme, piercing her to the core. With needles thinner than human hair, they cascaded into every cell of the woman, destroying and rebuilding her simultaneously.

It was a magnificent spectacle to a passive spectator, but to Asme, it was the worst nightmare. The woman, aware of what was happening, felt as if billions of miniature explosives were exploding inside her body at the same time.

She wanted to scream, but she couldn't. She wanted to beg for mercy, but she couldn't. She wanted to shed tears, but her eyes had long since disappeared. No matter how hard she tried, her lips wouldn't move.

Asme was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The torture she experienced continued uninterrupted for several hours.

The pain she felt during the horn amputation was nothing compared to what she was feeling now.

Her once beautiful and shapely body had turned into a bloody pile of jagged flesh. All that's left of her right arm is a bone with a few muscle fibers dangling freely from it. Everything else looks similar.

Her left breast is completely gone, revealing a barely beating heart. The internal organs, if any remained, were in a deplorable state. The liver had exploded, leaving no trace. The lungs resembled Swiss cheese.

Unfortunately, the destruction process proved stronger than the magical ability of the blood to regenerate. What seemed to be salvation became her doom.

Worst of all was the fact that the blood, floating in the air, didn't allow the tormented woman to die. Every time her heart stopped beating, she forcefully brought it back to life. When her consciousness shattered, the mana put it back together again.

In this way, Asme couldn't escape the fate awaiting her.

The horned beauty thought it couldn't get any worse, but life smiled broadly at her, showing her teeth of rotten and smelly teeth.

As if on cue, the crackling frost penetrated deep into her bones, freezing them from the inside.

Asme had no control over what was happening. She was a passive observer, devoid of any opportunity to interact.

Despairing over her fate, she felt how the sulfurous frost, turned the bones into icicles of frozen ice.

Crackle

Just when it seemed to be over, another wave of scarlet needles fell like hail on the helpless devil woman's body.

Crackle

The weakened bones couldn't withstand the insistent onslaught, crumbling into fine dust.

Asme collapsed. If she regained control of her body, she would spend her entire life as a mentally handicapped human being. Her consciousness didn't last, erasing itself.

After the whole process, what was left of Asme was a pile of red meat that did not resemble a humanoid being in any way.

Suddenly, the dead carcass exploded and then returned to its previous state. This process is repeated countless times. Fortunately, the woman no longer felt pain, as her soul had long since separated from her body.

However, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't leave the bloody prison. The scarlet bubble was impenetrable. Just as it prevented outside agents from entering, it also prevented anything from leaving its interior.

The interior of the thick and crimson bubble trembled. The walls moved, forming four bloody vortices.

Like a black hole pulls in everything in its path, the bloody creations created a suction force, absorbing the scattered remains of Asme's body into the air. The process was painstaking and time-consuming.

Gathering together millions of microscopic chunks of flesh, bone, and cerebrospinal fluid wasn't the easiest of tasks. Imagine moving sand from an entire beach, grain by grain.

It would take a human being ages to do it, but fortunately, there is magic that simplifies many things. Unfortunately, even with its help, it will take many hours.

After an indeterminate amount of time, the bloody vortex returned to its place. The remains of Asme, which they had collected, were dissolved by the walls of the scarlet sphere.

There was an impenetrable silence inside the bubble, but it didn't last long.

In the center of the empty space, piece by piece, a woman's skeleton, consisting of blood-red ice, formed.

As it completed itself, the bloody sphere shrank. Its walls clung tightly to the ice creation, forming a shape that resembled a horned woman.

At the same time, Ramiel watched as the scarlet bubble moved. All this time, he sat and waited patiently for the evolution to end. Blue bags appeared under his eyes, signaling a sleepless night.

Crackle

As his eyelids grew heavy, he was awakened by the sound of breaking glass. He only looked away for a moment, and the bloody ball turned into an ice sculpture.

Numerous cracks appeared on its surface. Before Ramiel could get up, the ice sculpture shattered, revealing...
