I reach the office at 8:55 AM the next day. I see a strong High-D grade 32 years old man already in the lobby where I am supposed to meet my trainer. I also see a girl of my age standing behind him and I can sense she is also at Low-F grade like me.
"You must be Alexander Saad, am I right?" The man ask to which I nod. He says "I am Jack, I will be training you and Ms. Snowfa here in combat until Mr. Cooper says otherwise."
"Yes sir. I am ready to begin the training." I tell him to which he wave his hand saying "Just call me trainer, I am not that old to be called as sir." I reply back saying "Understood trainer." He is at High-D grade and if I am right he is close to level-up soon to Low-C grade.
I wait for him to let us know about the training schedule. He says "Let's go to the training hall then. I need to gauge your power level and combat abilities to plan the training." To which Snowfa and I say in union "Yes trainer."
We go to the 2nd floor of the office. I see many doors here with boards hanging on them with numbers. These are the training rooms which will help us to train ourselves without the risk of getting any fatal injuries.
"These rooms are for kids, we will not be using this floor much like the other people. Nothing is comparable to the experience we get on the field." Our trainer Jack says looking at us.
I agree with him by nodding as I know I have changed after the incident in the forest and I will never be the kid I was before. Snowfa looked at him unable to understand what he is trying to say.
We go inside room 12 which has been assigned for us and see it empty with no equipment or even a chair to sit except for a scanner attached to a screen by the door. I look at Jack who types something on the screen after flashing his watch on the scanner.
He looks at us and says "This will be a fake hunting training exercise. There will be animal robots with grade F power level coming from the door on the other side and you will have to defeat them." Showing us the door I didn't notice before which is opposite to the door we entered.
Snowfa says "Trainer, I have only basic training, I can't fight animals." With fear in her cute voice. Jack replies "You just need to make sure you are standing till the animals are defeated kid. Alexander can handle the animals."
"Trainer, I.." I start to speak which he interrupts saying "I know what you have been through Alex. You will have to get past it soon so you can be what you want to be. And Snowfa, you maybe the manager's daughter, that doesn't mean I will show you any lenience. You will be my trainee till I say otherwise."
Saying this he press the screen again which opens the door opposite to us. I am surprised to know she is Mr. Cooper's daughter. Before I could say anything, I see 4 mechanical tigers coming out growling like real tigers.
I stand in front of Snowfa in a defence stance taking my sword and shield out of the storage. I look back to see her taking out a hammer and covers it with a thin layer of ice. She is also covered with a thin layer of ice. She is having Ice element and is activating the only skill she knows.
I can still see the fear on her face, but determination in her eyes to fight the robot tigers that has come through the door. I did not activate my Ice Armor or infuse the sword with my energy as I know I can fight all the 4 robots without them to a stalemate.
These robot tigers are moving like the real tigers in the wilderness trying to intimidate us. I look at their eyes which are in yellow color with no fear. I take a step back to get close to Snowfa which confused her.
"I will take on three, you go for the last one on the right" I say to her to which she nods and grips her hammer with her 2 hands and look at the robot she has to fight. I just smile at her, seeing myself in her when I first went for the hunt.
I swing my sword to attract the tigers toward me, just like how Dawn used to do when we hunt and all the 4 tigers come at me roaring loudly. They come close to me and try to swipe their mechanical claws at me while 1 of the tiger tries to bite my sword hand.
I shield myself using my shield and try to dodge the tiger's bite, but the tiger is hit by Snowfa before it could. The tiger takes 3 step back by the surprise attack and focuses on her which gave me what I want.
I do a shield bash against 1 tiger making it take 2 steps back and swing my sword at middle tiger while taking a sidestep to dodge the attack coming from my right side. My sword hits the face of the tiger and the red bar on its head turns off. It stops and goes to the door exiting the room.
I look at the tiger that came at me and swing my sword at it's claws. The red bar reduces to 70% once the claw is hit. I nod in understanding what I should do. I just need to keep hitting them until the red bar goes to 0% and it will be considered defeated.
I look at the tiger I shield bashed and see it's bar reduced by 5%. I use my shield to defend against it's claws again while I swipe my sword horizontally hitting its shoulder. It's bar reduces to 50%.
I swing my sword at my back in an instinct hitting the tiger that was about to claw my back reducing it's bar to 0% and it left the room like the 1st tiger. I look at the other tiger and rushed towards it.
It jumps at me seeing I am running towards it. I drop to my knees skidding toward it. I lean back and stab it's stomach while sliding below it bringing it's bar to 0%.
