Chapter 65 - Devastating Truths (1)

As Noah's transformation into his full Junsui form unfolds, the chaos in the arena reaches its peak. Ouran hovers above the battlefield, their smirk widening as they witness the pure, raw power now emanating from Noah. However, their smirk falters slightly as they catch sight of Tahno approaching, a gun in one hand and a device in the other, with the council members flanking him, ready to unleash their fury.

In a swift motion, Ouran thrusts their saber into the air, generating a powerful force field that encases the arena stage, sealing off the six combatants from the outside world. The energy crackles around them, creating an impenetrable barrier that no one from the outside can breach. Tahno's face twists with frustration as he realizes the barrier won't hold against the device designed to neutralize Noah, so Ouran takes immediate action.

With lightning speed, they fly up and strike Noah at the back of his head, aiming precisely at the spot where Tahno had implanted the electrode in his medulla oblongata. With a swift, precise movement, Ouran rips the electrode out just before Noah's rapid healing ability kicks in. Hovering above the arena, Ouran watches with a mixture of excitement and satisfaction as Noah, now fully free from the device's control, turns his attention back to them.

The council and Tahno stare in horror, their terror reflected in their wide eyes. Before them stands Noah, fully transformed into his true demonic Junsui form—demonic wings unfurled, fangs bared, and eyes glowing a vivid, unnatural red. The atmosphere thickens with an overwhelming sense of bloodlust, and Noah's fury is palpable.

Noah locks eyes with Ouran, his gaze filled with an unrelenting desire for revenge. With a guttural roar, he launches himself at Ouran, claws extended, slashing and tearing through the air with a savage ferocity. But Ouran, despite the relentless assault, remains calm, easily dodging and countering each of Noah's attacks. Their voice, filled with excitement, rings out above the chaos.

"Yes, that's it, Noah! Give in to the power! You are so beautiful! This is who you really are!" Ouran's voice drips with a twisted sort of pride as they continue to evade Noah's attacks effortlessly.

Meanwhile, the arena has descended into pure pandemonium. Most of the students, never having witnessed a Junsui demon in real life, are overwhelmed with fear and panic. They scramble for the exits, their terror amplified by the revelation of Noah's true nature. In the stands, President Hiro and the council members look on in a mix of fear and disbelief, paralyzed by the unfolding nightmare.

"What have you done, Tahno?" Vera's voice trembles as she turns to Tahno, her eyes wide with accusation.

"Me? Oh no, don't you dare try to blame this on me, Vera," Tahno snaps back, his voice laced with anger and frustration. "This would've never happened if that Ouran kid hadn't provoked him by hurting his friends. You should be asking Hiro that question because, last I checked, he was the one who allowed Ouran's transfer here. I find it quite strange, to be honest, that he let Ouran in so easily when you all gave me hell about letting Noah in. I wonder what he was thinking?"

"What are you saying, Tahno?" Liam interjects, confusion etched across his face. "President Hiro never agreed to a transfer. Ouran's always been a student here, right?"

Tahno's realization hits him like a freight train, and he starts to laugh—a bitter, almost maniacal sound. "You all are idiots! That person has been playing you guys like a fiddle, possessing you and making you do his will without even knowing it. Ha!"

The council members exchange bewildered looks, their minds reeling from the revelation. Tahno secretly curses himself for not having picked up on the signs earlier. His eyes dart to the wounded cadets—Mai, Nik, Lili, and Gunther—who are still bleeding out on the ground. If they don't get help soon, they will die. Desperation claws at Tahno as he racks his brain for a way to break through the barrier, but the solution eludes him.

"Dammit! Can I do nothing? Ugh!" Tahno's frustration mounts as he watches helplessly.

Ouran, hovering above the chaos, grows increasingly annoyed. "Damn, I had hoped he'd take a bit longer. Well, time to end this." With their saber held high, they begin to channel energy from the heavens, the blade crackling with thunderous power. Once the energy reaches its peak, Ouran unleashes it in a devastating blast, striking Noah directly in the heart.

The force of the blow sends Noah plummeting to the ground, his body slamming into the arena floor with a bone-rattling impact. Though weakened, Noah is not unconscious.

Ouran lands beside Noah, their expression shifting to one of urgency. "I need your decision now, Noah. What will it be? Will you come with me now? You have nothing to lose anymore. Your friends are as good as dead, and now that everyone knows what you are, they'll never treat you like a human again."

Noah's voice, though weak, is filled with unwavering resolve. "Never!" he spits out. "I'll never go with you. I opened up to you, I trusted you, and I actually thought we were friends, but you betrayed me in the worst way, and I'll never forgive you!"

Ouran's eyes flicker with a hint of pain at Noah's words. "You have every right to be mad, but they'll kill you now. I want to save you."

"Never!" Noah roars, his voice growing stronger despite his injuries. "I'd rather die at the hands of humans than lose my humanity to a monster like you."

As if on cue, the energy shield surrounding the arena dissipates, and a powerful beam of spiritual energy shoots toward Ouran, narrowly missing them. "Damn, he's quick!" Ouran mutters, quickly ascending higher into the sky, out of reach. They glance back down at Noah one last time, their expression sorrowful. "I'm sorry, Noah. Forgive me. I'll be waiting for you when you're ready. Come home soon, okay?"

With a final evasive maneuver to dodge another beam, Ouran vanishes into the clouds, disappearing from sight.

"The shield is down! We must hurry!" Kira leads the charge toward their wounded children, with Tahno close behind.

"They've lost a lot of blood! We need to get them to the infirmary immediately. Someone alert the nurse!" Viktor barks out the orders, kneeling beside Mai and taking her hand. His usual stoic demeanor cracks, revealing deep concern. Liam and Kira mirror his actions, trying to comfort their children, while Vera, uncharacteristically soft, watches Nik with an anxious gaze.

"Kira, can't you do something?" Tahno pleads, his voice filled with desperation. "Air elementals can manipulate spiritual energy once they've mastered their element, can't they? You can use it to heal them, right?"

Kira's eyes well with tears, her voice trembling. "I can't. I've mastered the control of all wind forms, but spirit… that was something I could never get down."

Just then, a voice, strong and unfamiliar, cuts through the chaos. "Let me through! There's no time to waste!"

Everyone turns to see a man with snow-white hair and stunning blue eyes, his cloak billowing behind him as he strides toward them with purpose. Tahno, recognizing the man, rolls his eyes but can't hide the relief that washes over him.

"Of course, he'd be here," Tahno mutters under his breath, but despite his apparent disdain, he's secretly glad. He knows that if anyone can help, it's this man.

"Who are you, and what do you want with our children?" Kira demands, her protective instincts kicking in as she leans over Mai. The others also adopt defensive stances, their bodies tense with suspicion.

The man raises his hands in a gesture of peace, his face softening into a reassuring smile. "I'm sorry if I came on too strong, but time is of the essence. I can explain everything later, but if you want your children to survive, I need to act quickly. I have healing capabilities, but even I can't bring anyone back from the dead. Please, let me through. I won't hurt them, I promise."

The parents exchange hesitant glances but slowly move aside, their desperation outweighing their distrust. Tahno adds his voice to the mix, offering some reassurance. "Don't worry. He's trustworthy. He'd never even think of hurting a fly, let alone innocent children. He's harmless."

Reluctantly, they allow the man to approach the wounded cadets. He kneels beside them, a gentle glow emanating from his hands as he moves them over each wound, sealing them one by one. The bleeding stops, and a tense silence falls over the group as they watch him work. Once he finishes, he looks up at them, his expression grave.

"Their wounds are closed, but the damage was extensive," he says quietly. "They're hanging on due to their resilience as marked children, but they won't last forever."

A collective wave of devastation washes over the parents. "But there is hope," the man continues, his voice steady. "But I'll need Noah to do it."

Realization dawns on everyone at once, and the man smiles gently. "Yes, that's right. My name is Lord Mikael, son of the late Lord Cain, and as you've guessed, Noah is my son."
