I'm sitting in a cozy room surrounded by comfortable furniture's and adorned walls and curtains to lighten up the room. My friends are all gathered around me, all of us together on the couch, each with our phones in hand. We're all fully focused on a heated battle game to notice anything going on in our surrounding.
A few other friends are watching us play with interest like spectators. They're cheering at the same pace adding to the tension of the atmosphere. The room is filled with sounds of digital explosion, laser blasts and our jokes and trash talk as we work together to defeat our opponent.
The moon casts a beam through the window insinuating it was already night. But we're all too engrossed in the game to notice our goal solely on winning. The room is filled with tension as the game reaches its end.
"Yes! I got the enemies king"
I suddenly shouted and we all jump and cheer basking in the awesomeness of victory. Our friends join in as we all took a break.
"Now that we've achieved glory as the star team, we're finally in the top 100 best player" Rui Bei one of the members of our team shouted, we were all too tired to cheer so we just raised our hands.
"Xiao Yue, we'll be off now. Its late and we all have work tomorrow" Yi Xi pleaded as she packed her things and got ready to leave.
"No! just one last match" I pouted.
They all shook their heads as they left, leaving me all alone in my parlour. Honestly, I'm also feeling tired and as Yi Xi said I have work tomorrow. Argg! How I wish I was still a high schooler. I lazily dragged my feet to my room as I laid om my bed reminiscing on the events that had been going on in my life.
My life hasn't actually been so bad. I had a care free mom who doesn't seem to care about whatever I do with my life. The only time I've seen her bother so much about me is when her friends start talking about marriage; they always brag about their daughters getting married to a rich CEO or the president's son which seems like a lie, although my mom believes. She always tells me to find a rich boyfriend. So far anytime my marriage is being discussed she always has something to say but there's one thing she says at the end of all her speeches 'Xiao Yue you are a 25-year-old woman you should be married by now and maybe have your first child'.
Apparently, I've got no plans on getting another boyfriend. I have an online boyfriend which my mum doesn't know about; I met him on a game 'legends in the milky way'. Its still so surprising that we've been dating for 4 years and haven't met. Each time we planned to meet something always comes up. Rui Bei and Yi Xi my two colleagues or best friends always advise me to stop dating him because we've not met and he might be cheating on me but I trust him, he seems like a sincere person. Perhaps it doesn't matter if we've not met, I call this 'the mysterious virtual love'.
My train of remembrance was interrupted when I heard footsteps approaching my room door. It must be mum! I pretended to sleep because I wasn't ready for those marriage speeches this night. As soon as I felt the door open and close after some minutes, I opened my eyes and checked the time. It was already 12 am so I drifted to sleep.

I groaned as I felt someone hit me; "Xiao Yue, wake up" it was like my name was being called but I couldn't quite decipher what the person was saying until I felt a sharp pain on my leg."A-ah mum!" I shouted which made my mum smirk"Get up now or you'll be late for work".After tons of twists and turns I had no choice but to stand up lazily from my bed and made my may to the bathroom.
Finally, after a 30 minutes shower I was ready for work as I wore a jumpsuit and left for work. Can't I just play games every day…. humph, or should I change my career. I was so distracted and didn't notice that cars were still passing and continued walking across the road. "Ahh" I screamed as a car hit me causing me to fall really hard. My eyesight became blurry as a man rushed to me; sadly, I couldn't see his face as my eye shut.
