Chapter 2 - ch. 2 rise of adonis

Many years have passed and during this time,Adonis has seen his power grown exponentially. A new member has joined the family, a younger sister named Freyja. Even as an infant, Freyja's dominion over nature is astonishing, rivaling that of high-tier wizards. This revelation has shocked many within their circle, but it is Adonis who feels the weight of this new responsibility most acutely. He knows now that it is his duty to protect her with his life, and the realization has spurred him to train harder than ever before, understanding that he must grow stronger to fulfill this vital role.

But the changes within their world extend beyond Adonis and Freyja. Cain has recently returned from a journey he embarked upon a year prior. Appolo, ever observant, notices a stark transformation in Cain. His eyes, once bright, are now darkened; his hair has turned nearly pitch black; his skin has become pallid; and his teeth have taken on a canine appearance. The darkness that Appolo had observed years ago in Cain has only deepened, manifesting as a more sinister force now that seems to be sapping his strength. This transformation is devastating for Appolo, who had envisioned Cain as the heir to wield Excalibur. The sight of Cain's fall into such darkness is a profound disappointment for him, knowing that the son he had nurtured and raised has strayed so far from the path he had set for him.

In a separate yet equally significant turn of events, Adonis returns to Nyx's village after nearly eleven years of separation. The memories of their last encounter are still lingering in his mind, but he is anxious and excited to see how Nyx has changed over the years. As he approaches the village, his heart races, and he finds himself more nervous than he has ever been facing any beast or enemy. The sight of Nyx is a momentous event; her beauty, more radiant than ever, and her smile as brilliant as a million suns, makes time feel suspended. Her hair flows elegantly in the breeze, and her eyes sparkle with a light that seems to capture the very essence of the universe.

When Nyx turns and sees Adonis, she freezes, unable to reconcile the man before her with the frail boy she once knew. Adonis has transformed into one of the most powerful beings in the realm, his mastery over elemental forces and nature now unparalleled. His body is a testament to his rigorous training, marked by countless scars that tell the story of his journey and growth.

Nyx's voice trembles as she asks, "Adonis, is that really you? Please, tell me you haven't lost your kindness and gentleness. Please, tell me you're not like your brother Cain, as you mentioned in your letters." Adonis, with a soothing expression, steps forward and hums a tune from their childhood—a song once sung by Nyx's late mother. This melody brings tears to Nyx's eyes, and she clings to Adonis, her voice muffled as she comforts herself against adonis. Adonis holds her tightly, vowing to protect her from all threats, even the gods themselves. His promise to shield her from harm reinforces his resolve and solidifies their bond.

However, Adonis must soon continue his quest, embarking on a new journey to procure rare herbs and minerals essential for a ceremony dedicated to his brother Cain. As he returns with the necessary ingredients, the ceremony unfolds amidst the night, filled with the chanting of an ancient language and the rhythmic pounding of drums. The fire pits illuminate the scene as Monna throws the ingredients into the flames, which burst into a chaotic blaze, forming faces of tortured souls that scream in agony. As the fire turns black, Monna summons a typhoon to extinguish the hellish flames.

Cain's reaction is one of uncontrollable rage; he accuses Adonis of sabotage and threatens violence. In the ensuing chaos, Atrieocx intervenes, pinning Cain to the ground and demanding he regain control. Cain, however, breaks free and vanishes into the darkness, never to return. The aftermath of the ceremony leaves Appolo in tears, Monna silently cleaning the debris, and Atrieocx grappling with regret over his harsh actions.

Days later, Adonis embarks on another journey—this one more perilous and lengthy, spanning three years. His quest leads him to the mountain range known as the olympians but he seeks Mt. Olympus, seeking the ichor, the divine blood of the gods. This quest is fraught with difficulty, as it requires not only acquiring the blood of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades but also finding a way to harm them. Adonis considers stealing Poseidon's trident but realizes he must first locate it.

Adonis successfully tracks down Poseidon's trident, only to find an unexpected ally—Hades. The two brothers are engaged in a fierce confrontation, with Poseidon threatening Hades and the battle intensifying. Hades is able to sever Poseidon's arm causing him to lose the trident. Adonis seizes the opportunity to take the trident and battles Hades. The battle that coincides is that of legends, Adonis hears a voice from the depths of hell. This voice yells at adonis "LET GO- LET GO OF YOUR HUMANITY SHOW THEM THE POWER OF A TRUE GOD" with this adonis draws from his hatred and summons a pitch black flame this flame is capable of burning even hades. With Hades injured he begs adonis "please allow me to live i will help you face zeus you can not face him alone bo-" adonis uses the trident to sever hades' head he then kicks his body in the ocean and picks his head up. After managing to collect the blood of both gods. The confrontation was intense, and despite Hades' warnings of a grim fate, Adonis remains resolute.

The final confrontation sees Adonis ascending Mt. Olympus, where he must navigate through a perilous realm to face Zeus and the remaining gods. He encounters Hercules first but evades him due to his lack of strength. When he finally confronts Zeus, he boldly claims responsibility for the deaths of Zeus's brothers and challenges him to a duel. Zeus claims Adonis lies but Adonis throws the heads of poseidon and hades to Zeus, now enraged Zeus attacks with lightning, but Adonis, leveraging his speed and the power of the gods' weapons, manages to wound Zeus. zeus noticing he cant use speed to face adonis opts for a powerful attack and  uses all his strength to deal one fatal punch to adonis' chest adonis was able to withstand the attack with severe injuries but zeus began to cough blood "agh- thi-this feeling is this death i feel cold -i fee-" adonis stands tall still after impaling zeus with the sword of hades.

As Zeus succumbs to his injuries, he questions Adonis "wh-who are you". Adonis states "i and Adonis nox son of the celestial sun appolo monna the mother moon" zeus smiles and rest lays his head back and takes his final breath. With Zeus defeated, Adonis collects the blood of the gods, prepares to return home, and continues his quest for the final ingredient—a phoenix's heart. But he is stopped by the remaining gods standing in his way he proceeds to walk forward all but on move hercules stand in front of him with tears in his eyes "i can feel your anger your hatred b-but why do you hold so much hatred towards zeus" adonis states "He killed nyxes mother he kill the mother to the woman i love all because she refused to birth his child he killed her for no reason" after hearing this hercules steps aside and allows adonis to pass

Years later, Adonis successfully tracks down the elusive phoenix. To obtain the heart, he faces it while blindfolded due to his fears of losing nyx for he must look in its eyes without fear or his soul will burn but to do so he must forget nyx so he chooses to battle the phoenix, overcoming his fears and relying on his other senses. His bravery and resolve allow him to speak to the phoenix where it judges his soul and adonis ask "almighty phoenix grant me your heart so that i may be judged by the creators of existence" with this the phoenix bows its head and allows adonis to sever its head to acquire its heart, a crucial component for his ultimate goal.

With the heart of the phoenix and the remaining materials in hand, Adonis prepares for the final leg of his journey, filled with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. His path is set, and the trials ahead will test his strength, resolve, and the true extent of his power. For now he must face the judgment of his soul and if he is worthy of his fathers blade excalibur.
