Chereads / Apocalyptic Game : Revenge of the Reborn Villain / Chapter 6 - Can your death affect me?

Chapter 6 - Can your death affect me?

There are not many zombies in the stairwell. These monsters are attracted by the sound. The constant screaming outside will make them ignore the quieter stairwell.

"Roar!"

Damian successfully went down to the underground parking lot. Before he could open the door, he heard the sound of hammering metal and the roar of zombies.

He listened carefully and confirmed that the source of the sound was still some distance away from the door, so he opened the door with confidence.

The parking lot was very bright, and the lights made the luxury cars even more valuable. But at this moment, all the expensive branded cars were reduced to scrap metal.

In the corner of the parking lot, a dozen zombies surrounded a car, with two frightened faces in the car.

The zombies slapped the car door and glass crazily. Under the huge force, the car shook continuously, but there was not even a crack on the glass.

'Bulletproof glass, interesting.' Damian thought and smiled politely at the two people in the car, while ignoring their pleas for help, and walking away in the other direction.

The ventilation system working in the underground parking lot hummed, perfectly covering Damian's footsteps.

There are so many zombies in the early days of the apocalypse that there is no need to risk picking off a dozen or so. As for the person stuck in the car, Damian is not a good person to begin with, and there is no pressure and guilt at all in refusing to save him.

Death is something he had long grown accustomed to. For friends and family, let alone some random strangers.

Damian walked forward following the sign hanging on the ceiling. The underground parking lot was very empty, but there were blood stains everywhere on the ground, and there were only the few zombies he saw just now.

It must be that after the survivors were infected into zombies, they were immediately attracted by the sounds coming from the exit and entrance. The bloody footprints extending all the way outside are the best proof.

Damian was not in a hurry to leave. He found the storage room in the parking lot, smashed the lock on it with a sword, and after entering, blocked the door with the furniture inside.

The first day of the end of the world is the most important, but it is also the most dangerous.

Because there are too many survivors, and most of them are on the streets, the streets will be very chaotic before they are all infected or escape.

This is the most dangerous time, as it is very easy to be surrounded by dozens or even hundreds of zombies as survivors are still confused and making noises everywhere.

When all the unlucky ones and fools were almost dead, the survivors who had no way to fight against the zombies would start hiding.

By then, the number of people on the streets will be greatly reduced, and people who dare to take to the streets will also pay attention to hiding. It will be safer then, and this time will not take long, at most two hours, the unlucky people and idiots will be almost dead.

Damian is not short of these two hours, and besides, he has already been upgraded to level 2, so there is no harm in waiting.

Damian didn't waste time. He took out his mobile phone and checked the city map he had just downloaded in the bathroom.

Since the communication equipments are damaged, it means that one cannot make calls, have no signal, or have no network, but it does not hinder the other functions of the mobile phone.

In his previous life, Damian did not leave the city until his death, and only left with the protagonist as a ghost after his death. Although he was very ignorant of the outside world, in exchange he was well aware of this city's various resources.

After excluding the more important treasure chests, large dungeon openings, and the like, the ones he has not forgotten are enough for him to gain advanced development.

He wants to enhance his own strength through intelligence as much as possible before the protagonist arrives here and the plot starts.

It is true that he cannot kill the protagonist because of the protagonist's aura. So his focus in this life should be on how to break or bypass the protagonist's halo. However, everything must still be based on his own strong power.

Otherwise, even if he breaks the protagonist's halo, but cannot defeat the protagonist with hard power, wouldn't that make him a fool?

After all, even if the protagonist Arthur loses his halo, he is still one of the most gifted people in the world.

Damian recalled the resource points on the map and thought about which one to go to first.

What will be most helpful in the last days?

Food? Water? Equipment? Skills?

It is true that these things are very important, but in Damian's opinion, there is a consumable product that far outweighs the importance of these things.

Zombie virus resistance agent—Type II.

A consumable potion that is most common in the later stage but very precious in the early stage.

The effect of it is very simple. Just like the name, the Zombie Virus Resistance Agent-Type II can prevent the user from being threatened by the zombie virus.

Whether you accidentally eat food contaminated with zombie viruses, drink water mixed with zombie viruses, or are bitten by zombies, you don't have to worry about being infected with zombie viruses.

In addition, there are Type I drugs. The effect is that after being infected with the zombie virus and before transforming into a zombie, the use of the drug can interrupt the infection and develop resistance to the zombie virus in the next seven days.

There are three ways to obtain zombie virus resistance potion.

The first one is to kill zombies. There is a chance that a card will be revealed, but it goes without saying how small the chance is. Let alone potions. After Damian killed so many zombies, a total of two cards were revealed, one for a bottle of mineral water, and the other a half steamed bun.

The explosion rate for gifts really sucks dick.

The second way is to open treasure chests, such as the sub-legendary treasure chest just now, but they're also very rare.

The third type is to participate in designated dungeon clearance.

It just so happened that Damian knew exactly where that kind of dungeon was. In his previous life, he had occupied that dungeon for quite a long time, even though it was a little far away.

A chuckle came to his lips remembering how he used to charge people entry tickets for entering the dungeon and then looting them once they got out.

"It will take at least four days." Damian said.

In the end of the world, there is no transportation, and you have to kill zombies or avoid zombie waves on the road. In addition, there are detours due to blocked roads and other reasons. Being able to get closer to the target ten kilometers a day is considered good.

That dungeon is nearly 60 kilometers away from the shopping mall and is across the entire Yale City. It can be reached in four days. But he can also upgrade his speed after leveling up.

With such a long distance, it would be too wasteful to spend all the time on killing zombies and driving on the road.

There are several low-level treasure chests along the way. If you can open one of them, it is better to get a set of junk equipment than nothing.

Damian spent twenty minutes planning the route. He turned off his mobile phone and took out bread and mineral water from his backpack in the dark.

After a while, he left the parking lot. He didn't know when he would have a chance to take a breath. Although he was not thirsty or hungry yet, But it's best to replenish the energy in advance.

"Ahhhhh!"

Suddenly, a shrill scream sounded outside. The direction of the sound was from the entrance. It must have been a desperate survivor who rushed to the underground parking lot.

Unfortunately, this is not a safe place. There are more than ten zombies near the stairs.

Sure enough, two groups of roars sounded from opposite directions, one in the direction of the stairs and the other in the direction of the entrance.

Damian had already thought about the outcome of the people who ran down. To his surprise, those people seemed to be very flexible. They were not caught by the zombies for several minutes, and their footsteps were still moving rapidly towards the utility room.

Damian raised his right hand, and just as he resisted it, a push came from outside the door. However, due to Damian's upgraded strength and the accumulation of furniture, the iron door of the utility room did not move at all.

The people outside were unable to retreat, banging on the door frantically and crying hysterically, begging for help.

"Help me."

"Open the door."

"We can see you're inside. Please open the door. We are not infected. Please _ I'm begging you."

"I'm a police officer. I'm ordering you to open the door this instant."

"Arghhhh"

"Ssssavve mmmeeee"

"Arghhh run. Runnnnnn. Aaaaaahhhh"

Hearing the screams getting louder and louder, Damian just held the door expressionlessly with one hand and put the bread into his mouth with the other.

Swallow until the last mouthful.

As he ate inside, so did the zombies on the outside. Soon the world on both ends returned to quietness.
