In the heart of the ominous darkness, Kaoru turned to Sir Ethan, who stood beside him, brimming with confidence, his massive axe raised high. "Sir Ethan, I'll need your help to handle that giant fox charging at us," he said seriously.
Sir Ethan let out a hearty laugh, his eyes alight with an uncontainable fighting spirit. "Handle it, Sir Kaoru? In my book, there's no such thing as 'handling.' There's only 'destroying'!"
Kaoru smirked, accustomed to his companion's barbaric nature. "Of course, that's just like you. Alright, I'm counting on you for Kyuubi."
Without hesitation, Ethan advanced, swinging his axe with graceful yet overwhelming strength as he prepared to face the raging Kyuubi, who charged at them with feral fury. The once-majestic nine-tailed fox was now a monstrous beast, its body twisted with tentacles and dark energy, letting out a piercing roar that shook the ground beneath them.
As Kaoru focused on Sir Ethan and Kyuubi, Hajun seized the chance to strike from behind. With a swift motion, he conjured a dark blade out of nowhere, thrusting it toward Kaoru, hoping to finish him in one strike. But Kaoru had anticipated the attack.
Just as Hajun closed in, Kaoru spun around, catching Hajun's blade in mid-air with Divide Haglaz. Kaoru's eyes glimmered with a calm yet mocking gaze, only fueling Hajun's rage. "Trying to catch me off guard? How unfortunate for you," Kaoru said with a calm taunt.
Hajun growled in fury. "YOU! Arrogant mortal!"
In a flash, a deadly duel ensued between Kaoru and Hajun. Kaoru moved swiftly, using every combat skill at his disposal to parry and counterattack with deadly precision. Their clashing blades sent sparks flying, as if two forces of nature collided. They exchanged blow after blow, unleashing a storm of energy that tore apart everything around them.
Meanwhile, Ethan faced off against the monstrous Kyuubi. With his colossal axe, he struck down each tentacle that Kyuubi flung at him. Each swing of Ethan's axe produced bursts of light that seared every part of Kyuubi's body that dared to attack him. Kyuubi roared, its body shaking as Ethan's axe pierced its defenses, but it continued its frenzied assault, clawing and lashing out with destructive force.
Laughing in the heat of battle, Ethan reveled in every swing of his axe. "Now this is what I call a fight! Come on, big fox—show me what you've got!" he roared, attacking with even greater intensity.
Back with Kaoru and Hajun, their battle reached a fever pitch. Hajun grew increasingly frustrated and furious, feeling that the power he believed would make him invincible seemed useless against Kaoru's calm composure. He launched a flurry of attacks, hurling blasts of dark energy at Kaoru, but Kaoru deftly evaded each one, countering with perfectly timed strikes.
As the earth-shattering sounds of their clash echoed, Hajun screamed in rage, "YOU WILL REGRET THIS! I AM DARKNESS ETERNAL!"
Kaoru chuckled softly, unfazed by Hajun's boast. In another world, he had faced far deadlier foes—foes truly deserving of the title of pure evil. Although Hajun was indeed a great threat, Kaoru didn't feel the same overwhelming pressure; he still remained vigilant. While an opponent like Hajun warranted his divine mode, Kaoru felt he didn't even need to draw upon his full strength.
A laugh escaped from beneath his helm, resonating with exhilaration and a thrill for the monumental battle. The warrior's hunger for a truly glorious fight burned within him. This was the moment he had awaited—a test of courage and resilience.
Seeing Kaoru relish the battle, Hajun's rage boiled over. His face flushed with fury, and in a desperate bid for victory, he rose into the air, forming a magical formation of swirling darkness around himself, summoning every cursed power at his disposal.
"[Requiem Spiral of Death!]" he bellowed, his voice echoing as the vortex of dark energy grew larger, producing blinding flashes of black and red in the sky. The energy condensed into a deadly surge aimed straight at Kaoru, moving at breakneck speed, like a storm of death ready to devour all in its path.
"BE DESTROYED BY THIS, HUMAN!" Hajun shouted with absolute certainty.
Kaoru stood motionless below, his eyes narrowing as he watched the swirling energy descend. But instead of appearing intimidated, he began to murmur words in the ancient language of Aslan, words only understood by those who fought under the banner of justice and honor. His incantation was calm and resolute, each phrase enveloping Kaoru in an aura of unyielding courage.
"Ardun ka'vral i'shek thal." (Courage comes from one's determination).
The energy surrounding Kaoru grew brighter, radiating a blinding red and blue light. Hajun's deadly surge faltered in the face of Kaoru's luminous aura.
Kaoru lifted his swords, his breath steady, and his expression filled with unwavering confidence. He continued his invocation. "Ithar kava'nar, thal hras'nar, RYEI DAH'TAL!" (To those brave enough to defy the darkness of fate, WE CELEBRATE LOUDLY!)
As he finished the sacred incantation, his swords, Gram and Divide Haglaz, blazed with divine radiance. With a speed beyond mortal perception, Kaoru shot forward, slashing through Hajun's malevolent energy.
"[Ultimate Aslan Style: Double Cross!]" he cried out, his voice echoing with triumphant might.
In one flawless motion, Kaoru crossed his swords in an "X" pattern. Red and blue energy erupted from his blades, forming two enormous cross-shaped slashes that cut directly through Hajun's dark vortex. The slashes not only split through the dark energy but also hurled it back at Hajun with twice the force.
Against the dimming night sky, Hajun's energy erupted like a fading star before dissipating completely, leaving his body emaciated and grotesque. Hajun, the calamity god once feared by all, now struggled to comprehend his defeat. He had been bested—by a mortal he had deemed beneath him.
Fear seeped into his heart as Kaoru landed steadily a few meters away, his armor gleaming in the first light of dawn. Kaoru looked at him with a calm yet piercing gaze, a gaze reflecting an ironclad resolve Hajun had never possessed.
"This fight is over," Kaoru said in a solemn tone, his eyes fixed on Hajun without a hint of doubt. "By the way, you were the strongest opponent I've faced in this world. So, take some pride in that."
Beside him, Sir Ethan had delivered his final blow, reducing Kyuubi to mere fragments of black energy that slowly dissipated. The towering knight approached Kaoru, his massive axe still at his side.
Hajun, now barely clinging to existence, let out a scornful huff, his dimming eyes flickering with the last traces of pride and arrogance. "Hah… a miserable end…" he muttered bitterly. And with a final sigh, Hajun's essence faded, his body crumbling into ash that scattered with the dawning light.
